Boxing fans worldwide want to see one fight: IBF, WBO and IBO World Heavyweight Champion Wladimir Klitschko against WBA World Heavyweight Champion David Haye. Now, triple champion Klitschko is taking action and officially calls out David Haye in a video message. Haye has already pulled out of fights with the Klitschko brothers twice.
Here is what Wladimir addresses in his message to David Haye:
“I want to send this message to boxing fans and directly to David Haye. David, you’ve bitched out on fighting both Klitschko brothers twice already and now’s the time to make it happen. On behalf of the boxing fans around the world, I am officially calling you out to fight me. You can’t run away from me forever and you need to follow through with this fight if you want to be respected. I’m ready!!! What’re you waiting for?”

Haye has got talent. There’s no doubt about that. But so do many other professional boxers on the world stage. You don’t get there without talent. Football teams get to wipe the slate clean every year. And so do most other athletes with every new season. But not boxers. Every season, day, month, year is counted. The klitschkos are not after haye. They are after the unification of the belts. Haye dosen’t want to lose the belt. Because he’ll stop making money. It’s not a matter of fear. It’s a matter of wanting to keep making money. If he fights the klitschko’s he has no illusions of winning.

Unfortunately if you starting watching boxing only in 99 you really haven`t seen many great fighters, the early 90`s were absolutely stellar. Lennox Lewis wasn`t much more exciting than the K brothers and he ruled the division. The reality is that when you are the size of Lennox or the K brothers you don`t have to be exciting and it`s almost hard to be exciting. Imagine fighting guys a foot smaller than you, with your pure reach you can just jab them to death, there`s no need to get flashy and their size doesn`t allow it. With or without Haye the `exciting factor`is still heavily missing and 1 guy is not going to make the difference unless he fights every week and the thing is that when you have the majority of HW boxers being very stoic, plain style boxers anybody with a little flare is going to stick out and Haye is already talking retirement so I wouldn`t hold my breath for Haye to save the division.
Who need who. The HW champ chasing and begging a guy with 5 or 6 HW fights?
Boxing is hurting period! If it wasn’t for the proposed fight between Manny and FMJ boxing would not be a mainstream topic at all. Many blame the hugly popular UFC for this but iy’s not true.Politics are the scourge of EVERYTHING!The sooner people realize this the sooner people will realize action must be taken soon or our ways of life,(the world over) will be obsolete!

i dont think haye is that exciting, i said hes a hell of a lot more exciting than the klitchkos, this is how sad the heavyweight division has been for years.

I was thinking the same thing..! Another video and explain to boxing fans around the world that he is offering 50/50 purse for the fight – no excuses.
Personally, I believe if you made all of the fights 50/50 we would all be seeing more of the match-ups we really wanted to see, no excuses. This whole dictating of contract terms and one-sided purses are really hurting boxing in a big way. I don’t care who you are, there are two boxers in the ring.

Although the Kbrothers are really not that exciting they have proven themselves alot more than anything Haye has done.Haye talks and if he does end up walking the talk against one of the kbrothers he had better be packpeddling the whole fight for if he tries to nail Wlads “glass” jaw then he had better watch out for his own glass chin?

I hope David puts this guy in his place. I have much more respect for vitali than this mug. This guy thinks he is the most dominant guy in the world however that aint true because has not unified the heavyweight devision and he never will because he will be defeated by haye and he will never fight his older brother which goes to show that he doesnt know whats good for boxing!!!!!!

but to be honest in order for heavyweight boxing to get on the map, the klitchko brothers must fall.
they are the opposite of enertaining.
haye is the most exciting thing that has happend to the heavyweight division since lewis/klitchko fought, and not to mention haye has only fought only like 3 heavyweight fights.
In Wlad’s next video he should state his terms for the whole world to hear straight from him. Although Wlad has every right to dictate terms, I’d love to see him offer 50/50 and anything else Haye wants and let’s see what excuse Haye has for not accepting.

Martin – I agree with you. The Klitschkos want Haye. They recognize he is a worthy contender and they look forward to the challenge. Hopefully it will happen.
Isn’t it amusing how the commentors on here who are klitschko fans get so riled and upset by the mere mention of haye? Like nobody in boxing has ever badmouthed any other boxer before. That’s what the sports all about, rivalries, get over it. Don’t let haye upset u so much fellas. Calm

DC – all boxers need to fight top quality opposition to cement their legacy. Haye is the only fight of value currently out there for the K brothers (other than a fit Lennox Lewis for Vitali) and the K brothers are the only fights of value out there currently for Haye.
These matches will happen if both parties are reasonable with their contractual expectations.
Let me put it this way. The Klitschkos DO NOT NEED Haye…….they WANT him……in order to shut him up. The K’s have a secure legacy….does Haye? Klitschkos are proven Champions and future HOF’ers…….is Haye? Who needs who?

