By Marquise Bullock: There’s been fingers pointed everywhere about the Mayweather-Pacquiao fight not happening. But where did this drama really all start? It started with the success of a 5 ft 6 phenomenon named Manny “Pacman” Pacquiao. Key word, success. And that success had a certain family…respectfully suspicious.
For fight fans that don’t know, during the first negotiations Pacquiao respectively picked out the gloves, ring size, come out last (important to some fighters), and for $10 mil for every pound Mayweather came in over weight. “Pretty Boy” Floyd basically asked for O.S.D.T (Olympic Style Drug Testing), but Pacquiao refused. Floyd wanted a 14 days before the fight cut off date, but “Pacman” wanted the testing 24 days before the fight cut off date. Now Floyd wants the test all the up to the fight, and Pacquiao wants the test 7 days before the fight. Egos, and divas come to mind when you hear things like this go on in boxing. Tyson had Holyfield take a PEDs test the day before the fight and still got beat up.
But some boxing fans are confused. When they think O.S.D.T they think every day testing. And that’s just not the case. The Doctors that come to draw the blood could come 10 days if they wanted, 7 days if they wanted, they could even just come once if they wanted. The fact that it’s random make you skeptical to use any illegal substance. Just thought I clear that up. But usually and most likely they’ll [the doctors] would come like three days tops. And maybe surprise you with a fourth day.

Team Pac is very GUILTY and the boxing community KNOWS it now. The only question now is when will they be EXPOSED to the rest of the world ?Margarito was exposed. If he really wanted to fight like he claims he would accept Mayweather’s single demand, make his demands again(small gloves and ring, as well as the crazy $10 mil/per lb. Mayweather is over 147) and get it on like should have happened from the start. Floyd even agreed to come out first. That’s pretty humble if you ask me. The more i think about it the more I doubt that Pac wants to fight Mayweather.
I agreed to all the testing but they would’nt tell me WHEN they were coming. I need to know ahead of time when they are coming to do the testing. I don’t even know what a steroid look like. I will just fight Shane Mosley instead.
No Pactard can see the clear logic of testing combat sport athletes. Anyone that thinks for themselves knows something is wrong with that. Do you know what’s a Olympic testing? Olympic testing is a whole year long? How could that be applied for a fight in professional boxing? They have only months to prepare for the fight. If Mayweather wants a Olympic testing he should ask the commission because even they’re not fighting they should be tested because Olympic drug testing is a whole year long. As I read on, Pacquiao fans make so many excuses on why Manny shouldn’t be tested… Mayweather called Pacquiao’s bluff ! Manny wanted to drain Floyd to a catch weight, wanted to trap him in a small ring, hit him with small gloves, and use any form of PED’s he wanted… All Floyd said was No PED’s and Pacquiao was like “hell naw we aint fighting!”…So Floyd is like F**K him! All of the other stuff don’t matter. We know Floyd had better defense, better jab, better counters, and is faster. If anyone ask about Power than the PED’s and Testing comes back into play…Did I mention Floyd is a better SouthPaw also!!!
These Pactards just cant believe Pacquiao ran away from the 1st negotiations to fight Josh Clottey instead of agreeing to anything! It took six months to agree to 14 days. And that was only after Mayweather was stun by Mosley. Pacquiao thinks he could finish him. Mayweather is way too smart to pull a Cotto, Hatton/De la hoya. Vacation is the right thing to do! Pacquiao had his chance to get the best job he’d ever had but refused to take the drug test! So now he’s working the McDonald fighters of boxing…And Mayweather is still the Boss on Vacation!!!!
By testing the blood, you establish a biological footprint and then know if anything suspicious is happening which can be masked or just an undetectable or untested designer PED.
This is why olympic testing is important, to raise that flag if certain levels spike, and further testing and investigations can be done on an otherwise clean urine sample or athlete.
Wake up morons, anyone who wants to cheat can cheat easily in boxing, thats why you need olympic testing, to DETER a potential drug cheat. Cheaters are always ahead of a urine test and scheduled blood test, this isnt rocket science, QUIT MAKING EXCUSES FOR A TEST ANY REAL FIGHTER WOULD TAKE FOR THE SPORT AND HIS PEOPLE. not to mention MILLIONS MILLIONS!
The IOC has conducted about 5,000 blood and urine testing in the last Beijing Olympics, 950 of the test has be retested and a number of athletes have their medals taken away from them because of being a drug cheat.
The drug cheats are mostly caught on the sample B of their urine testing.
The IOC had not stopped using urine testing for testing athletes as it is still able to catch drug cheats.
PAC has passed all urine test sanctioned by the US Boxing commission.
PEDS is a really serious thing, but an number of medical experts are divided on the RBT’s effectiveness of catching athletes on PEDS. Urine testing is the standard use and the testing has been improving, just note the number of athletes tested on the last Olympics and some athletes have been disqualified on the routine urine test.
PAC being a sportsman, and does not have to, agreed to Floydies 14 day RBT. Michael Konz also confirmed the 7 day RBT cut off on the last negotiation which the other party refused to acknowledge.
PAC has made concessions to Floydie’s demand, a 7 day cut off is better from his original 14 day cut off. Floydie’s response : ”

