Pacquiao beats up on Roach during training

By Eric Thomas: World Boxing Organization welterweight champion Manny Pacquiao pummeled his trainer Freddie Roach during a recent sparring session while the 50-year-old Roach wore body armor and hand mitts to block the shots of Pacquiao. According to Abc- Cbn News, some of the shots that Pacquiao threw grazed the chin of Roach. Pacquiao apologized for hitting Roach, saying “Sorry, Coach, sorry.”
Roach wants Pacquiao to attack Clottey’s body, telling Pacquiao during a recent sparring session” Kill the body.” Obviously, this is being done in response to the fact that Clottey puts much of his energy into covering up his head in his fights. Miguel Cotto exposed how vulnerable Clottey is when you attack his body in his fight with Clottey last year in June. In the later rounds, Cotto attacked Clottey to the body while he had his back against the ropes, and found a great deal of success while working his body.

the pacman beating up roach is similar to floyd’s beating up oold fighters like marquez & mosley — similar in the sense that he can’t knock them out!

What’s new? He beats up washed up fighters and recently beat boxers and he’s on ped’s. In fact mayweather should have been the first real contender, true welter weight, not washed up, or just recently came out of defeat. But! and watch pac punching the 100 lb heavy bag utube, he doesn’t hold back ,he hold the bag up,in a angle with combination punches, and he step into and hard punch a returning swing bag senting it flying back.try that,and you will break your arm.
then ive seen floyd do the heavy bag ha,ha, the bag doesnt move much.I couldn’t stop laughing when he does the continuous kangaroo uppercuts.

I hope Clottey has been working on improving his work rate and staying off the ropes so much.If he has we could be in for a great fight!

Roach needs several other coaches to help him out already, so it is kinda surprising he takes the shots. Gotta respect Roach, even though he runs his mouth, trash-talking and putting down all Manny’s opponents. Of course he is right when he points out the often obvious weaknesses of Manny foes. Many believe thats why Manny fights them instead of the best at any given division.

i have nothing but respect for freddy roach. was a great action fighter in his day and still takes punishment training pacman. this should be a good fight, manny always comes to fight and clotty is solid. hopefully we will see pac mayweather soon.
