Pacquiao-Margarito ticket prices from $50 to $700

By Jason Kim: For boxing fans that are interested in traveling to Arlington, Texas to watch the November 13th bout between Manny Pacquiao and Antonio Margarito at the Cowboy Stadium, they got good news because the tickets will go for the same prices as Pacquiao’s recent March 13th fight against the little known Joshua Clottey, which also took place at the Cowboy Stadium. Tickets will go for $50, $100, $200, $300, and $500. You got to figure that the $50 tickets will be way up in the nosebleed section of the stadium where visibility might be poor without a good pair of binoculars.

The reason the tickets are priced so affordable is because the stadium fits 100,000 boxing fans and there’s no way that the Pacquiao-Margarito fight will bring in those kinds of numbers. A fight between Pacquiao and Floyd Mayweather Jr. might if they make the fight soon while boxing fans are still somewhat interested in it, but if they wait too much longer, it’s likely that the interest will die down to the point where it might not do much better than Pacquiao’s fight against Margarito. The Pacquiao vs. Margarito bout will likely be driven by Pacquiao’s Filipino and Margarito’s Hispanic boxing fans. That’s where the huge interest is for this fight.

Those fans will back their fighters regardless. For the rest of the boxing fans, they’re not particularly interested in this fight because of a combination of factors, such as Margarito’s recent hand wrap suspension, his loss to Shane Mosley last year and subsequent poor performance against Roberto Garcia, Pacquiao never having fought at junior middleweight before and Margarito only having fought once at that weight in the past six years. Pacquiao and Margarito will be fighting for the vacant WBC junior middleweight title and will be leaping over a lot of other contenders in the division with much more experience in that weight class than either Margarito or Pacquiao.

Jerry Jones, the owner of the Cowboys football and stadium, will be advertising the Pacquiao vs. Margarito fight on his stadium billboard during the Cowboys football teams home games before November 13th. This should help in selling more tickets and creating more interest for the fight. Also, HBO will be putting together a four-part HBO Pacquiao-Margarito 24/7 to hype the fight and get more people interested in paying the $49.95 to watch the fight on pay per view. Bob Arum, who promotes both Pacquiao and Margarito, will be looking to add to of his star fighters in his Top Rank stable Guillermo Rigondeaux and Kelly Pavlik to the undercard in separate bouts. That could help a little to get fans of Pavlik and Rigondeaux to purchase tickets and buy the fight on PPV.

Thanks for giving your ideas lstied here. The other issue is that when a problem takes place with a computer system motherboard, people today should not consider the risk involving repairing the item themselves for if it is not done correctly it can lead to irreparable damage to the complete laptop. Most commonly it is safe to approach your dealer of a laptop for that repair of that motherboard. They have got technicians who may have an competence in dealing with notebook motherboard issues and can make right prognosis and accomplish repairs.

MARGARITO COULD HAVE KILLED MOSLEY AND COTTO WITH THAT CEMENT-LIKE SUBSTANCE UNDER HIS GLOVES..RE-LICENSING HIM IS A BLACK EYE TO THE SPORT OF BOXING…

  • vdog says:

The rules for filling a vacant title include:

    1) a tournament or elimination process
    2) a direct bout between the #1 and #2 ranked fighters in the division
    3) appoint a champion from a lower or higher division to face the #1 contender in the vacant division
    4) simply recognize as champion the winner of a previous elimination bout.

  • formarkiz says:

damn, those tickets are next to nothing. This is why Floyd sets record gate revenue, and Manny can’t afford to live outside the Phillipines, lol

  • Jackson says:

    @ Andre00

Just watch ballet instead of boxing. Don’t watch MMA either, to violent for you. Hypocrite!

  • Andre00 says:

Floyd gives you 12 rounds of beautiful boxing, full of skills and tech. Rather than wild punches (brawl) for 3 or 4 rounds!! that`s waste of money!! for that i can tune in to UFC or go to a bar!!!

  • MOO says:

Pac fights are always worth it. Ok mabey not clottey, but who could have predicted that a guy getting the biggest fight of his life wouldnt throw a punch all night.

  • torito44 says:

margarito pac man worth it they will be blood

  • MOO says:

You almost never get your moenys worth with floyd he runs all 12 rounds even if he is winning every round doesnt push for a ko. Its worth it for floyd he collects 20 mill and gets a work out.

if you know professional boxing, then i assume that these boxers would know better. then if it kills them to get to the lowest weight classes, why are they doing it? let me answer that for you, coz these guys like the challenge and they believe in themselves that they can do it, or take some chances. unlike other boxers who have so much excuses, who are not up to the challenge and will not take chances, will only fight if it’s a sure win, YOU JACKASS!

