Fair play Carl Froch

By Shaun Campbell: Saturday night Carl Froch showed something that completely changed my opinion of him. Before I saw him as a man who got a world title, got lucky by beating Jermain Taylor, and then was exposed by genuine world class fighters in Mikkel Kessler and Andre Dirrell (who in my opinion beat Froch). But his performance on Saturday night was nothing short of exceptional. I’ve got a lot of respect for Carl after watching this fight. The man doesn’t duck anyone, he comes to fight, but he showed he does have some decent boxing skills as he dominated the hard hitting Arthur Abraham.
There is no doubt that he is world class now. For me a few questions still remain about his defence, but right now that’s not important. He’s got his world title back. Let’s allow him to enjoy it as his next fight will be again against Arthur Abraham, who now, I can’t see beating the Nottingham fighter.
So I would like to say sorry to Carl Froch and good luck in the rest of the super 6 tournament.

I beg to differ with this writer ,I thought Froch did enough in both derrell fight and Kessler fight especialy to win.he did show lack of technique in his loss to Kessler however.He should have boxed Kessler more,like he did AA.

well dirrell ducked ward (in a tournament) & taylor ducked ward (in a tournament) & kessler retired (from a tournament). & before the tournament started he faced pascal & taylor off his own back while every other super 6 competitor was facing below par opposition. froch is a warrior.
Froch is fighting Johnson next, and he’s said that himself.

The thing is, Froch, like Bute had the choice of whether to enter into the super six or steer clear, he elected to enter himself and his belt into the 6 rather than sit things out and fight mandatories in Nottingham. Prior to the super six he won his belt in a great fight with Pascal (his now close friend) and decided to jump on a plane and defend it against Jermaine Taylor in the USA for his first defense.
I think Froch has flaws in his game, has trouble against fast fighters and is sketchy on the inside, but rather than dance around guys who will test that he constantly ends up fighting against guys who can nail him.
Froch Pascal was a proper war! Respect to both guys
Froch is a good fighter but defo beatable. I think he wil come unstuck at some point but at least he’s prepared to fight the best. Guys like that deserve respect

Frochs been under rated by many ,but ask pascal how carl can do the business in the first few rounds or the last few. The lads a goodun.
Madison square garden is about halfway between Oakland and Nottingham.Maybe Toronto.Should be a cool fight.

@ magic. How can it be a slugfest,when Abraham don’t throw no damn slugs. If abraham don’t stop being greedy with his punches,ward is going feed him some of his own. I hope Abraham wins,though.

I’m watching Taylor – Froch again and it is closer than I remembered
Ward v Abraham will be a slugfest , Ward to win by headbutt or should I say KO .

I`m Abraham fan. I thought AA is going to Ko Froch and i put lot of money for Abraham to win that fight. But Froch was to strong for AA. I have no Idea why Abraham never tried to fight like last fights. Respect 4 froch. he can win the super six.

Im not a Froch fan at all, but he showed by A MILE the best boxing skill so far in the super6, AA is no pushover. froch women is fine,

He is fighting Johnson he talked about it when he was interviewed after the fight. Kudos to Campbell for admitting he is wrong that Lahr fool must have written literally 6 months of negative articles about Froch, where is he now? One of the reason I rarely come to this site anymore is because of biased-ass writing, that is completely slanted and lacks credibility.

joker c is a real joker!have you ever seen abraham fight?he is a dangerous guy who in this fight was unable to do anything worthwhile because froch kept him at range with his jab and picked him apart all night to the point where arthur stopped throwing because he didnt want to get hit anymore!if you are a boxing fan you would appreciate froch’s performance!

i agree he lost to kessler but not to dirrel.froch did show that he can box well rather than just out slug his opponent.who is he fighting in the semis because most english news etc are saying its abraham rematch but american boxing sites are saying froch v johnson can someone please clear up who is actually fighting in each semi
