Pacquiao to fight for a final time in November – News

By Chris Williams: World Boxing Organization welterweight champion Manny Pacquiao will fight for a final time in November against either Floyd Mayweather Jr., the winner of the Yuri Foreman vs. Miguel Cotto fight or against Antonio Margarito. The 31-year-old Pacquiao has received permission from his mother to fight one more time and then retire and then focus on his political career as a congressman in the Philippines. Pacquiao said to ABS-CBN “So many fans want me to fight Mayweather, so I asked my mother to allow me to fight one more time, and she said ‘Ok.’ My mother agreed.”

Unfortunately, Mayweather isn’t apparently all that interested in fighting Pacquiao now after having made a huge bundle of money in his last fight against Shane Mosley on May 1st. Mayweather, 33, made more than $40 million in that fight, which rang up an impressive 1.4 million pay-per-view buys – double the amount of Pacquiao’s last fight against Joshua Clottey on March 13th. While Pacquiao, his promoter Bob Arum of Top Rank and trainer Freddie Roach now really want the Mayweather bout to happen, Mayweather isn’t showing much interest. Part of the problem is that there haven’t been any positive signs that Pacquiao will agree to take the Olympic style random blood tests that Mayweather wants.

Pacquiao wants limited blood testing, which doesn’t fall into the category of random testing that Mayweather wants. Last time they negotiated, Pacquiao and his team asked for the testing to be stopped at 24 days before the fight. Mayweather wanted 14 days. At this point, Pacquiao and his team walked away and settled for Top Rank fighter Clottey, which drew only 700,000 PPV buys at a half filled Cowboy Stadium in Arlington, Texas. In hindsight, it was probably a bad decision on Pacquiao’s team to not negotiate further with Mayweather to make the fight happen at that moment, because now Mayweather’s position appears to be a lot stronger because of his better numbers in the Mosley fight.

Pacquiao’s adviser Michael Koncz says “If Mayweather wants to fight Manny, then no problem, provided he doesn’t try to bully us into terms and conditions.” That sounds well and good, but the problem is the power seems to have been shifted to Mayweather’s court with his better win and better numbers against Mosley. Pacquiao, if he really wants to fight Mayweather before retiring, will likely have to give him what he wants in terms of the blood testing or else Pacquiao will have to settle for fighting one of his fellow Top Rank fighters Margarito, Cotto or Foreman in his last fight. If I was to guess what will happen, I’d say Pacquiao ends up not giving in on the blood testing and ends his career against one of those fighters rather than Mayweather or someone like Andre Berto.

One last fight for the marter cherrypicker!

I can’t wait to NOT hear anything else about this overrated bum, for his last fight I hope he does get his chance against money maybigmouth and gets himself an ar$e whooping.

Now i’m gonna go ask my mum if i can go to the movies (i hope i do get permission)…

  • Bernard says:

Realy hope Manny and Mayweather can get it, on so once and for all the speculation of who is best can be resolved ammicably in a boxing ring

  • House of Congress says:

    HEY HEY HEY

The Pacman is now member of the House of Congress. Have respect!
Any proposition in anybody’s behalf should be transmitted to him in hard copy, i.e. in Official Communication and Transmittal with your intentions thereof.

Remember, he’s now a legislator, Honorable Emmanuel Dapidran Pacquiao.
    AND NO TRASH TALKING !!!

  • R J Hill says:

I believe that. Now that he has been exposed to steroid use, and has big bucks. He needs no grand hurah. He already proved his talent.

  • preston says:

Ash- Oscar’s official weigh in was 145lbs for the Paquiao fight. This was Pac’s first fight in the WW division. Oscar’s last fight as a WW was in 2001, prior to his fight with Pac in Dec. 2008 as Oscar’s body was becomming more and more suited to perform in the middleweight division at around 155 to 160 lbs…………so, what is not factual about what I said?

  • the Professor says:

Pacman i hope u face the real P4P king in the Welterweight class and thats Money Mayweather the cash cow now. Like Money say’ Lets get it on.

  • char says:

jeez!.. people always saying pac fought DEHYDRATED DLH!.. YES! thats a fact!.. but its not pac’s fault!.. its dela hoya who challenge pac, dela hoya accepted the weight limit!.. dela hoya said he will take the fight personally, for revenge (contract issue bet. GBP/Toprank). he thought he can defeat pac, but he was wrong!