The only reason Mayweather’s dad told him to stay away from Pacquiao is because he feel’s that Pacquiao is not clean. Mayweather’s father has also said that his son would beat Pacquiao worst that he did Mosley. You got to understand performance enhancing drugs is nothing to play with; so why risk serious injury, at the hands of someone who may not be clean. Just look at how it has change the power of those 15 homerun a year homerun hitters to 40-50 homeruns a year. iT’S CALLED MANAUFACTURED POWER. When they get caught, the stop but notice how their homeruns go back to 15 and they all always injured. What Mayweather’s dad is saying is that all the money in the world worth sacrificing a injury.

Wow, So this is the Mayweather’s strategy all along. They knew that Floydie would be knocked out by PAC so they made the following points with the objective “Avoid PAC at all cost and make it appear that PAC is avoiding the fight:
1. PAC is getting stronger as he goes up in weights so he must be on something.
2. Introduce RBT in the negotiation, 14 days OOOPS PAC agreed 7 days, make it up to the day of the fight or let Floyd Jr sit it out (go on vacation).
RESULT : FLOYD KEEPS HIS ZERO RECORD AND DOUBTS HANGING ON PAC’s ACHIEVEMENTS.

Where are you getting your information from the comic strips. When did Pacquiao ever agree to random blood testing with no cut-off. Had he did, there would be a signed contract. First of all it was Mayweather who wanted a 14-day cutoff and Pacquiao walked; Mayweather change to unlimited testing with no cut-off, Pacquiao countered with the same 14-day cutoff that he walked away from. Pacquiao has never agreed to random blood testing with no cut-off.
Pacquiao blew his chance of adding some real legitimacy to his legacy had he been able to beat Mayweather. So now all he and his supporters are left with trashing Mayweather to try and boost Pacquiao’s image for fighting all the averages boxers. Like the article says: “The fact that it’s random make you skeptical to use any illegal substance.”

how do you know that Pac is a fraud? Don’t tell me he was not tested by the Commission before and after the fight. Manny was tested everytime he fought. Did they find any PED from the test? None! I respect that, and in no way do I defend Mayweather’s actions outside the ring, but how can you expect a guy who could be looking at several years behind bars, to be thinking about his next fight? Although I do believe that this drug testing issue will never go away until Manny submitts to it whether he fights Mayweather or not.

All Im saying is that every time they ask Manny if he wants to fight Floyd, he says yes, he says he’ll fight any body. He already agreed to a 14 day test. And Floyd never says he wants to fight, he never says lets start the negotiations, yes let’s do it. Manny always tries to give the fans what they want to see, even if it means possibly losing to a 17 pounder more heavier Margarito. Floyd all he cares about is the money.
And I think Floyd is 2 best right now, he is a true champion, but until he beats Pac, he will always be looked at as the boxer who never fought the best.

