Audley Harrison to fight David Haye on November 13th?

By Eric Thomas: According to news from the Daily Mail.co.uk, Audley Harrison (27-4, 20 KO’s) and World Boxing Association (WBA) heavyweight champion David Haye (24-1, 22 KO’s) have agreed to an £1million offer to fight the 29-year-old Haye on November 13th of this year. The fight could make as much as £5m with Sky TV on PPV, according to the report. For boxing fans that were hoping that Haye would step up to the plate and fight IBF/WBO heavyweight champion Wladimir Klitschko in a unification bout, this is bad news.
Haye defeated WBA heavyweight champion Nikolay Valuev by a narrow 12 round majority decision last year in November. The thought were that Haye would get his mandatory out of the way against Ruiz and then immediately take on one of the Klitschko brothers. However, it could be that Haye is finding it hard to resist the big money that he would get in a fight against Harrison, a former 2000 Olympic super heavyweight Gold Medalist for Britain. It’s a fight that will be big in the UK, but the rest of the boxing world will likely tune out because Harrison isn’t considered one of the top fighters in the heavyweight division.

haye will chin that harrison hasbeen in 1st 60 secs of round 1 ,audley is THE most inept british deluded boxer in the history of boxing, got stuffed by a taxi driver for gods sake !!

David haye is the best and the world heavyweight champion of the world he is extreamly skilled and fast so what makes people think that harrison will win.
Well, at least we know the thruth. Its not about the money with the K brother negotiations. Haye is taking pennies for this fight when he could have made much, much more on the K brother fight.
I won’t even watch this fight……but i hope Audley gets lucky one more time and knocks david haye TFO!

Haye’s in a totally different league to Audley the gulf in class is enormous Audley isn’t even European class let alone world. Haye will destroy him easily.

Harrison has no chance. He has no skill, no speed, no reflexes, no footwork, no jab. He only has power in his left hand so I give him a punchers chance. Haye will be far too fast and skilled for him. I see Haye moving around and the jab and combos landing all night long. It’ll be similar to the Ruiz fight maybe worse. Audley is gonna take some punishment here, probs a knockout.
This doesn’t make up for the fact I wanted to see Haye-Klitsckho though.
Haye is being really risky doing this fight. Of course his chances of winning are high but at the same time nothing is guaranteed. If he loses it will be detrimental and audley has the world to gain.
Aww man “Was”(kinda still is) a Haye fan but now i think it would be funny to see Audley Knock him out! At the same time i don’t blame him from not fighting a fight he doesn’t have much of a chance at winning. But i am guessing he figures that he would rather win an easy fight and get paid a few million and lose some credability and some fans, than get k’od at the big fight and lose alot of fans and his world dominance dream down the drain. Also i believe that he is waiting for the klitscho’s to reveal some sort of weakness through his opponents; and just hasnt seen any yet. And if he does go through with the audley fight and wins and loses some fans he will eventually get some back when he finally agrees for the klit fight later on
Run David run. Pick the easiest apponents you can and avoid the Klitschkos.
This fight will have no interest outside the U.K.
I think this is a bad misjudgmement of peoples interest. I dont think this fight would make the PPV money thats been predicted. People will pay to watch Haye versus a big name or for another title, but I dont think there are many out there who will pay £15 to watch Oddly Harrison fight, I know I wont!
Fighting Oddly Harrison instead of a Klitschko is just like the Hayewire. His stratagem from the very beginning was to get a foot in the heavyweight door and then eventually milk a title knowing full well that the day he steps in to a ring with a Klitschko is the day his title belt will become property of Klitschko & Co.
The Hayewire is cunning but his willingness to fight a Klitschko for good reason, is not evident or to be expected any time soon instead we will witness more risk less bouts against the old and or the lame.
a pure load of bollox…. how can haye get away with this, plus harrison is not even in the top 10. that is just a joke, anywonder boxing is losing fans to the ufc.. with joke fights like this being made for money…and thats all haye gets not respect for winning this fight, and if he gets ko’d he is just to be laught at.. The two of them couldnt fight sleep…

Its this sort of match making garbage that is killing boxing,the Governing body’s are a joke,Hayes said he wanted to clean up the heavy weight division!!he’s turning out to be another money grabbing cherry picking fraud!!todays boxing is a f**king farce.
I have been right so far with my predictions. I had said that Haye would either go for a big pay day against the Klitschko brothers or he would bide his time and fight lesser opponents. Then, when it nearly time for Haye to retire, he will then challenge either Wladimir or Vitali. Haye probably thinks that the Klitschko’s will be older by that time. Haye and Booth will assume that the Klitschko’s will be more vulnerable as they get older.
I will say it again. If and when Haye decides to fight the Klitschko’s, he will fight easier opponents before that fight so that he can hold on to his WBA belt. He would not dare fight dnagerous punchers such as Solis,Peter,Briggs,Tua,Boytsov etc before he fights the K brothers.
I bet sky will charge 15 pound to watch this farce.No no l would rather watch Emmerdale

the difference with haye is he has yet to fight a decent fighter…he is losing crediblity with each outing..he and his fans will turn into a joke if this goes thru with this and no fighter will have to fight him or give him any money…as he will have destroyed his image world-wide…vladimir has fought 9-10 of his last 10 fights against top 10 fighters (ring)…haye has barely beaten 1 fighter, ranked 8, and has not gotten in the ring with another contender…as ruiz had a losing record over the last couple of years and far over the hill…and not even ranked in the top 30 in the world…if he for instance had the guts to fight solis and win…his fight against vladimir would pull in 30-40 million apiece…but with each bum he fights, that marketibility goes down and money is lost…i wouldnt pay to see him at this point… (why doesnt haye want revenge against solis, that defeat would drive most men crazy)…it cost him a fortune
dear joe…louis had the bum of the month because he beat all the contenders…he fought everyone from 1 through 10…now to begin with i dont believe haye will stoop this low…after all he hasnt fought a legitimate fighter yet…all old, overthehill, just like audley…but if he does, only the silliest, nut-hugging idiot can defend it…

Haye is a bad businessman. He could have get ~30 M for 1 fight with one K according to Steward. And maybe more for another with his brother. But he decided to pick 3-5M instead and then having a risk to beeing beaten by mandatory Chagaev (who is not bad BTW). The only one who might win in this is booth
Boxing is a business so Haye is entitled to making good money for little risk. Joe Louis had his bum of the month and Muhammad Ali had inept fighters (at world level) like Richard Dunn,Brian London and Jean-Piere Coopman. Haye-Harrison will probably be interesting for a few rounds and the run-up to the fight will be very entertaining.
LMFAO! So he knew that Chagaev or Klitschko would knock him out next, so he’s gone for the easy route! The problem here is that Harrison wants revenge from Haye, since haye insulted his friendship! Also Harrison is a dangerous fighter at this paticular time, because he know this will be his last chance to become Heavyweight World Champion!
Haye is now in a position where he is struggling to find a easy chess move!