No argument here. The Klitschkos do NOT need Haye. They are HOF’ers already. Haye is not. No one can argue that the K’s need Haye. No way.
For those people out there that don’t think the K brothers need Haye as much as Haye needs them, here are the facts;
- Haye holds the 1 worthy World title that the K brothers don’t have in the WBA title.
- The K brothers refuse to fight each other and the alternative options are limited; Valuev is interesting because of his sheer physical size and extended defence of the WBA title but he was beaten and made to look ponderous by Haye. Other top rank fighters lack the commercial value and track record that Haye enjoys.
- Haye is a promoters dream; he’s fast, powerful, handsome, articulate and happy to work on pre fight promotion. He also has good amateur and pro pedigree, effectively unifying the World cruiserweight titles before stepping up to successfully win and subsequently defend the WBA heavyweight title.
- The K brothers have been in some pretty dull fights recently (partly due to poor challengers) and could do with entertaining and challenging contests to help cement their legacy in years to come.
- Haye has managed to get under the K brothers skin with a few promotional stunts adding a personal dimension to a future contest.
- I’m not aware of Vlad ever publicly calling out a potential opponent in such a manner. In doing so he has shown how desparately the wants the Haye fight and this will be taken into account in the pre fight
negotiations.
- Haye boxed very well against a fit and determined Ruiz and is an entertaining boxer that can employ different styles and tactics to win fights.
Booth called K2 and said the fight is off, it would take 3 weeks to “heal”. Wlad said “ok”. Then Booth called again saying “hey no it’s 5 weeks”. Wlad said “ok”. Then it was Booth calling saying “no wait, it’s 8 weeks, maybe more”. THEN Wlad said “go f*ck your dog and eat it”. So, OF COURSE, it was WLAD who walked !!!! Coward !!!!! Ma’ boy Hoi would never do this if not injured, and near to death!

If (and I mean if) the terms are right for both parties then this fight will happen. My concern I’d that Vlad will want too much, when actually he needs Haye asuch as Haye needs Vlad.
I would also like to see this fight take place outside of homeland Germany for obvious reasons.

They have ruled the division since Lewis left and have beaten everyone in front of them, honestly they have nothing to prove, they`ve taken all the fights in front of them and won them where as Haye has a pretty weak body of work and has EVERYTHING to prove. Without these fights Haye is absolutely nothing but the K brothers have already had very good careers.

In fact WBA belt belongs to Holified ater the Fight beetwin he and Valuev. The judge stole the belt from Holifield. Haye got a luct to steal from Holified. Hay is nothing to me. He just fight with all the older fighters. If he was the good fighter he will go to in the ring against Klitschkos. Haye is a coward. that’s all.

It should be 50/50 because the klitchkoes need this fight, they have been on top of the heavyweight division for a long time yes…. but look at what has been stood infront of them…. utter crap! vitali is the bets of the two and he deserved a rematch against lewis but since then they have thought very very very poor heavyweights hence the state of the heavyweight division.
The fight would most likely take place in england @ wembley or O2, and wladamir has already said he would fight have there because it would create the most money…. another reason for even split as it is in hayes soil.
Haye has created this big money payday fight, and he says he only is going to have four more fights so he wants those 4 fights to all be big pay days.
Klitchkoes need haye badly, they have more of a legacy to prove than haye who already admits he wont out do lewis and how cna he in four more fights?

Haye v a Klitchko is indeed the ONE fight all boxing fans want to see.
But last time Vladimir gave Haye a contract to sign it had clauses for 3 more fights with them IF Haye won and he got sod all money wise.
Give him a contract he will sign and he WILL sign. All these shouts that Haye has punked out fights with a Klitchko twice. 1st time its Vladimir who walked after not wanting to wait, 2nd time Haye didnt sign a contract to walk away from after yet again it was a joke contract.
Looking at these contracts id be asking the question about Who exactly doesnt want to fight who? Personally i think all three have no reason to run. So lets get it on.

Think about it….no matter what the split is…..if Haye can beat Wlad and take 3 more belts he would deserve the negotiating leverage against Vitali at that point walking in with 4 belts and you know Vitali would settle because he’d want revenge so bad! He is gonna look like a fool if he doesn’t take the fight, since he ditched both brothers once each all ready. He should take the fight and worry about making money afterwards. Because, if he beats Vlad (Who holds three belts), he will be sitting on the top of the world….the money will come then.

The guy has got you all talking, Haye ha successfully promoted his brand into a global Market and providing K2 show us the contract demands and don’t just offer Haye out with a stupid split then we can all know the truth. I think Haye needs to make a change in two areas, his head trainer is not up to elite championship standards and his conditioning looked awful against a very faded old man in Ruiz. Hay will be out of his depth against either of the K-brothers at this stage. He is not slick enough(slow footed, slow handed ruiz was able to connect at will). he is not fit enough by a wide margin, he was breathing heavily in round number two against old, worn down Ruiz. Stop lifting weights and work on your footwork, your defense(you will need it against wladimir K) and most of all your stamina. Until he does those he will be KO’d.
Well, i don’t have to point out that in a on article on here in the past where David Haye says that he is not into boxing for the money, rather the legacy. So, he can’t cry 50/50 now. So, lets see if he puts up or shuts up.

People are saying Wlad shouldn’t make ridiculous demands….but didn’t Haye sign to fight Wlad before? Why wouldn’t he agree to it again? And don’t try the WBA belt excuse. Wlad is the real lineal Champion. That WBA belt provides no leverage.
Ruiz was a harder fight for haye than this will be, Wlad has no heart atall he’s a powerhouse who cant take what he dishes out, hes like cotto on steds! Vitali would be a more intersting fight he’s got a ruthless side to him even though he’d hide behind his left paw all night if he could. In an ideal world Haye knocks Wlad out in 1 round, beats Vit on points or late stoppage knocking out 1 of the big russians in between them fights. After that haye will be 30 wanting 1 more fight before retiring and Chad dawson will step up maybe meet at a catchweight and haye can destroy him and sail off into the sunset. Adios

As I have stated all along, Wlad is the one Klit brother that is made for Haye. I would expect Haye’s speed of punch and poweer to take Wlad out inside of 3/4 rounds !
However, Vitali is a different matter altogether – he is made from far harder stuff than his younger brother ! A Fight with Vitali would be a difficult one for sure, but I would take Haye to still win in a hard fought fight.