Paulie Malinaggi and Kermit Cintron also thought there was something strange about a guy who had been rocked and knocked out by smaller fighters, only to dominate bigger fighters in higher weight classes. No one wants to be the bad guy, but obviously, the Mayweather’s don’t mind.
Yeh right! The only reason all this test stuff came up is because of the May Weather camp. No one thought Pac was taking PED before. Like Kellerman said. This is tiresome. As much as it is, facts are facts. Manny messed up the possibility of the two to fight. I know for sure, if Manny really whants to fight Floyd, it could happen some time. I feel strongly and it is difficult to see Manny overwhelm Floyd…really difficult. Look, I could care less about catchweights, because both fighters usually agree, but your wrong about which fighter Catchweights actually favor. Catchweights always favor the fighter coming down in weight as Freddie so eloquently put it, “if a fighter has to train with the burden of coming down in weight, their training is greatly affected”. But that’s not the point I was making. My point is simple fighters, especially the ones who have leverage, always do things to gain an advantage in the negotiation process and catchweights are one of them. I truly believe Floyd’s request for OSDT was nothing more than a smokescreen to get a reaction out of Pacquiao, and what did Pacquiao do? He flinched. He is the one who actually made more out of the drug testing issue than the Mayweather’s did by giving several different reasons why he couldn’t take that kind of testing. Now Mayweather presses the issue even further, after all, why wouldn’t he, Manny already flinched on the issue, so in Floyd’s mind he is on to something. If Floyd is really sincere in his objective to clean up boxing, why doesn’t he bring up the olympic style blood testing to the Boxing Commissions? It is very clear that he just wants it known that he is imposing his will on Pacquiao who also sees giving in to Floyd’s blood testing demand as a sign of wekness. I am sure however that even if Pacquiao agrees to Floyd’s demands, Floyd will find another alibi so as to avoid fighting Pacquiao. Recently, Pacquaio has been calling out Mayweather to fight him and all of you readers know that Mayweather has kept sooo silent. So who is afraid of who? You be the judge.
PAC had only 3 catchweight fighs in his career. One with Oscar who actually suggested it not PAC. PAC against Cotto and Margarito.
His last fight before the ODLH was a lightweight title fight with D Diaz and he has to jump from 135 lbs to 142 lbs in his fight with ODLH at a catchweight per ODLH’s suggestion.
He then went down to light welterweight 140 lbs in beating R Hatton (no catchweight)
He fought Cotto at a catchweight of 145 lbs as he is going up from his last fight from 140 lbs to 145 lbs.
He then fought Clottey at welterweight limit of 147 lbs. ( no catchweight)
PAC is going up in weight again to fight Margo at a catchweight of 150lbs in his last fight.
I’m sure on his next fight if it is with Mosley, it would be at the welterweight limit of 147 lbs.
Unless you are a PAC hater, the three catchweight fights made sense. There are disadvantages for the fighter going up in weight and the fighter going down in weights on catchweight fights. But in PAC’s case (since he is not only winning but dominating), a number of uninformed pundits only focuses on the fighter going down in weight as being disadvantaged.
The two main reasons why the fight did not happen was, Manny’s initial reluctance to take more stringent testing, and the amount of money Mayweather made off of the Mosley fight. It’s ironic how Manny gets a pass for making so many demands for his opponents, especially with rhe catchweights, yet when Mayweather ask for OSDT, many of you saw that as an act of fear. Well what do you call it when a fighter demands a catchweight? Is it for fear that his opponent maybe be to strong or big for him? Is it to “even” the playing field? No, it’s to gain an advantage, especially the way team Pacquiao uses them. So couldn’t this be seen as a sign of fear? To me it’s all BS, after all is it not possible that a “guy who cheats on his wife, would definately cheat on his sport”.