    Not*

  • Hijynx says:

I say it’s worth the money to view history in the making and I’m even talking about the bs middle weight title for pacquiao. Witnessing pacquiao beating a cheater to a pulp is worth more than couple hundred clams. I say since boxing commissioners are too sissy to give margarito more tougher penalty, I’m hoping pacquaio can deliver some real punishment.

  • Addrock2210 can't afford PPV says:

Addrock2210, let me educate you and the rest of the ignorant morons on why people buy tickets for the fight…IT’S BECAUSE IT’S LIVE, YOU JACKASS!. even if you watch the damn thing in 100 ft wide screen 3D, people want to see it live, GET IT??!!

  • Addrock2210 says:

Why would you buy seats to this fight with the worlds largest HD TV? Why even go besides saying that you were one of the 100,000 people who came out to to sit in a stadium buy expensive food and drinks all to watch TV. Jerry Jones is going to ruin boxing with this stadium. Get back to Vegas where you can gamble and get a real fight venue.

now going to smiley abnoy, that guy is a real fun destroyer….abnoy and lim should be sent to china so the chinese army could have a live shoot practice. maybe that show will good for at least 1 cent per seat.

  • wasting away in margaritoville says:

Just heard that Manny Pacquiao will be challenging James Toney for his IBA Heavy weight title next year………but Pac will be demanding that Toney come in the fight weighing a career high 250lbs. Toney says he will come in weighing no less than 300lbs.

  • donkey says:

@You Know I’m Right: simple answer, YES!

  • panther says:

@YOU KNOW I’M RIGHT—-(YOU KNOW YOUR WRONG)PAC wasn’t fighting so called catch weights while he was winning 6 titles?? matter of fact COTTO came in at 146 ( so whats a pound??) hatten came in over at 144 !! lets face it MAYWEATHER IS A FRAUD PAC-MAN represents the HOOD MORE THE MAYWEATHER DOSE, in the hood everybody BATTLES EVERYBODY and once the BATTLE is on it’s ALL OUT WAR.. that’s PAC-MAN STYLE WERE’S MAYWEATHER FIGHTS THE OPERSITE WAY –SCARED :) lol

  • roadkill- Pacquiao need rehab says:

im giving the little coward flack for fighting a dude that was ko’d by shane and is now washed up!

  • nissan.350 says:

It’s simple to me, if you don’t want to watch Manny fight…don’t, for those Floyd fans giving Manny flack about fighting a cheater let me remind you that Floyd too fought a known cheater in Shane Mosley who was busted for using steroids.

  • roadkill- Pacquiao need rehab says:

    @Mayweather>pacquiao

I respect your view, and im NOT a pac fan, i just dont see margaritto beating pac, not after that shane mosley beat down bro. check this out. Not too many fighters come back the same after a devestaing beat down like the one shane gave margaritto, just look at cotto, after margaritto beat him down cheating no doubt, but after margaritto beat him down, cotto cannot even find his old self.

  • windy says:

@Mayweather>pacquiao.. i dont agree with fight , dont condone cheaters and think marg should have been banned for life. but not up to me . you should put money on your prodiction if people on here are right that marg. is a washed up has been the bookies will think the same you’ll get good odd’s.. me i think manny willpinch it, against the popular consensus on here there was a reason why people have avoided marg over the years , not because he a cheat but because he was going to be a handful and a hard nights work to beat him,it should be good fight if marg s got his game head on.cotto hit him with everything he had in locker couldnt discorage or stop him smiling as he walked on through.I likemost would pacman v martinez, pacman v mayweather if it happens it happens if not the boxing fan s on both sides will have been robbed of chance to see mayweather fight maybe only boxer to have the answer to the question may asks in ring, mosely wobbled him de la hoya should have beat him but didnt… Will be a belter if/when it happend

  • Mayweather>pacquiao says:

I was there for pacquiao/clottey with $50 tickets and they were fine. Most prople there will be watching the huge screens and not the actual ring anyway. Cowboys Stadium provided a great fight feel, nothing like vegas but still pretty fun experience. Ill be there Nov. 13 only because i wanna witness the biggest upset in recent memory! Margarito by 9th round KO.

  • windy says:

@Failapino Hostage Takers Suck..pacman doesnt go around callin himself p4p no 1, doesnt need to, goldenboy prod. aka ring, and and other ruling bodies say he is,!!! and yes i agree boxers do try to squeeze into lowest devision possible , just so they take a natural size advantage into ring.makin weights not as bad as used to be thats why weigh in the day before now. as for cotto if you think 147 was a struggle and forght on ww limit why notjust fight at jr middle. because squeezin in on limit they think they know they will have a size advantage over a natural ww who is naturaly between 140 to 147. probably by the time cotto climbed into ring 24 hours after weigh in he will have been back up to jr middle weight limit. boxing colmoumist, critic s and comentator s all said before fight cotto would be to stronger for the pacman. cotto s mistake like hatton, diaz before him all of them thought that as well, all got found wanting

  • You Know I'm Right says:

@Donkey, Floyd fights when he is ready to fight. Is he a coward because he doesn’t fight on your time schedule? You little fellas are amazing. You live in a glass house and throw all kinds of stones.

