U guys don’t understand boxing at all!!! You keep saying canelo is fighting a down hill fighter who is out of his prime. Don’t you amature wanna be boxing fanns understand that a down hill out of his prime baldomir could still beat any average man and whoop about 85% of his opponents or rising prospects? U guys are saying he should be fighting TOP opponents like angulo, Paul williams, or other fighters. The kid is 19 (20 now I think) years old. In the NFL when u draft a rookie most of the time he’s not automatically a starter, you allow your players too develop by feeding them play time little by little and allowing their skills too develop with experience players. You guys are chumps , wanna be expert boxing fanns, canelo is young u dummies, there not matching him up against baldomir just too build his name up, there boxing him up against baldomir beacuse he has experience and skills, sure baldomir ain’t worth sheit now , but he’s a stepping stone for canelo, a diffrent look, somethit canelo can build confidence off and learn from. U guys are straight up haters.?
if canelo alvares can make the 147 division, be carefull with him.
IT WA A HARD FIGHT NOT FOR BALDOMIR BUT FOR ALVAREZ, IT TOOK HIM 6 ROUNDS TO STUDY AND OPEN UP, I WATC SOO MUCH BOXING AND I HAVE TO TELL, THAT I WAS SURPRISE WITH BALDOMIR’S CHIN IF HE CAN TAKE BLOWS O YEA HE CAN, GOOD BOXER, BUT CANELO IS JUST TOO STRONG, HE IS LEARNING HE DID MISTAKES SPEACIALLY DEFENSE, BUT WILL SEE AS HE SAYS IN ABOUT 1 TO 2 YEARS HOW MUCH IMPROVEMENT HE CAN MADE, AND IF HE GOT WHAT IT TAKES, NOT LIKE CHAVEZ. GOOD WIN AND EXPERIENCE FOR CANELO.
An undefeated fighter of 34 fights fighting an old timer with 12 losses another mismatch.Angulo or chaveaez should have been a proper opponent.
THE KID DID WHAT HE WAS SUPOSED TO DO. CANELO IS A “PROSPECT” , HE´´S STILL LEARNING. IN ONE MORE YEAR HELL BE READY FOR THE BIG NAMES. NEEDS TO IMPROVE HIS D.

Pounding an ancient Baldomir or a blown up Cotto Jnr doesn’t make this kid the second coming of Roberto Duran, he has potential no doubt, but to say he is ready for Pac man or Floyd is just plain silly. Put him in with a top hungry contender then we’ll see just how good he is. Peace x

Alvarez got the KO…and Baldomir’s chin is made of granite. He is a great prospect and barely 20 years old. Even more power will come as he develops.
Canelo has alot of talent that is fun to watch specialy by nocking out a guy who has never been ko ,but if he doesn’t want to be criticised he need’s to figth boxers that don’t look like a punching bag.

Saul Alvarez is the TRUTH and he is a PROBLEM for any fighter in the Welterweight division.
But on another NOTE…the announcers Lampley and Merchant was talking all that stuff downgrading Alvarez talents and performance. Questioning his power, speed and tenacity and at the moment Alvarez hit Baldomir with the DEATH BLOW , BALDOMIR KTFO.
This is big accomplishment for Alvarez, Baldomir has one of the BEST chins.
