Weights: Martinez 128.8, Burns 129.8

World Boxing Organization junior lighteweight champions Román “Rocky” Martínez stop the scales in 128.8 pounds this afternoon in the official weigh in for his third defense against Ricky Burns tomorrow, September 4, at the Kelvin Hall in Glasgow, Scotland. Burns, the first classified, weigh in 129.8 pounds for the bout.

Martínez (24-0-1, 15 KOs) is going to make his second title bout in the United Kingdom after won the belt last year in Manchester when he beat Nicky Cook by KO on March 2009. Burns is a 27 year old fighter with a record of 28-2, 7KOs.

The bout will start at 10:00 p.m. (5:00 p.m. Eastern Time). Referee for the fight is Michael Ortega from United States, while judges are Paul Thomas from England, Donald Trella from United States and Zoltan Enyedi from Hungary.