  • Solini says:

My guess is if Foreman beats Cotto, he’ll fight him, since Foreman doesn’t really have much power and also it gives Manny a shot at winning another title in a different weight class, fighting Margarito makes absolutely no sense as nothings gained from it. It’s either Mayweather or the winner of Cotto-Foreman

  • Sabembe Mawatu says:

Gloves selection, fight date, excess over the weight limit are within the professional boxing and commission jurisdictions. Was there catchweight during Pacquiao-Mayweather nego? I guess not. Anyway, all the above are being practiced long before Pacquiao and has been accepted by the world boxing and the commission. But USDA protocal is unusual and it is out of the jurisdiction so it is not obligatory. However, it is a good instrument for an excuse to avoid a fight.

  • Sabembe Mawatu says:

My fellow African blood Mayweather, please stop showing as if you are scared of small guy. Ahh!! Don’t be an elephant in the jungle afraid of a little mouse because even if he is juiced you can easilly smash him. You said its an easy win so don’t contradict your stance, stop hiding behind USDA protocol. Today you are being hailed for beating Mosley, but sooner you will find opponents in an empty air. Your excuses are obvious and shallow.

  • @ ash says:

De la Hoya weighed 145 lbs the day before the weigh in. That fight in fact was a catch weight at the welterweight limit, son.
And about the catchweights, yeah, boxing fans do care, you idiot.

  • Stevie Ashley says:

The only way this negotiation goes to fruition is for Schaefer and Dela Hoya out of the way. Ellerbe is a respectable promoter. He and associates within Mayweather Promotion can strike a deal with Top Rank in a win-win situation. The thing with Schaefer is, he would push for Las Vegas venue coz he receives under the table, casino operation percentages from Vegas group at the back of Arum and the boxers. What a selfish capitalist!
Remove Golden Boy Promotion! Mayweather and Top Rank Promotions will bring the game to the people and the viewing public, and not just for the elites, for an unprecedented record of boxing audience @120,000 at Cowboys Stadium.

  • Janti says:

Let Pacquiao fight Roach or Arum and see how much theyll get.Mayweather is not going to waist his time on C grade fighter trainer and promoter who wants to make money out of him

Manny’s mom said it’s OK? Well I guess it’s all settled then.

Wait, did Floyd ask his mom yet?

What are they planning, a sleep over?

@ all mayweather fans, just remenber MANNY PACQUIAO is the only boxer in the world who have seven title so he will be remenber as one of the great in boxing period!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • JesusJones says:

    Schaefer as quoted

“Is it the fight everyone would like to see? Yeah, it is,” Schaefer said. “But everyone would like to see as well LeBron James against Kobe Bryant in the NBA finals, or Federer against Nadal in the Wimbledon final, or now that World Cup soccer is coming up, the Brazilians against the Italians in the World Cup soccer final.

“Does it always happen? No, it doesn’t. But I don’t think the success of one event is really the beginning or the end of a sport.”

NOT THE SHARPEST TOOL IN THE SHED. KIND OF REMINDS ME OF THAT ONE CAT WHO USED JORDAN FOR HIS ANALOGY.

SOMEONE REMIND THIS ROCK THAT THOSE SPORTS THAT HE MENTIONED HAVE NO CHOICE BUT TO FACE EACH IF THEY MAKE IT TO THE TOP OF THE BRACKET. MAYWEATHER AND PACQUIAO ARE BOTH ON TOP AND SHOULD FACE EACH OTHER BUT THE IRONY IS THAT THE COMMISSION HAS NO SAY IN IT. KIND OF LIKE THE BLOOD TESTING ISSUE.

PACQUIAO AND MAYWEATHER IS DICTATED BY NEGOTIATION NOT BY THE GOLDEN RULES OF THE OTHER SPORT SCHAEFER HAD MENTIONED.

    WHAT A PIECE OF ROCK….

  • WOW says:

    @Kray

“Hell…if he just does the OSDT and goes in there and performs, at the level we’ve seen in his last 4 fights, he has my respect.”