I promise all of you little people, Floyd will fight your little guy. I am certain you won’t like the outcome!

  • JoeDaWg says:

Nice price, I’ll be there for that.

  • Failapino Hostage Takers Suck says:

    Rofl, of course he did.

If you actually followed Cotto’s career and boxing in general, it was a well known fact that Miguel struggled badly with weight issues and making 140 was a life and death process for him.

Cotto didn’t move up to 147 because he wanted to – he had to. He’d outgrown 140.

Roach knew it. Trampler knew it. Arum knew it.

By the time the Phag fight happened, Cotto had fought 8 fights over 3 years at the regular 147 welter limit.

If you know anything about professional boxing, you know these guys KILL themselves to get to the lowest weight classes that they can.

You remember the Castillo & Corrales fights? ‘Nuff said.

  • donkey says:

@bri: True, but Mayweather won’t fight, PLAIN AND SIMPLE!! Yes Mayweather made more, but does he handle his financial responsibilties? Now getting sued for $64k for rent. Dude, even I can pay that amount. Mayweather is a SCARED LITTLE BIATCH now try to hide behide Don King because Golden boy was ready to feed him to the wolves.

  • bri says:

@Yagbaboobles****** arum will make millions off this fight but he would have made way more off a floyd manny fight. floyd made more by himself then the entire manny clottey bout. they got killed with at the door revenue and by ppv revenue. and ill put money on it floyd makes more money off his next fight then this entire event.

  • THE BOSS says:

HAHAHAHAHAHAHHAAH THATS IT 50 TO 700 AHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAH MAYWEATHER FIGHTS 1000 TO 10000 A TICKET THIS FIGHT IS A JOKE

  • windy says:

@Failapino Hostage Takers Suck…punish there body ? what are you on about. cotto weighed in at 146 the fight before pacman i think.. do you realy think that cotto stuggled with a 1 lb? these are professial athletes the weight of half a bag of sugar is not punishing there bodies,it made no difference cotto got out worked, out punched and out classed that is top and bottom of it.

  • Failapino Hostage Takers Suck says:

The catchweight demands have nothing to do with limiting the weight that Phag’s opponents rehydrate to.

It has everything to do with making his opponents punish their bodies in making the lower weight, so that by the time they’ve entered the ring, their bodies have already taken a beating.

You Phagtards know nothing about boxing and obviously have never had to cut weight.

  • ali says:

i can’t wait to see this fight, it’s going to be a non stop action.

  • Yagbaboobles says:

Doesn’t matter how this fight does on PPV. Fact remains, this is nothing but a cash-grab. But, can you fault Arum? Can you fault Pac? It’s an opportunity to make millions. Crooks, you say? bunch of hypocrites. :-) Lots of you will sell your own mother for less. LOL.

  • You Know I'm Right says:

@Panther…6-7 “Bogus” “Catch Weight”, Weight Drained, Dehydrated, “Cheated” titles.

    He holds no leverage WHATSOEVER!!!!

    Joke….Joke….Joke!!!

  • elgato says:

$700 for a fixed fight….lol…$50 is too much to pay for this…

    I will do 700K.

  • kraneberry says:

this fight will not do more than 800 PPV

  • milo says:

I bet 10.000 dls dat this fight will do more than 700.000 any takers?

  • JOKER says:

HAHAHA JASON KIM SAID A fight between Pacquiao and Floyd Mayweather Jr. might if they make the fight soon while boxing fans are still somewhat interested in it, but if they wait too much longer, it’s likely that the interest will die down WHAT A MAYWEATHER LICKER LIKE IF WRITING A ARTICLE IS GOING TO MAKE ARUM SAY WAIT LET ME STOP THE FIGHT AND GO LOOK FOR MAYWEATHER BEFORE THE BOXING FANS LOSE INTEREST JASON KIM,DAVE LAHR,CHRIS WILLIAMS ARE MAYWEATHERS NUT LICKERS

  • panther says:

@ YOU KNOW I’M RIGHT — I GUESS FIGHTING AND WINNG 6 to 7 titles wer all against TOP RANK FIGHTERS ???

  • roadkill- Pacquiao need rehab says:

I for one am not paying to see this farce! this is ridiculous!

