Golden Gloves Champion Vinny O’Brien adds strength and conditioning guru Felix Erazo to his team
Following winning the 2010 New Jersey Golden Gloves championship, boxer Vinny O’Brien of Final Round Boxing and Fitness in Whippany, NJ has had his mind set on one thing—turning pro and becoming champion.
To ensure that he will not only be ready for his first fight but to make a huge explosion onto the pro scene, O’Brien has added strength and conditioning coach Felix Erazo of Semper-Fitness to his team to give him the competitive edge.
“Felix has been incredible since I began working with him,” said O’Brien. “He focuses on improving all aspects of my stamina and endurance, but also on making me stronger and ensuring I won’t gas out in the fight.”
Felix Erazo is a NASM (National Academy of Sports Medicine) certified personal trainer, corrective exercise specialist and certified TRX Suspension trainer with more than 10 years of experience in the health and fitness industry. A former Marine, Felix got his start in the world of training shortly after being honorable discharged, and since has been working with boxers, MMA fighters, and anyone with a desire to improve their health and fitness.
“Since I began working with Felix I have seen a vast improvement in my strength and conditioning,” said O’Brien. “He is a great addition to my team, which is already incredibly strong; everybody is a huge part in helping me reach my goal of becoming the top boxer in my weight class.”
Vinny O’Brien and his coach/manager Lou Esa have spoken with several boxing promotions and are currently in the works of making his professional debut happen in January or February. O’Brien showed the boxing world that he belonged in the ring throughout his impressive performance at the Golden Gloves, and now with the continued work of Lou and Felix he plans to be a force to be reckoned with on the professional level.
