Haye wants the Klitschko fight in London – News

By William Mackay: World Boxing Association (WBA) heavyweight champion David Haye (25-1, 23 KO’s) wants no part of fighting Wladimir or Vitali Klitschko in Germany. Instead, Haye, 30, wants to fight one of the Klitschko brothers in London, England. This could be a big problem in making the fight happen, because Haye isn’t calling the shots and if he’s unwilling to fight anywhere else but London, it could make this fight unlikely ever to happen.
Speaking to the southlondonpress.com, Haye said “I want the fight in London. I don’t want to go to Germany. I went out to Germany to win my title and i want my defining fight to be on British soil. They’ve had enough fights in Germany. This is my last year in the sport and there is no doubt it is going to be my best year. I want to go and clear out the heavyweight division.”
I don’t the Klitschkos really care about Haye’s threats of retiring. That’s Haye’s issue. But he’s going to have to step back and realize that he’s not negotiating with Audley Harrison or one of his other local fighters. The Klitschko brothers are the best heavyweights in the division, and Haye needs to try and work something out that will be agreeable. Besides this issue, there’s also the problem of the television money that needs to be solved. The Klitschkos won’t fight Haye until he puts his British pay-perv-view money into the pot for this fight. Haye wants to keep 100% of his British PPV money, but the Klitschkos want half of it before they’ll fight him. Unless Haye agrees to that his last year in boxing – if he’s truly serious about retiring next year – will be spent fighting guys like Ruslan Chagaev instead of the Klitschkos. Haye will make a lot less money against Chagaev or anyone else, need less to say.

All the guys you mentioned are bumbs. Valuev is nothing more than a circus freek no boxing tallent AT ALL. Hollifield got robbed against him and he was like 46 then.
Haye has never been in the ring with anywhare close to a top heavyweight. EVER.
Top heavyweight include the K Bros(of coaurse) then sharp drop of to Adomek, Povetkin, and Haye.
If Haye were to even fight the likes of Areola or Changaev i would have to reconsider. But he hasnt agreed to fight any of these guys.

mormeck, maccarinelli, valuev ruiz?? so haye ducks does he?? none of the klitshko’s would fight valuev and haye wobbled him with a left slap!! can’t see them handling his power! any of them. harrison might be a bum but haye made him look less than ordinary! can’t see haye letting wlad near him and countering his long boring jab EVERY time!! bring it on i can’t wait, gonna put money on a haye win, ko!! then i’ll be back on here laughing it up!!

Audley Harrison is a bumb. Haye could have won that fight with his eyes closed, just as any descent HW could have.
Haye is nothing more than the biggest most well known ducker in Boxing.

