Arum says Pacquiao is going to get his biggest career payday against Mosley

By Dan Ambrose: Manny Pacquiao will do alright in this little mismatch bout that his promoter Bob Arum has set up for him against 40ish Shane Mosley for May 7th. Pacquiao has made $20 million a piece in his last three mismatch bouts against Miguel Cotto, Joshua Clottey and Antonio Margarito. However, Arum sees Pacquiao making even more than that against Mosley, which is kind of hard to believe given how bad Mosley has been fighting recently.
In an article at the manila bulletin – mb.com.ph, Arum said “Manny’s going to get his biggest payday.” Arum didn’t say how much Pacquiao will get for the Mosley fight, but it’s got to be more than $20 million and that’s a huge number. It looks like Arum is counting on a lot of casual boxing fans scooping up this fight in high numbers. Arum has his own way of telling what fans are interested in because fans seem to want to see Pacquiao face Andre Berto and Juan Manuel Marquez rather than the faded Mosley.
Arum could have a better estimate of what fans really want to see than most people think. Arum says “The phone just keep on ringing” in his Top Rank office since the fight with Mosley has been announced.

It is surprising to see there is hardly any feedback on this garbage fight. Is it that the Manny fans like me are so angry that they are reluctant to blow a gasket over this? Or are the pactards so upset that they refuse to acknowledge that Manny is now no different than Fraud.
IMO Manny is just as big a fraud as Floyd. making us believe he is/was different and just wanted to pleas his fans while he really wanted to be Rob And-Run’s puppet. There I said it, he is Rob A-bum’s Beetch!

correction: they were mismatches after the fight because manny won. they were called the toughest fight for manny because he was going against bigger boxers. because you were disappointed manny won nowadays they’re called mismatches. funny writer.

All the haters will be buying this fight with the hopes of seeing PAC lose-which won1t happen.
PAC will stop Mosley, give him a hug at the end of the fight and send Sugar into the sunset with a ton of money. Larry Merchant will then interview Manny as ask him if PAC still willing to fight Floyd. Manny will look into the camera with an expression never seen before and says – Floyd you cowardly p#@$@sy, come out and fight me so I can beat up your god@#$@#am black ass. The whole arena will be stunned to silence momentarily and break into a thundering applause. Meanwhile, Floyd who was watching the fight in his mansion, goes nuts with rage and attacks one of his thugs, gets arrested and this time is sentenced to three years jail time for being a habitual offender.
PAC then fights and beats up Marquez, KO’s Berto and defeats Martinez in his final fight and retires as the GOAT.
It is not so far-fetched that this will happen!
Let JMM fight Berto….and the winner will fight the winner of Pacman-Mosley.
I’m not saying pacquiao isn’t a great fighter I’m saying his opponent is the equivalent of de la hoya right now. I hope the upcoming boxing generation isn’t all about money we need fighters that fight to be champions and beat the best. Btw mosley is not the best.
Different brands carries different price tags. That is the reason why Mosley is the pick roughly for the same price Marquez is asking..If Marquez were to fight Berto, how much do you think will he get as compared to Mosley fighting Berto? ( That maybe a good idea, GBP may try this one to prove Marquez’ worth at welterweight. ) If he wins, he maybe able to get Pacquiao next. They should promote Marquez well. Much like how Top Rank promoted Pacquiao, i.e., if they really believe in Marquez capability.

Hey Queen for a Day……..It wasnt floyd that made Mosley look old it was Mora……Floyd makes everyone look old but Mora. By not being able to beat a CONTENDER Mosley showed how old he is. Atleast Marquez went on to dominate his last two oponents after Mayweather. If he didnt then he would be on the old list too

This is Roach talking in an interview. Listen to it if you don’t believe me. If you watch it and still believe that Pac fought top notch opposition, then you are in denial. If you don’t even believe Pac’s own trainer, then you have a serious problem. How can people ignore the facts, especially when you get the information strait from the horses mouth.
