Clottey is not as well known as Mayweather because he is a gentleman. I can assure you verybody knows him in Ghana.

    Ghanian fighter vs. Filipino fighter

International fight. action-filled 12 rounds, toe-to-toe, blood for blood.

Shane and Floyd, Las Vegas vs. California

Overhype. Trash-talk. Bad acting. run-around, tag-me-if-you-can fight (that’s why Floyd wants a bigger ring size).

    Who R U Picking?

  • irish boy says:

    @Lex

    Mosley? Didn’t Cotto beat him?

Marquez? really? Will Marquez win over Cotto? totally different league.

Mayweather? well, 40-0, 40 fights, never asked for a blood test because he knows he will lose.

Who else is there to fight but Clottey, who gave Cotto a beating.

Do you even think Mayweather even considered him as an opponent?

Again, you don’t only sound like a broken record, you are a broekn record. Talking and saying same lies all the time.
Your appetite for distorting facts makes me throw up..

And yes, it’s confirmed-comes May 1, ducks and chicken will be served at MGM Grand.

Pacquiao is only a 6-1 favorite. Not like he’s cherry-picking. He turned down Mosley, Mayweather, and another fight with Marquez for an unknown 6-1 underdog. Spin it however you want, but those are the facts. I’ve heard both duck and chicken will be served at Cowboys Stadium to match the personality of Pacquiao.

  • gio says:

@mayor im no fan of mayweather but why did pac throw away 25 million just cuz he didnt wanna give a tablespoon or 2 of blood? And then his team sets him up with a fighter that wont even be a challenge?? Plz, just put hate and fovoritsm aside for a moment and lets look at this logically.

Personally, Im all for blood testing. Lets see who is tha real deal and who is just cheating to the top. Im tired of losers like barry bonds getting records and they are all lies. If manny isnt a cheater than let him prove it. Shane mosley beat de la hoya…while on ROIDS. tats not a win on my book. Vargas was on ROIDS when he faught de la hoya too. There is too much cheating goin on. Lets clean it up and give real credit to real champions.

  • mayor says:

I can’t believe Mayweather refused the $25M dollar fight so he can clean the sport.

    Honestly,

That is the weakest analogy I’ve ever heard, guns and knives? This implying some juxtaposition that Pacquiao is taking something.

The bottom line is PBF believes Manny is on PEDs. Without testing he’d be at a mental disadvantaged because, for whatever idiotic reason, he believes his opponent is not fighting fairly. This would adverse affects on him in the ring.

Clottey doesn’t think he’s taking PEDs. He never said he was clean, he just doesn’t believe the man’s on anything, and rightfully so. Clottey isn’t at a mental disadvantage. As far as he knows it’s a clean fight, and the best man will win.

It’s a difference in state of mind, it has nothing to do w/bravery or lack there of. However, common sense does play a role, and Clottey’s got more of it than Mayweather.

Thanks for the uploads btw, nice vids.

    @Fighter

I agree with your second post.. First one… not so much… You say Clottey is a better man for fighting him and in effect saying “I will fight Manny, no matter whats he’s on.” Thats not a smart way of thinking whatsoever…. That could be compared to someone going in a gun fight with a knife and saying “I dont care if he has a gun, I’m brave enough to fight him.” Smart people will not look at that as “oh he’s so brave give him kudos”, they would look at him and say “he’s an idiot for willingly going into a fight with a disadvantage”. Now do we know for a fact Pacquaio is on PEDS no not at all, thas not what I’m saying.. But for you to say he’s a better man for fighting no matter what he’s on isnt logical… No smart person would think that… Well no unbias smart person…

I dont care what you say, Im a Mosley fan but Im goig to watch this fight !! This will be a non-stop action plus it’ll probably be a while before someone fight at this stadium again of this magnitude. Some of my friends are either Floyd fanatic themselves and a couple of them are Pacman followers and we’ll all going to watch on PPV (im the lone Mosley fan) !!! I dont give a sh*t what they say about Pac or Clottey…this aint no walk in the park ! this is action !