Thats exactly what I want to see. I don’t think he’ll win, but if he even does close to what he’s been doing I give him all the respect in the world… sad thing is I don’t see the fight happening… And if it does, I see an excuse flying from everyone’s lips that the blood test made Manny weak and that’s why he couldn’t perform at his usual level. I mean look at what the blood tests did to Shane…. I mean its not like EVERY other opponent of Floyd looked lost in the ring…. Excuses will fly, if the fight ever happens.

  • kray says:

It seems like we are always hearing about how much Manny wants to fight Mayweather, his mother gave him permission, it will not affect his political affairs, etc. But, then we hear the decision makers in Manny’s camp, it’s always the same thing. “We will not let Mayweather bully us”, in the negotiations. “Mayweather is not the Commission”! “Mayweather is a racist”. “Winner take ALL!”

Oh, so it’s ok to bully Hatton, Cotto, and, probably, Clottey. Because, NONE of them had a chance in those negotiations (and two of them for what they felt was a fair share of the purse (Hatton) or a fair deal, where his Championship was concerned (Cotto)). It was either Manny’s way or the highway.

They tried the same with Mayweather, too, until that test came into the picture. Then they just fought it tooth and nail, trying to have that their way too. Finally, they walked away, when they saw that wasn’t going to happen.

The money is not the biggest issue. It’s that line that Mayweather has drawn with the OSDT, that Manny doesn’t seem to want to cross.

Tell me a fighter who wants his last fight to be a losing one? He has a much higher chance of going out as a winner, against the winner of Foreman v Cotto, or against Margarito. Mayweather will prove to be a nightmare for him, in and out of the ring. And his chances of winning are much slimmer, against that type of fighter. JMM has aleady proven that…twice. Erik Morales has proven that once, by, as he said, studying what JMM did to Manny in their first fight. Precision counter-punching and defensive mindedness is CLEARLY something Manny struggles, mightily with. It’s the thinking aspect, of the game, he’s proven to be weakest at.

If he does the ODST, and wins against Mayweather, I, for one, will sing his praise ’till my dying day. Hell…if he just does the OSDT and goes in there and performs, at the level we’ve seen in his last 4 fights, he has my respect.

    Ash-
Fact- Manny Pacquiao fought ODH at a weight drained 145lbs…..a weight that Oscar had not seen in almsot 10 years, and in a division that Oscar hadnt fought at in 9 years.

Fact- Manny is now saying that he will not fight Floyd with the random test b/c Floyd is bigger than him, but Manny had no problems fighting the naturally bigger Joshua Clottey who has entered fights multiple times over the ww limit of 147

Fact-Manny trainer refused to negotiate a fight with Shane Mosely because he “was too good”, even after Shane was agreeable to fight Manny at a catchweight of 143lbs.

Fact- Sugar Ray Leonard and Bernard Hopkins are ATG fighters……..Manny Pacquiao is not.

Unless you’re a huge Mayweather fan, Pacquiao is better known in the world. I say that because I travel for business and I see Pacquiao in different countries. Mayweather is only big in the US right now. I truly feel that Mayweather needs Pacquiao to gain the world p4p, not just the US fans. After these two retire for good, Pacquiao will be remembered more. it doesn’t matter if Mayweather has 0 losses. It didn’t affect the great memories of great fighters such as Ali, Sugar Ray, Tyson, etc…

  • ali says:

floyd is afraid of little pacquiao.

  • LuvBoxing says:

Come on now Manny, this drama is getting ridiculous. Do we really need to know that his mom has agreed to fight one more time? Like he wasn’t going to fight again.

Anyone who claims that Manny is a bigger draw than Floyd is an idiot and not objective. Floyd has proven over and over that he is the bigger draw. Now, how much bigger is a fair argument but the fact that he IS the biggest draw is not an argument.

Top Rank needs to get their act together and let Manny go out (if he actually retires) with the biggest fight in two decades. Win or lose he will come out just fine. Losing to Mayweather will not tarnish his legacy, however if he wins then he is shot up to a Top 5 all-time fighter. It is worth the risk and if blood tests is what it takes then they need to take them.

