Ayala vs. Lemieux tonight on ESPN2
MONTREAL, QUEBEC, CANADA (June 11, 2010) Former world title challenger Elvin Ayala returns to action Tonight, June 11th against Montreal fan favorite David Lemieux headlining “Boxing Under the Stars” at the spectacular Uniprix Stadium in Montreal.
The 29 year old Ayala will be the toughest test of rising star Lemieux’s career. “He’s knocked out just about everyone he’s faced, but he’s never been in a real war. His team probably feels that I will be another knockout victim but that is not the case” said Ayala.
“I’m sure they see that I’ve faced Abraham and Mora and would be a great name to add to the win column, but they picked the wrong guy. I’m in terrific shape and ready for battle.”
On March 29, 2008, Ayala faced Arthur Abraham for the IBF Middleweight Title in Germany, battling evenly over twelve rounds before being stopped.
Continued Ayala, “On Friday night, both of us will be happy. I will have won the fight and he will be happy to have the experience he badly needs.”

Ayala had his big mouth shut as well as Teddy Atlas. Lemieux is still under rated, not only does the kid hit harder than Abraham, but also with more speed and precision. It will be difficult to find fair opposition in this weight class, after the first hits, all of them will either fall, or run away.
Martinez is a good guess, he’ll run away very effectively, and it would be fun to see how Lemieux can overcome frustration, and manage to cut the corners. Very unlikely to happen in a near future, anyway.
Well Teddy Atlas was shown a little more than he expected. Now its on to williams or Martinez.