Gentlemen, lets get serious. Haye is the new kid on the block without much of a record in the division. He boxes mainly the walking wounded so that he can hold on to his title. David Haye will be in over his little head with either Vitali or Wladimir. You can’t make a silk purse out of this guy even if you wish real hard boys. I can understand that the Brits are really in need of something to cheer them up but Haye will only let you down in the end.
Wlad is like a wooden horse waiting to get rocked. Fact hes too slow.
Haye in my opinion would have wlad flinching in fear of getting ko’d for the whole world to see.
look at the end of the day if haye was to lose to a brother then fair play for earning millions of pounds that you jelous morons will never earn in your life.
Haye is not good enough to fight Wlad. This is a a mismatch of the highest order. A fight with Vitalli makes more sense for Haye. He most likely will be able to run from the older Klitchko.
Lets face it Haye is the biggest joke in boxing. I have no ideal just how he managed to get the WBA belt but last time I checked Wlad won it in the ring. Neither Klitchko needs him and no one short of his mother thinks he is a champion. His rants are old and tired no one believes he will back up anything he says.
The Audley Harrison fight told us everything we need to know about Haye. A weaked chinned bottom feeder that has turned the WBA belt into some British regional belt with no relevance on the world stage.
The WBA should wise up and end this love affair they have with Brash bottom feeder. They have allowed him to embarrass their belt long enough. Give it to the fighter that won it in the ring Wlad Klitchko.
Klitschkos would DESTROY Ghey… Case closed. Jamie you should be a comedian 60/40 , ROFL.
Simple negotiation:
1. 60/40 David: As David generates the most money
2. No rematch clause
3. Fight in US: So nobody has an advantage
Come on Wlad, don’t bish out, sign the contract, what are you waiting for?
If you want to unify the titles this is what you have to do OR if you want to keep fighting fat American bums continue doing this? Upto you.
If I was Wlad I wouldn’t risk fighting David as David is faster and has a knock out right hand.
I’d wait 12 months for David to retire and for the belt to be vacant. Then I’d assume in 12 months Vit will be 40 and not interested in fighting anymore. Then take a fight against some fat American for the 2 vacant belts.
Then Wlad would be the first Russian undisputed champ in history and the first undisputed champ since Lennox.
So my advice to Wlad is don’t be a fool and waste your place in history fighting a dangerous, ruthless and hungry fighter in David Haye.
Just to put the record straight:
The Klitschko’s, especially Vitali is immediately ready and willing to fight in England, provided it is in Wembley Stadion
and of course the Sky-Sports-TV Money must be split then !!
Personally I am still convinced, that Haye uses his PPV Money
greed as a shield (his last one) in order to NOT fight the K’s!
The fight on Nov. 13th showed three things:
- Yes Haye is very fast
- Yes Haye has NO punching power (one attack lastet 42 seconds
with almost as many hits (punches) and practically nothing
happened – there’s just nothing behind it
- Yes Haye did fight – unfortunately against a “sex-dolly”,
in other words the contrahend was just not present…….
It’s about time that the Hayemaker fans realize that this man is just to small, to light and especially to weak to do anything at all to the Klitschko Brother’s !

When was the last time a Haye fight was even remotely exciting?
Against Valuev, Haye ran around the outside of the ring, doing nothing for 11 rounds.
The fight against Ruiz looked remarkably similar to any of Vitali’s stay busy fights.
And then the fight against Audley, in which neither “fighter” landed a punch in the first round, and Haye only threw a few half-hearted attempts in the second, despite the fact that Audley wasn’t even fighting back.
Vitali is an exciting fighter when there’s a worthy opponent in the ring with him. Unfortunately, the last time that happened was against Corrie Sanders. I don’t know anyone who thought that fight was boring.
Wladimir is more like Haye — neither one likes being hit. I fear a fight between those two would be a lot of them staying away from each other.
Haye is a less tha semi talented idiot that just needs to be ignored.

David’s a bigger draw than the Klit’s now, so I think he should demand 60/40 as he gets bums on seats. We all know the Klit’s now have no reputation as exciting fights. There was no interest for Wlad in his last 3 fights against Peters, Chambers and Chisora; whilst for Vit there was no interest in Briggs, Sosnowski, Johnson or Arreloa fights.
There can be no doubt David’s fights against Valuev, Ruiz and Harrison grossed more.
My view is that David should have a commercial advantage that would be approx. 60/40 purse split in David’s favour. As Tyson says he has all the makings of a superstar.
I would argue that the Klit’s have equal rights when it comes to negotiating a venue as all parties are world champs, so a neutral venue should be fair; I think Vegas or Madison would be great places to hold the fight.
Finally neither fighter should be able to insert a rematch clause, these are the top 3 boxers in the world and it’s all at stake.
So the agreement should be financially 60/40 in David’s favour, in the US, with no rematch clause. If this is adherred to I believe David should agree to fighting the first Klit in May and the second in Oct.
If I was David I’d try to get a warm up against Chagaev before he fights the Klit’s.

There would be more money to be made in a British venue. If it were to happen somewhere like wembley stadium, which is 90,000 seater, it would dwarf pretty much any german venue. and all that talk about Haye giving in to their demands, remember he is also a world champion, and is actually a better drawer than the Klitschko’s. Hence why they fight in Germany and not the states or in Britain

Chagaev has hepatitus and is doubtful to be passed to box in the UK. So he might not be the mandatory after all. Vitali says he will fight in London or wherever the most money can be made. The point has been made that the K’s have been paid upfront by german tv as part of their deal and that is why there is poor money in german tv in the pot. So i smell a rat and it is a Ukraine one at that. If they are not being straight the boxing fraternity needs to know.