Say what you want but I enjoyed boxing a lot more when Drama Boy Mayweather was retired and everything ran so much smoother, now we have to sit here and argue back and forth about some Bull$hit drug tests and who´s ducking who and whose using crack and blah blah blah. any chance Floyd can just retire again very soon?

  • lex_fugitive says:

Pac and his team have blatantly lied numerous times as to why they won’t take random blood tests. Mayweather has said he suspects Manny of using PEDs and wants to ensure a level playing field from day one. Manny insisted he would be too weak to fight Floyd if he gave blood less than 24 days before the fight, but then SCHEDULED to have 10 times the amount of blood drawn for a PED test just 20 days before fighting Clottey. Yep, it couldn’t be more obvious Floyd is scared to death of Pac. Manny just wanted to fight Floyd the whole time! Sure he can’t give blood less than 24 days before a fight with Mayweather, but everyone knows that having blood drawn has different effects depending on who’s one opponent is. Manny could have had all the blood tests done two months before fighting Clottey but instead waited until less than three weeks before his fight. When just two months prior he was crying about how he would be too weak if he gave blood that close to a fight! Run, Manny Run!

THANK YOU for having knowledge about the sport! I really wish people would learn about the sport and stop repeating what they have heard from the media that is designed to stir up controversy like this. People dont even know the weight class lbs allowable let alone who fought who for a belt and when.

  • SCOTT1 says:

if the mayweather fight doesnt come off i guarantee you he will fight the winner of cotto/foreman.the chance to get a world title in anothe rdivision and another one up on fraud

  • Dee says:

    @PongiiPongii>>>>>>

Please learn what a guaranteed contract is>>> many many athletes and entertainers have things guaranteed in their contract. A lot of actors are GUARANTEED a certain amount per film whether the movie is a flop or not. Many athletes are granted the same thing! and the pay perview numbers are most accurate. I suggest you go take a marketing class and learn supply and demand. It is not always beneficial to sell more of a product, if you can charge a little bit more and get the same result- or even higher payday… this is what happens with the price of gas and airline tickets.

    —- Its really basic marketing——

  • LloydYdeana says:

It’s a funny thing that Floyd is still pushing for this Olympic Style Random Blood Testing against Pacquiao. The thing is, I think Floyd is really scared of the Pacman, plain and simple. Let’s evaluate things in a rational manner:

First: What are the enhancement drugs that Mayweather is talking about, for heavens sake, that can’t be detected by unlimited urine tests and blood test 24 days before the fight and blood test again immediately after the fight? If there exists any medical bulletin on these kinds of substances, as accepted by the medical and scientific community based on empirical and scientific results, then by all means Floyd has a case. But sad to say, his accusations were based from perceptions, opinions and assumptions with poor validity and credibility.

Second: If Floyd is sincere in cleaning the sport, he should present his case and advocate change with the governing body, the Athletic or Boxing Commissions. They are the entity in charge on safety of boxers. They are very good at it so far. It’s the prevailing system and rule of procedures. Why the need to go above it?

Third: Pacquiao is the P4P King and a Welterweight belt holder. Floyd is just second and still has to prove his credibility as P4P contender. He must prove his mettle against a very tough opponent like Pacquiao and not on wins against boxers who were either bloated, cherry-picked and over-the-hill fighters.

Fourth: Why does he have to impose that random blood test to Pacquiao when in fact, he knows that intrusive blood extraction has a psychological and physical effect on Manny? Isn’t it pretty obvious, Floyd is trying to gain a psychological edge off the ring?

Fifth: Why just now, vis-a-vis cleaning the sport? Why didnt he impose this random thingy to his previous opponents prior to that failed negotiation last January ? Isn’t it quite dubious that this OSRBT is just a ticket out of the negotiation and that Floyd is really scared and afraid of facing Pacquiao inside the ring?

Sixth: Why the call for random blood test when Pacquiao had been clean all throughout his fights and never been tested positive? In fact, he had never seen what performance drugs looked like?

These are relevant arguments disputing Floyd’s credibility on his imposition of random blood testing before facing Pacquiao. Pls enough of leveraged and psych-edge negotiations and stances. Floyd just face Pacquiao under the commission’s rule. Pacquiao got nothing to hide and had been proven for several times. Now prove yourself, Floyd Mayweather.

