Bernstein to work the Hopkins vs. Pascal fight

Hall of Fame boxing announcer, Al Bernstein, who is celebrating his 30th year as a sportscaster, will join the broadcast team for the Saturday Sept. 25th United Boxing Promotions card at Hershey Centre in Mississauga, Ontario. The matches will be televised on Canada’s Super Channel and working with Al will be Canada’s voice of boxing, Russ Anber.

“Canada has had such a great boxing resurgence in the last decade, and I am thrilled to participate in the boxing scene there, and am especially happy to be working beside Russ at ringside,” Bernstein said. He added, “The sign of a healthy boxing environment is when there are matches on all levels from club shows to major championship fights—and that is what’s been happening in Canada.”

The September 25th main event is an NABA Lightweight title match pitting Buzz Grant against Logan Cotton-McGuinness. Many are calling this one of the most anticipated grudge matches in Ontario boxing history. The undercard, also televised on the Super Channel, is headed up by a showdown of unbeaten welterweight prospects, Samuel Vargas vs. Ryan Wagner.

IN OTHER NEWS:

Al Bernstein will return to Canada for the December 18th pay per view broadcast of the match between World Boxing Council Light Heavyweight Champion Jean Pascal and boxing legend Bernard Hopkins. That fight will be held in Quebec City and Al will be announcing it on Showtime pay per view.

I dont care if this match is gonna be broadcast by Fred Capasella. Pascal is gonna lay a beatin on Stanky Ass. If not, then La Cosa Nostra will explain it to you. I challange any of you to tell who Fred Capasella was. As far as you Bernstien your a real company man. You never call a spade a spade. Your too interested in the Freakin hype of the fight and are never straight with the fans. In other words your a glorified Yes man and have no credibility.