    Whatever….

  • Fighter says:

T-Dogg. I agree that Clottey is more technically sound than Pacquiao. Pac’s faster though, but it’s an ugly kind of fast. Sort of a wirlwind of punches just flying everywhere. Hopefully, Manny will punch himself out against Clottey’s forearms, and Clottey will be more accurate with his few attacks. He needs to step up his output in this fight. Especially to the body. I would’nt try to do a bunch of stuff that might confuse myself, or take me away from what normally works, but just make slight adjustments. Dispite all the hype about how great Manny has becaome, beating him should’nt be all that hard for a fighter of his calliper or higher. It’s just hard for me to put him up there with the greats, when he is so technically flawed, and has fought such…selective fights. Manny bends down at the waist when he jabs, almost reaching. He drops the right hand when throwing the left. His footwork is ugly. He makes many mistakes, that can be capitalized on. He’s also not invincible as far as his chin either, as we’ve seen him get rocked a few times. It should be interesting. Not the megafight that will be Mosley/Mayweather, but it’ll do to hold me over til then.

  • Fighter says:

I blame Manny and Floyd for the falling apart of the fight. At first, we were all harsh on the guy we did’nt like, Manny or Floyd. Personally, I was disgusted with them both. But now that some time has passed, I have an additional outlook. I have not abandoned my disdane for either guy, because they’re both acting like they got a little too much punk in their pants. But here’s a new outlook:

    2. Clottey, and anybody else who fights Manny hereafter will make Floyd look bad…win or loose. If Clottey fights him, PED’s or not, and weathers the storm, then in the eyes of many (myself included), he’s a better man than Floyd. Until or if he ever fights Manny. Personally, I don’t think it matters if he’s taking something or not. PED’s don’t make you forget all your bad habbits and technical flaws, so who cares? If Floyd is the diety he acts like, he should have no problem with it. This is HUGE for Clottey, because he is , in effect saying, “I WILL fight Manny, no matter what he’s on”
if in fact he’s on anything at all.

  • Pound4Pound says:

Hate Manny or Love Manny, this isn’t going to be a walk in the park. The great wall of Ghana will take Manny’s punches like pillows. Whether Pac is on PED’s or not, that probably won’t be enough. Its annoying to hear Mayweather fans hate on him, even though he still wants to fight Floyd. More than likely that fight will still happen. So, it wouldn’t matter if your a Floyd fan or a Manny fan. The only difference is, is if Floyd loses to Shane then the fight with Pac and Floyd will make less money. Pac dont care about money since he is a billionaire in his home country but he would still love to have this fight, he said it before. Floyd and maybe some of his fans might think that money is all that matters. However, its the fighters who get paid, not the fans! So, the fans of the payday should careless, unless they are getting paid. Fans should only care if the fight happens. The bitterness on both sides is very annoying.

two clowns above commented as if they were pros in boxing. Just shut up and watch who’s the no.1 P4P again.

  • T-Dogg says:

Clottey is going to catch the world sleeping and dominate this fight. Manny is “saying” that this will not be an easy fight, but the way that he says it feels like he’s underestimating Clottey. I hope that Manny doesn’t think that Clottey is all muscle and no skill, because Clottey is more technically sound than Pacquiao.

  • EL Cocorote says:

Iam telling everyone who reads, PAcroid is going to have to digg real real real deep to get a victory, in fact he may not get the victory, in fact he may have to have roach shoot up em or give em a sip “from the special bottle…”anyway, pacroid may win, im not gonna sit here and sayd he has no chance and talk a whole lot of crp, but i wont be suprised to see clottey win, and get this not on pionts, but a late stoppage, anyway this is what i wanted to say.
THIS EVENT is based on the stadium and not on the fighters its like its a hype job for th stadium every article i read is,
“On MAcrh 13th in a 1.2 billion dollar stadium in…”