  • Zippy says:

    @Floyd

Sounds a tad fishy to me. The other 40 guys you fought including Oscar who made $52 million didn´t take Olympic style drug testing and you weren´t requiring it then so why now and why not then, scared of little Manny and Bobby Pacquiao? Better get his mom tested while we´re at it, wouldn´t want Floyd getting beat by a juiced up grandman either. Sounds like a confident Floyd to me…

  • liesensor says:

    NO TEST, NO FIGHT.
Yup, Floyd is still so scared of Manny.
    Floyd has already ducked Manny.
HERE ARE SOME ISSUES TO TACKLE IN THE NEGOTIATION.
Floyd wants a bigger purse than Manny – I know Floyd is avoiding to fight Manny and come up this excuse – Facts, Manny is the bigger draw than Floyd.
Floyd is still bragging and pretending that he’s the king of boxing and wants to rule everything in the negotiation – the true king Manny is silent but firm.
Floyd still want to weaken and distract Manny, who doesn’t like his campaign needles for random blood testing – Manny will only abide the authorized commission whereever he fights in.
Floyd wants to dictate – Manny wouldn’t allow him.
    WHO’S EAGER TO FIGHT?
Manny is still so eager to fight to please his fans.
WHO’S SCARED AND RELUCTANT TO FIGHT?
Floyd is still demanding that BS random excuse, wants a bigger purse, and so impossible to negotiate – he’s freakin’ out to face Manny in the ring but he needs Manny so bad for his biggest payday ever.

It’s getting so personal between these 2 rivals and Manny could demolished this coward once and for all.

I HOPE THIS FIGHT WILL HAPPEN!

  • Ric says:

Hey Everybody, Lets get back when Mayweather retired over 2 years ago when he was the P4P best.
Pacquiao rise and become the P4P best boxer after Mayweather retired.
Mayweather decided to come back to regain the P4P best boxer and wanted to fight Pacquiao.
Now we see all this BS. My question is:
If Mayweather really wanted to fight Pacquiao then just fight and forget about the accusations and drugs etc. Just do it with the Nevada testing procedures. PERIOD.

  • Floyd Mayweather says:

For sure I would require Bobby to be tested. No free rides need apply. I run 3 miles a night when not training and 8 miles a night when training. I don’t want to give a chance to a juicer who get injected and sits on a couch. Why should someone like that get rewarded with a big payday.

  • Zippy says:

    @Floyd Mayweather

Are you going to demand testing for Bobby Pacquiao also? Since he poses even less of a threat than Manny (you´ve already called Manny one dimensional and an easy fight) and you can easily kill bobby pacquiao you should test him also, just in case he´s not juicing, that would be the logical thing to do, right?

  • Floyd Mayweather says:

I want to fight Bobby Pacquiao. I am sure he has the guts to fight me…lol..then the little brother will come for revenge…

  • erikson says:

hey, open your eyes kevin… Mayweather dont want to loose thats why he dont like to fight a fighter like manny. Marquez? He already loose in manny’s bare hands. Why manny choose joshua? Because he is looking for a better fighter, that can match with his ability… but everybody is no much with manny’s speed and power. If mayweather wants to proove himself, go and figth manny… Drugtest is effective after the fight.

  • vdog says:

Is this Arum’s idea of negotiating??? First lie about the negotiations & then choose a location before you even have a sit down? And in Texas where there is no testing? One can safely assume that Pac indeed really wants no part of Mayweather and that he’ll end up fighting Margacheato instead. How fitting. They can call it Plaster of paris vs PED’s.

  • Floyd Mayweather says:

“All I say is, kings is kings, and you got to make allowances.” I fight for money….

  • Dubb C says:

Manny will make more $ in LV. Texas taxes!!! 52 % off top!! Drop bob arum asap!!!

  • Tre' says:

Most of you people who leave comments on here seems to think you know everything about the negotiations! Why would one fighter give in to another fighter’s demands just cause? Everyone knows Floyd has no intentions on cleaning up the sport of boxing. When negotiating, you always look out for yourself first. Why do you people keep saying ” Manny just need to take the test”? Why can’t Floyd just agree to meet halfway? The blame can be put on both fighters! If an agreement cannot be reached, the best thing to do is to meet halfway!

