Lopez stops Concepcion in 2

By Sam Gregory: On the July 10th edition of Showtime’s Championship Boxing from Coliseo Jose Agrelot, Hato Rey, Puerto Rico undefeated southpaw Juan Manuel Lopez 29-0 with 26 KO’s defends his WBO featherweight title against Bernabe Concepcion 28-4-1 in a scheduled 12 round bout in the featherweight division.

Lopez dropped Concepcion early in the first round. Lopez had Concepcion backing up and eventually against the ropes; it appeared Concepcion was in trouble when Concepcion dropped Lopez in the last few seconds of the round.

At the start of round 2 Lopez again dropped Concepcion. Both men traded solid shots until Concepcion was dropped again and this time wasn’t able to continue. Lopez stopped Concepcion at 2:37 of round 2
