By Chris Williams: Trainer Freddie Roach thinks his fighter Manny Pacquiao will knock Antonio Margarito out inside eight rounds on November 13th at the Cowboys Stadium, in Arlington, Texas. With Pacquiao having zero experience at junior middleweight and with Margarito having fought at that weight only once in the past six years, Pacquiao and Margarito will be fighting for the vacant WBC junior middleweight title in this fight. That’s pretty funny if you ask me. I guess the title is needed to help validate the fight, because I can’t see any reason for this match-up at all. Roach, naturally, thinks Pacquiao is going to win by knockout, saying in an article at Philstar.com “I’d be disappointed if we [Pacquiao] don’t knock him out inside eight rounds.”
It’s like saying the sun will come up in the morning. Come on, Roach, tell us something we don’t know. How about telling us that Pacquiao will take on Paul Williams, Sergio Martinez or James Kirkland next and knock them out. I can just see that. No, I can’t see it because Pacquiao will never fight those guys, but it would be hilarious to see Roach predicting a knockout in those cases.

in order to get a fight with pacquiao, you have to be:
1. Tailor made for pacquiao style
2. Weight drain
3. Coming of a loss
4. Last 2 fight must be lame and lousy

5. Under top rank promotion
6. Past your prime
7. Slow and not a counter puncher artist. like marquez
8. Never ask for random drug test
9. Must imitate a punching bag inside the ring

As I see it, the real intrigue in putting Pac against Cotto again, was to allow Pac the chance at an 8th title (and to fight a guy he beat, but at a heavier weight and with a new – and real – trainer this time).
If he gets by the cheater, he will have earned his 8th title and that part of the intrigue will have been eliminated. My understanding is that they are looking for Cotto to fight Chavez Jr, and/or Cintron – so I’m not sure Pac is in the picture right now (also, I’m not sure these are the type of fights that will ready you for a fight with Pac).
Also, enough about Money May adn the failed negotiations. He has his own demons to deal with right now (and we may not be hearing from him for quite some time…).

Right on. Everybody needs to stop with this nonsense about Pac fighting a “real” threat. It would have been nice to have a Pac vs (insert your fav fighter – LOL), but that’s not what we’ve got.
Pac probably wins this (on points – let me add) as a huge favorite (I probably wouldn’t make the odds 4-1 in Pac’s favor, but I do understand it), but this will be a good test for BOTH fighters.
BTW, I didn’t know they had a Face-off yet, I’m going to have to check for that ON DEMAND (I enjoy the Face-off’s, but they don’t usually have the trainers there, I wonder why Roach is there).
Who cares? Martinez vs Williams II is a much better fight than watching these two cheaters for 50 bucks.

In the Mayweather fight Mosley who was not afraid of Forrest, Wright, Cotto, or a prime De La Hoya decides he was afraid of getting countered by Mayweather who could not knock out Marquez. Even Marquez chased Mayweather for a full 12 rounds and Mosley didn’t.

Its still a pretty big challenge fighting Margarito. I’m not sure how much of Margaritos success was due to plaster gloves, to me his real skills are a question mark right now.
Its not a “sure thing” like the writer suggests though. Clottey showed us that Pacman can only knock out the guys at higher weights if he does the right things and the right times, and that he can be vulnerable defensively. CLottey just seemed too afraid to pull the trigger and take the chance to capitolize

Hey, Chris, still drinking Kool Aid – as usual – to condescend on the Pacman. How about writing an article like the “Weeder the racist bigot beat the hell out of his fiancee and may go down the slammer”. Then, proceeed writing … it was indeed, stupid of the Weeder to blow up a chance to make the biggest gate reciept in boxing history with Pacman.. Now, he possibly will rot in jail for few years, if convicted – to a point that by the time the racist and woman beater is released from jail, he shall have lost his speed and skill which is the mark of his unblemished professional career. That would be too late to pursue a mega fight with Pacman. At this time, Pac is not serious or interested to fight the Weeder until he clears his name off the jail roster. For the meantime, Pac will just keep on fighting to make cool & easy $12-15 Mil per fight for the next three to five years, then retire. At that time, he probably shall have made over $100 mil, while the Weeder will be possibly serving his dues in jail. Little boy Floyde surely has the genetic marks of his father and uncle who are both jail birds and woman beaters. This surely runs in the family, indeed, and floyde don’t want to break that legacy of a very dysfunctional family of successful but self-destructive people.

I love how Mayweather fans call out Pacquiao to fight fighters like Paul Williams, Sergio Martinez, Timothy Bradley, Andre Berto, and now James Kirkland. Now I am a Pacquiao fan and yes I wish he would fight some of these fighters, but what surprises me is how Mayweather fans don’t call out their fighter to fight these same fighters.