  • BNB says:

Top Ten reasons Manny won’t fight.

10.His mother told him not to

6.He doesn’t want to give Floyd a chance to get a win against him

4.Manny can fight a Roach and still make huge money
3.Bobby Pacquiao wants to fight him next.
2.He’s afraid of being exposed by USADA.
1.He wants the big payday, but doesn’t think he can beat Floyd.

  • bo-knows says:

People dont believe the hype. This is just a ploy to try to force Mayweather’s hand, but there no need take the test and we have a fight! Roach and that blood sucking Arum will not let him retire without making the biggest payday of their lives!

  • mombo says:

i’m not buying all this bluster. (this is just lawyers digging in -trying to get the best deal for their side; take it all with a grain of salt) let the negotiating begin! ring the bell!

  • Shadow says:

    @ Bullfrog5

David Diaz? Dehydrated Oscar? Overrated and shot Hatton? Broken Cotto? Class B Clottey? All good claims but you are forgetting his biggest opponents, Barrera, Morales and Marquez in his prime (who he has been dodging ever since).

You can say the same about Mayweather though. Unstable and shot Judah? Baldomir? Old Oscar de la Hoya who had only fought once in 3 years? Overrated Hatton? A blown up and small Marquez? A past his prime and old Mosley?

Both of these guys could possibly be overrated. And you ask who cares if the fight doesn’t happen?

If the fight doesn’t happen then both Mayweather and Pacquiao will not be considered as great in the long run as people are claiming now. Plus just about every fan wants to see it.

Plus both fighters want to be considered as the true pound for pound king. That won’t happen if they don’t fight. Then they might as well retire now and give the pound for pound king title to Marquez.

  • Zippy says:

I seriously hope Manny keeps fighting, he is the most exciting fighter in boxing at the moment and I´m not talking about PPV numbers or how much money he brings in, I´m talking about pure excitement and entertainment, nobody puts on a fight like Manny right now and if he´s gone after this year we are looking at some pretty dismal matchups.

  • armthelandless says:

first of all congrats to congressman manny, i hope he remains true to his politial agenda and not become corrupted like most politicians. i am proud of him even though i am not filipino!
i think all this talk is just posturing on both sides. manny’s team is claiming that his next will be his final fight, and will be in texas. mayweather is saying that he will only fight opposition with random testing. well, these just a few of the leverage points the camps will use against eachother. pacquiao will give in to the testing and mayweather will give in to the location of the venue. it would truly be a shame to see that lowlife cheater mararito get a shot at pac. just imagine all the other honest fighters out there that deserve a big money fight and a shot at fighting one of the alltime greats, only to see a sorryass cheater get it simply because bob arum wants to make more money. it would be a disgrace to boxing!!
mayweather on the other hand has martinez waiting in the wings… now that would be a fight worth watching.

  • mixi says:

I don’t really care if this fight happens. I think for the most part Pacman is to blame. He would make so much money and if he wins he will be in the top 10 ATG. I think there are only 2 reasons as to why he won’t take the fight.

1.He doesn’t believe he can win.
2.He won’t with the help of HGH or EPO or an maybe another advanced steroids, and taking the USADA tests would expose him.

In spite of his success in politics as the Congressman for Sarangani province, the brave fighter PacMan is still so eager to fight Floyd Jr. to please his fans. I wouldn’t be suprised, it’s gonna be another pugnacious negotiation ahead against the scared reluctant fighter to face a competition against PacMan in the fight ring.

Here are the factors that would ruin the negotiation again and blame it on Floyd Jr.:
    1) There is a perception among observers that Mayweather may seek a higher split of the purse and revenue against Pacquiao.
    2) They seem to think that he had a spectacular win over Shane. (He had a win, it was a decent win, but it was not spectacular at all – no knock down, no TKO, and no KO. against old woozy Shane.)
    3) Now there’s been rumors, or statements attributed to Mayweather and whether they’re true or not, – Saying that they deserve the lion’s share. (Whattajoke he’s not the king but PacMan is.)
    4) PacMan will only abide the authorized commission not USADA. PacMan position remains the same and he’ll fight anybody anywhere as pursuant to the rules and regulations of the specific commission of the state that he fights in.
    5) They don’t want to yield or grant any Floyd Jr’s BS demand, especially on that random blood testing by USADA.

