well after Nov.13th Pacquiao’s horrible PPV numbers will put him in a very bad position in negotiations with Mayweather, because Pacquiao’s star power isnt as good as people think just look at his PPV numbers and compare his to Floyd’s. Mayweather is a very special fighter because he has a great fanbase and he has the people who only watch not to appreciate his skills but to see him lose, people who dont like Pacquiao dont watch him its just that simple

A lot of fans and boxing critics already predicted Mayweather will win over Pacquiao, if the fight happens. But I do believe Mayweather doesn´t agree with that assumption. Mayweather is a man who is pretty much sure of himself. He is a very wise and smart boxer, a businessman in his own right whose excellent in playing mind games. He will never go inside the ring to fight, if he´s not sure he´ll gonna win the fight. His instict and judgement are impecable and everybody can see that based on his record wins. But I´m wondering, why he is so hesitant fighting Pacquiao. It seems to me that something is bothering him and telling that this is a fight he´s not gonna win!

No, what I’m saying is that Pacquiao is refusing to accept random blood testing. What Pacquiao is willing to accept now is same 14-day cut-off that Mayweather offered during the first negotiations, that Pacquiao walked away from. If you remember, during Mayweather’s interview immediately after the Mosley fight, he made it very clear that a fight could be made if Pacquiao agreed to random testing with no cut-off. I’m sure both Arum and Pacquiao,just as the rest us who was watching, heard Mayweather say that. Why Arum and Pacquiao would set a deadling on the 14-day cut-off that the knew was no longer on the table doesn’t make much sense all. Here is the problem with the 14-day cut-off — if you know that testing is not going to take place during the last 14 days, you will be able to cheat and get away with it. What random means is testing could be at anytime, whether its 30 days, 15 days, 5, days before the fight, or even the day of the fight. What random testing does is that it will both fighers honest. If you are an honest fighter, you should have not problem with signing a contract with random testing.

I believe Mayweather’s plan all along is to negotiate a purse split that favors him, whether its 60/40, 55/45, on even 51/49, because of his unbeaten record and better PPV numbers. The thing that’s really preventing this fight is Manny’s refusal of random blood testing at anytime. If Manny ever would agree, you can be assured that Mayweather would be ok with even a 51/49 split on a $100 million dollar fight.

Also my grandfather fought in Golden Gloves. Grew up in a skating rink/club that he owned with a home made ring inside it.

Was in the Jr Olympics for speed skating which endurance wise paid off in boxing that I have been doing and watching for about 16ish years now. I know what it feels like to compete.

I agree with what your saying that and that was just 1 PPV fight that was close where there are a few. Statistically speaking, Mayweather sells more and that is the point and that was the start of the argument I had.

Team Pac really hope the fight with Margarito sells so they can compete with Mayweather’s (slightly) “higher” PPV numbers and revenue. If it doesn’t sell, Pac is in even worse situation where how could he ask for more money when he cant compete or sell MORE than Floyd?
