European Junior Middleweight Title:
Ryan Rhodes (44-4, 30 KO) vs. Lukas Konecny (44-3, 21 KO)

Ryan Rhodes amazing comeback story is looking for new chapters to add. After upsetting the odds and beating Jamie Moore in one of the domestic fights of the year, Rhodes impressively dispatched of Luca Messi in his first defence of the European light-middleweight title. Hoping to finally win a world title, Rhodes must get past challengers such as Konecny who, while being on a roll of 8 straight wins, shouldn’t have enough to take Rhodes title. However, ever the case in Ryan Rhode fights, there is always the chance of an upset. But Rhodes, now 33, is in the form of his life. The punching power was always there, but now he has improved his technique is a much smarted, craftier fighter. Not a lot is known of Konecny in Britain, so we don’t really know what to expect from him. However, the ‘Spice Boy’ can hopefully defend his title, and earn a shot at one of the world champions.

Prediction – Ryan Rhodes

European Cruiserweight Title:
Enzo Maccarinelli (32-4, 25 KO) vs. Alexander Frenkel (22-0, 17 KO)

Enzo Maccarinelli’s off/on career is sadly coming down the home-straight. Although he’s only 29, Maccarinelli has suffered some heavy losses, and many have said he hasn’t looked the same since being knocked out by David Haye. Frenkel on the other hand has yet to taste defeat, and is coming off an dominant 8 round decision victory over Michael Simms. Both men have massive punching power, and it is unlikely that this one will go the distance. Maccarinelli is the former world champion, who has faced some top fighters, but this is a big chance for Frenkel, who has looked impressive. This fight could really go either way, and hopefully the Welsh favourite can retain his European belt (in which he won by knocking out Alexander Kotlobay in the first round).

Prediction – Alexander Frenkel

Super Middleweights British Title Eliminator:
James DeGale (7-0, 5 KO) vs. Carl Dilks (14-2, 5 KO)

James ‘Chunky’ DeGale moves a step closer to a British title should he successfully beat Carl Dilks. If DeGale fights as well has he talks, then we have a future undisputed world champion on our hands. However DeGale does not fight as well as he talks. It’s hard to discuss DeGale because if you criticised him, his fans say it’s because of his cocky attitude. But the case is the man has weaknesses that have not been exploited so far in his short career. DeGale dominated over-matched Sam Horton in his last bout, and yes, he did look good in doing so. DeGale has fast hands and powerful punches. But often neglects his defence and plays around a little too much. A more business like approach is desired if he is ever going to win over the British public, who seem to favour rival George Groves. Dilks is a step up for DeGale as his 2 losses are extreamly controversial. Dilks lost a commonwealth title challenge against Charles Adamu. He also lost in the semi-finals of prizefighter a few years ago in the light-heavyweight division. Dilks has fast hands and more power than his record suggests (as is evident by his stunning knock out over Carl Drake). If we are to believe DeGale he should win this fight fairly comfortably. And on this occasion I am expecting a performance from Chunky.

Prediction – James DeGale