According to PacMan’s adviser, Koncz. If they come to the negotiation table with that mindset, the door will close before it opens all the way. If Mayweather-Pacquiao doesn’t happen, both fighters are likely to consider their next-best options.

It looks like those overstated 22.5 million guaranteed purse, 1.4 million PPV buys, and 40 million blah..blah..blah.. didn’t work to obtain advantages as a powerful leverage on the bargaining table. However, it gave a dramatic effect stage business of Floyd Jr. and GBP but nobody is buying it. LMAO!

mayweather like him or not is right about random blood and drug tests in boxing because it’s different to other sports your health and life is on the line mayweather accepted pacquiao’s demands the 8oz gloves 50/50 purse split even though floyd is the bigger draw $10million dollar 1pound overweight penalty but pacquiao can’t accept a test which mayweather is going to take as well for a $40million dollar fight only people who do that are people who got something to hide take the test poochiao

  • Curt20 says:

@ Kevin plus if marg pull the upset its still all good because he’s a top rank fighter and Arum can go on without pacquiao and make money off the man that beat him.. if Floyd beats manny it will cripple top rank but if another top rank fighter beats manny its still good business for top rank

Team Pac is getting a taste of their own medicine, and they find it bitter. They have been imposing catch-weight and/or cherry-picking for a long time. Pac at 130 and below was awesome, after that — David Diaz? Dehydrated Oscar? Overrated and shot Hatton? Broken Cotto? Class B Clottey? Manny has nothing to show but his fame borne of blind idolatry from thousands of Pactards.

Who cares if the fight doesn’t happen. The world knows Pac refused to be tested, “maybe” he is hiding something. But, you know, sometimes just being suspected of something is almost as bad as being found guilty.

    I guess I will my mother to take a dump too…lol..or to have s3x..with my girls…or to eat..or to get a job…

Manny is clearly not his own man. I these crooks that surround him take must of his money…and he must fight to paid his bills.

I will say this how is it that is so unfair to take random tests when both fighters will be tested. USADA would be where Manny trains.

Floyd who is clearly the bigger draw in the US (where the PPV money is) was willing to split the PPVs purse evenly. Manny was allow to pick any gloves size his wanted, and Floyd would paid 10M if over the welter weight limit. Floyd gave in to the money and the gloves size, and the weight penalty for 10M.

Manny could be more popular worldwide, and even president of the Pinoys populations by Floyd generate more PPVs, yet he was will to share the money and split it evenly.

Floyd gave in to Manny demands and then he ask for both of them to be tested and Manny refuses.

Do you know why Top Rank wants the fight in Texas? b/c in Vegas ring size is 20 by 20 and the fighters have no say. In Texas Manny could request a smaller ring.

If Manny’s retirement is really true, i say this – if Mayweather will not step up and fight Pac Man, then he is a MORON ! many people will stop watching boxing, as this is the last stand that this sport has….

  • Reward says:

Hey pacquiao will fight mayweather. It must happen. Booo to boxing sport if this will not happen. Drug testing? That’s nonsense. Test or not, they should fight.

  • kevin says:

@curt20 you damn right…. arum tryna keep the money all in one circle… and match manny up against a sure win… he wont put him in against a good moving boxer… only against traders

  • Curt20 says:

I bet anything the last fight is against margarito..

  • kevin says:

funny how koncz says “as long as he doesnt try to bully us on terms” when pac picked glove size, fight date, catchweight, and overweight penalty…. dude he cant have everything his way… take the test already, manny wont do it cuz he doesnt wanna fight a boxer he wants a brawler like all his handpicked fighters coming off loses… you saw what a counter puncher like marquez did to him imagin the much faster, powerful, accurate and smarter counter puncher like mayweather will do. pacs too inaccurate he missed 900 punches agaist a stationary josh clottey… you think he misses the heavy bag that much? and another thing pac isnt the P4P king… you cant be a P4P king when you only fight at catchweights especially when you pick them ALL… OPEN YOUR EYES PEOPLE!
