Kevin Mitchell vs Alex Arthur on the cards for Dec 11th

By Joe Mitchell: According to sources Frank Warren is lining up a fight between former World Boxing Organization (WBO) super featherweight champion Alex Arthur and once beaten Kevin Mitchell. This fight would likely take place on December 11th on his 30th anniversary as a promoter. Frank Warren has said this card will be bigger and better than the “Magnificent Seven” which was a great success.
Meanwhile Mitchell just had a devastating loss to big punching Michael Katsidis and will also be looking to get straight back into title contention rather than fighting in a pointless 6 rounder.
This fight will likely be at 135lb lightweight limit and because of the crazy rankings could be classed as an eliminator for a world title. Alex Arthur was a former world champion and Mitchell has challenged for one, so they might still be ranked quite high.

Well hps all i can say is for Kevin Mitchell not training properly for the Katisids fight im sorry to say but its no excuse for Mitchell losing that fight. Katsidis is a beast and Mitchell was probaly destined to lose this fight from the start as Katsidis trained very hard and is a relentless swarmer who just pressures you all the way plus Mitchell has a lack of experience at Katsidis level. Anyway onto the Mitchell Arthur fight this is a step backwards in class for Mitchell and to be honest Arthur looked unimpressive in his last fight and i just think hes done for and i see this as easy win for Mitchell
if the fight continued for another 3 seconds he would’ve gone down…..and probably not got up again!!
but katsidis never put him down
Alex Arthur wasn’t really a world champion, he was given the belt without fighting for it and lost it in his first defence!

i paid good money for ringside seats for the westham fight with Katsidis only for Mitchell to say after the devestating loss that he didnt train properly. wish you had told me that before the fight as i would have sold the ticket. soi dont give a f_-_ for KM anymore. what a let dowm.
