Rahman stops Miller

By Jason Kim: Former World Boxing Council (WBC) heavyweight champion Hasim Rahman (47-7-2, 38 KO’s) continued with his two fight comeback with a 4th round TKO win over Shannon Miller (16-5, 9 KO’s) on Saturday night at the Niagara Falls Conference Centre, in Niagara Falls, New York. Rahman, 37, dropped the 36-year-old Miller four times in the fight, once in each round before stopping him in the 4th round. The fight was stopped at 1:37.

Rahman came into the fight looking well off his former prime weight of 240, weighing 260 at the weigh-in for the Miller bout. The added weight probably didn’t help Rahman in the 1st round, as he got rocked by a right hand from Miller. However, Rahman was able to continue fighting back without getting hit with any big again, but it wasn’t a positive sign seeing Rahman getting hurt by a 2nd tier fighter like Miller.
