Pacquiao gets 10 ft bronze statue

By Dave Lahr: Someone in the Philippines decided to erect a huge 10 ft bronze statue of Manny Pacquiao in the bay area of SM Mall of Asia. Apparently, it’s located in Philippines somewhere. My god that statue looks absolutely horrible. Did Pacquiao model for it or what? The face on the statue looks like Pacquiao’s grimacing as if hot molten lead was being poured on his feet. Man, I couldn’t picture a worse looking statue if I tried. Aren’t the eyes too close together on the statue? I don’t know too many humans that have eyes that close together, do you?
According to reports, Pacquiao was a no show for the unveiling of the statue. I don’t blame him. No way would I want to be near that if I was Pacquiao. I think they need to redo the head and make it with a more pleasant looking face. This one looks like Pacquiao is pain.
