By Joe Mitchell: CEO of Golden Boy Richard Schaefer says Amir “King” Khan is only a couple of fights away from a mega fight with Floyd Mayweather Jnr. He believes he has a great chance if beats big punching Marcos Maidana and unifies the titles against the winner of Tim Bradley vs. Devon Alexander. He will then no doubt be P4P ranked in the top 10 and be a bigger draw worldwide than he already is now.
A big factor to this possible fight is the people involved. Khan is a Golden Boy fighter so there will be no politics with Top Rank and Bob Arum. Khan also has a great relationship with Sky TV the UK broadcaster and HBO sports like Mayweather does. I think the TV companies are a massive factor because Sky would pay huge sums of money to get Mayweather fighting at Wembley stadium in the UK. Mayweather has also stated many times that fighting at Wembley stadium is one of his goals that he would like to achieve in his career. I have no doubt it could sell out Wembley stadium 80000+ because Mayweather is a huge draw in the UK.
Sky TV pulling power is no doubt effective and with Audley Harrison recently getting a world title shot against WBA Heavyweight Champion David Haye, its shows anything is possible if they have an interest in a fight. Sky TV and HBO have the ability of making this one of the biggest PPV fights of the decade and could break records.
Is this fight really dreaming or do you believe it’s possible for late next year? All Khan has to do is beat Maidana and Bradley Alexander winner.

I think Cotto would beat Mayweather. If you notice, Cotto can match speed with most of the faster boxers. Pacquiao’s power was just too much for him. He wouldn’t fear Mayweather’s power and would give Mayweather a boxing challenge he would never forget, plus power from Cotto. It would be too much for Mayweather.

Answer me this. If marquez has been pacs toughest opponent to date then why has everyone he fought since not even been on the same skill or style level as marquez? However, if Khan beats Maidana badly and goes on to ko the winner of Bradley-Alexander, Mayweather may also avoid Khan. Mayweather then may opt for a rematch against the old man Moseley then retire.

i think khan is a super exciting boxer. his fighting skills against paulie and his knockout power against salida were tremendously exciting.
