Photo credit: Jan Sanders/Goossen Tutor Promotions – By Jason Kim: Heavyweight contender Chris Arreola (28-1, 25 KO’s) weighed in at a hefty 250 for his bout this Saturday against former light heavyweight and cruiserweight champion Tomasz Adamek (40-1, 27 KO’s) at the Citizens Business Bank Arena, in Ontario, California. Adamek, weighed in at a slender 217, three pounds lighter than his last fight at 220 against Jason Estrada in February. Adamek had talked about coming in heavier for this fight, but seems to have chosen instead to be lighter to give him more speed to move against the heavier Arreola.
Arreola will still have a 33 pound weight advantage over Adamek, which should be plenty enough to overpower Adamek if he can catch up to the Polish heavyweight. Ideally, Arreola shouldn’t try to chase Adamek around the ring all night long because that’s not something that will favor Arreola. Adamek does well when he has an opponent chasing him. This allows him to pick them off on the move. Arreola instead needs to stay patient, use his jab a lot and throw shots when Adamek comes in trying to land his combinations. Adamek likes to slug a little and he’ll be there for Arreola enough so that he’ll be able to test his chin.

we do hate cowards and liars….cheats and scam artists…haye talks the talk but wont walk the walk…thats not acceptable in the usa, only in england, ali never faked injuries and fought the best…always giving 100 percent….povetkin is not garbage by the way, he was the superheavyweight champion, something haye didnt accomplish and fast eddie did beat him to the punch until he got tired,,,beat him easily…but he since has gotten his weight down from 230-35 to 205 and did it without the steroids david so apparently indulged in…by the way, when is david going to avenge his loss to solis…coward is the word we use in good old america
Arreola is a fat tub of …little py cried after the Ukranian monster beat his Mexican As. Adamek will easily poke that fat-s with his jab for the first 5/6 rounds taking the zipp of Arreola’s punches. The big Mexican will tier quickly and Adamek will start running rings around him, landing big combinations; like he did against Banks. He will not knock him out, he hasnt got the knockout power but it will be an good margin points victory.

@Iloo….Wrong again my friend, we do not hate the Brits, we are actually brothers, I can only speak for myself, I don’t like garbage talk from anyone, I don’t like Haye, he does not represent The UK to me, he only represents a portion of your country. You shouldn’t try to defend a guy that talks alot and fights very little and not that well. No we don’t hate the Brits, I spend alot of time there and have great freinds. I respect the Brits.
Cant see Adamek winning this fight to small lacks power and not a great boxer. Adamek likes to brawl and that will be his fatal mistake! I’ll make sure to bet on the Fat Guy Arreola!!! But Adamek will look good before hes put to sleep.
Let us not forget Adamek is a stationary fighter., they are both brawlers. if they both get hit clean,and they probably will , may the most effective man win., with perhaps better equalibrium.
This fight has to enthuse the boxing fanatic. Its the ongoing debate. can the smaller man beat the big man when they are both world class. We definately seen the difference in the Areola klitchco fight .,But that was big and bigger. we shall see.
arreola looks in perfect shape to me remember boxing is 90 percent a mental game and adamek isnt no heavy weight,polish people are only good for cheap labour.
I would have picked Chris but he is the pefect example of someone that has the chance of a lifetime but the absolute worst dedication that’s why they say talent and natural abitlity isn’t anything without dedication and adamek just so happens to have both adamek by late KO or easy UD
How the hell did the fat guy with no skills got the chance to fight such a great boxer as Adamek who proved to be the best always. Adamek will burn the fat of the Mexican! He will just kill him in the Ring Of Fire!

Adamek’s team know that Arreola is good in USA but don’t know Adamek. They also think that Arreala is an easy one for Adamek but if USa want show they will get it!!! I like Toney – only Toney! But looking at this fight I can see that Adamek will win this and it will be a simple fight for him. He has got so many fights in different weight categories, he knows exactly which guy 2 pick to win and get closer to be the champion. It’s the men who work with him and scout fighters proper 4 him. But always – the fighters must be very good to other normal people’s eys so that he can have a good and well paid fight. Adamek knows what he is doing. He just wannts 2 be the Heavyweight Champion and bring thrill 2 normal USA people!

Hello. I’m from Poland so I’m with Adamek – that’s sure. But I think that he has to be very brave to fight some fighter as Arreola. Two fights in Heavyweight (Golota and Estrada) and now such a good fighter as Chris. It will not be so simple for Adamek but i like that he always takes the risk…

Adamek should win this fight!!!! He’s much more better fighter than Chris in every way. Probably he’ll TKO him in 8-9 round!!!!
i am not a believer in adamek, but if he beats arreola he will leap lightyears ahead of haye and the rest of the younger generation…i just wish the rest of them would step up their competition……because regardless of what you think of arreola’s appearance, just because he doesnt use steroids doesnt mean he isnt in shape…he went hard rounds with vitali without ever hitting the canvas or getting exhausted….
Adamek was 220 1/2 against Estrada so he is at least in better shape. Arreola was 263 against Minto ! So he lost quite a few pounds to recover the weight he had against Vitali Klitschko.
Cannot wait to see this fight. If Adamek wants to win this he has to move much more and much quicker than against Estrada. Because this time one big shot from Arreola in the first rounds could cost him the fight.

Adamek does NOT look like he’s very solid at the weight! He’s not a true heavy but that doesn not mean he won’t make for some entertaining fights!