Floyd Sr just confirmed from his latest interview that he doesn’t want his son fighting PAC and to stray away from Manny Pacquiao at all costs. “They can say whatever they want to say but if I had to advise my son not to fight Pacquiao. He don’t need that because he can beat three Pacquiao’s asses on one night to be honest, they all want to see Lil Floyd get beat so bad”.
So that’s it guys. Straight from the horses mouth. I can’t blame Floyd Sr after seeing personally how Ricky Hatton (Floyd Sr was the trainer) was knocked out cold on the second round of his fight with PAC. Floyd Sr left the ring without even checking if Ricky was ok.
I guess Floyd Sr is still having nightmares of that fight but with Floyd Jr (not Ricky) lying flat on the floor and PAC raising his arms in victory.

Manny/Floyd or whoever reading this blog who knows them. My words reflect the sentiment of the boxing community in general. Make this fight happen before it loses it’s relevance. If you don’t, neither ofyou will ever truly be considered “great”. Just good fighters who don’t matter.
We all know that Floyd has some character issues out of the ring but he’s a clean and marketable fighter inside of the ring. People love to watch his style and skill display. That’s what buys his cars, clothes, women…etc. Give us what we’re paying for. The same goes for Manny. Give us what we pay for. If it wasn’t for the boxing fans, no one would ever consider him smart or wise enough to hold a seat in politics. They both are where they are because of us now give us what we pay for.
It all boils down to this. Floyd, you could beat Manny Pacquio if he had deisel gas pumping through his veins and they had top offs in his corner during the fight. You just need to get that money and stop playing pitty pat games. Short and simple
IF “Pretty Boy” really was the greatest fighter of all time, which he isn’t, he would be fighting on a regular basis just like Sugar Ray Robinson and other past great fighters did. Hiding behind some self made rules to protect your record is not the sign of a great fighter, it is the sign of a coward.
In regards to the 7 days for Manny and the 18 days for Shane ESDT allotment, that was all about posturing and Alpha dog game playing. When Manny said “no” to the requirement…Floyd squeezed tighter. Shane just wanted a relevant fight so he would agree to anything to prolong his aging career. It’s all about the balls.

All things being equal as far as skill and size, Floyd should be Manny back to the placenta but Floyd seems to have some doubts in his own ability to make pull it off unaffected. PAC agreed to a 7 day RBT. A 7 day window is good enough as it also protect the fighters as it would give them time to recover for any infection or bruises from the RBT up to the day of the fight.
Floyd/Mosley RBT was stopped 18 days before the fight even though Mosley was a confirmed former steroid user.

If either of them wnnted to fight one another, it would have happened. RBT is a part of boxing life and should never be a problem for an athelete with good character, right? Backing off of the ESDT requirement wouldn’t be a problem, right? That is, if the two wanted to really “get it on”. They are both at fault for this and now their fans will never know who really is the Pound for Pound King. Both Manny and Floyd hace to take a character check for this. Money leaves you at the grave but respectability lives for an eternity.

Your missing 1 key fact, Mayweather knew that Manny would not take the test beforehand. question is why shuold you need to take this sort of test for this fight?
This is an objective and factual article. To me, Pacquiao is the one who stood in the way of the fight. I still think that the fight will happen in 2011, and Mayweather will administer a first class whipping to Pacquiao.

Seems like Khan’s chin is suddenly better and his legs/strength is better than before as well. Coincidentally similar to Pacquiao being an unpolished fighter from before with a chinny chin, suddenly become stronger and indestructable.
I CALL OUT PACQUIAO AND KHAN’S CAMP, they better take olympic style drug testing. When you put your undefeated legacy on the line for the biggest fight of this generation, and you have doubts that your opponent is on steroids (nothing against against Pacquiao, but he’s just too good it warrants normal skepticism except from Pac-tards), then you want him to take a definitive drug test (which the Nevada Commission cannot provide). This makes sense since why else do we have so many fights in Las Vegas? The policies/standards are more lax there.

Floyd Jr is not the Commission. If he has the case of cleaning up the sport, he has to plead his case to the Commission and not play on his rules not the Commission.