  • panther says:

@ YOU KNOW I’M RIGHT — I GUESS FIGHTING AND WINNING THE OTHER 7 TO 6 TITLES WERE ALL AGAINST TOP RANK fighters ??? and there is realy no catch weight, fighters can weigh up to the limit of 147lb PAC is just asking for them to weigh a little less (but still with in the WELTERWEIGHT RANGE ) SO HIS OPPONETS DON’T BLOOM 10 to 15 pounds over which is a very big disadvantage. remember what happend to MARQUEZ vs MAYWEATHER ?????

  • panther says:

MAYWEATHER claims he always wanted to fight MOSLEY in the early 2000′s because he wanted to be known as the best TO to build his so called LEGACY ???

then tell me how come he never wanted to fight TRINIDAD or DE LA HOYA OR VERNON FORREST during that time ?? why did he avoid TSYU and RANDELL BAILEY at JR WELTER ??

HE’S JUST ANOTHER cherry picking punk!!

  • You Know I'm Right says:

@Panther, in the past fighters that called themselves P4P #1, usually fought the best out there. You idol Manny Pacquiao simply refuses to fight anyone outside of the Top Rank Stable of fighters.

Until The Crack Man fights an opponent that is ranked in the top 5, in the Welterweight Division and not require a “Catch Weight” he will be considered a sub par fighter.

Arum, Roach, and POacquiao all know that they cannot compete. They will do everything they can to continue fighting bums waiting on the face off with Mayweather for the “Mother Load” of paydays.

  • panther says:

@THE TRUTH—WHY should PAC give in to random testing ?? is MAYWEATHER willing to fight in a venue were he can’t use those pain killer shots for his hands that are banded in 48 other states ? Anyway PAC already agreed to come down to 14-day cut off period that MAYWEATHER WANTED originaly and the coward still didn’t go for it LOL!! — IN THE glory days of boxing (70′s & 80′s) fighters & fans didn’t cry about PPV numbers they just fought an fans just debated over styles & LEGACY. PPV NUMBERS ARE A COP-OUT for fighters trying to PROTECT thier “O” LOL

  • You Know I'm Right says:

@The Truth, expect 400,000 – 700,000 PPV Buys and Pacquiao makes $13 Million dollars.

    SOUND FAMILIAR?

  • LOL@TS says:

TS forgot the BIG SCREENS. LOL.

  • Matthew says:

chakyun – He’s fighting Margarito because he lost every round before getting stopped by what Pac fans consider to be an old man in Mosley and then looked terrible in his comeback fight against some C- level bum.

Nothing to do with him thinking he needs a second chance, more like the time is right to strike like it was when he fought Cotto.

  • Matthew says:

So they could sell the whole venue out but still wouldn’t bring in as much cash for tickets as Mayweather vs Mosley. lol.

  • the Truth says:

I hope pac can pack the stadium to the rafters and bring in excellent PPV numbers so floyd won’t have any excuse not to accept the 50-50 purse split and fight pac. and pac should finally give into the random drug testing.

  • chakyun says:

And by the way don´t blame Pacquiao for Margaritos fight. He is a boxer who believes that another human being needs a second chance. He tried hard for Mayweathers fight to happen, but Mayweather has other things in his mind. To all fans, be reasonable for once, don´t be judgemental, all of you may need a second chance down the line. It´s karma! Margarito paid already for what he did. Having a year suspension which for others maybe is not enough punishment, but he and his family was humiliated and his legacy is already tainted before even his retirement. That´s more than punishment enough.

  • Jazz The Truth says:

A win win for ordinary boxing fans who could not afford the exorbitant prices at Vegas. Imagine being in a crowd of 70,000 to 100,000 people and yet you feel being inside your own space with the big screen in front of you where you can see the fight blow by blow.

It will be a festive atmosphere plus the Cowboy cheerleaders adding some spice to what would be a fantastic event.

  • chakyun says:

This is why everybody loves cowboy stadium because even you pay $50 or $700, doesn´t matter at all. They have a giant screen where you can see every little details on whatever is happening inside that ring.

  • State of Texas says:

Pacquiao’s going to lose….. Magarito career is on the line.

  • panther says:

i’m a BIG PAC-MAN FAN but i’m not to interested in seeing him beat up on MARGA-CHEATO. I was hoping for him to stand up to BOB ARUM– telling him no and then fight ANDRE BETO or TIMMOTHY BRADLEY first and then take on PAUL WILLIAMS at welterweight in FEB or MAR. PAC should be fighting for LEGACY NOW and not for no promoter. the fight with COWARD MAYWEATHER is not going to happen, because MAYWEATHER don’t want it to happen. too bad it would’ve been a GREAT KNOCKOUT VICTORY for PAC !!!

  • B3ny says:

you dont need binoculers if you all the way up there. They have huge HD projection screens right in front of your face, no matter where you look even if you go to the damn bathroom you can still see the fight. Thats how big the screens are. Cant wait for this fight!
