Mayweather praying for Pacquiao defeat?

By Gary E G: No I’m not trying to contradict myself, I would just like to respond to some comments that were left on an article I wrote yesterday. Some commentators seemed to believe that I thought Mayweather was overlooking Mosley and only had his mind on a Pacquiao super bout. Others believed that Mayweather would be praying Pacquiao would be defeated because he is scared to face him. This misses the point of what i was trying to say.
Why did he demand Olympic style drug testing? Maybe he is scared, maybe he is trying to get on Pacquiao’s nerves or maybe he suspects a cheat. Who can know for sure, the truth is it’s hard to understand the motives of a man who uses more talking points than Bill O’ Reilly: I want to thank god for this victory, I’m in the cheque cashing business, I never seen a man who didn’t want to take a 25………yada yada yada. In fact comically in a recent interview with Brian Kenny when asked about potential loss in earnings from fighting Shane Mosley instead of Pacquiao, Mayweather stated: Money doesn’t define who I am as a person! Yeah sorry what’s your nickname again Floyd? Defensive genius indeed.
Shane Mosley has a chance to win and will not be overlooked. But Mayweather is not scared to fight him and I doubt he is scared of Pacquiao either.

Lets set the record straight. Arum is no fool. He’s a business man. He needed mayweather’s name to sell the pac-clottey fight. They never intended to fight nor do they ever intend to fight money may. Arum tried to be slick and creep through the back door by trying to put margarito on the pac’s undercard. it was arum who said “we want to get margo maybe one or two fights, then fight pacquaio”. But texas slammed that door in his face and denied margo a license. now marg’s is trying to fight in mexico, but if they deny him..then what? I just read on boxingscene and arum said “if clottey wins we will seek a rematch. he doesn’t have a clause in the contract. he’s not obligated to do so” (thats a paraphrase).
Yeah okay. and if frogs had wings they wouldnt bump there butts when they hop. arums is riding pac until the wheels fall off. and pac will continue to fight top rank fighters until he chooses to hang em up.
If clottey wins and refuses to rematch..he’ll probably never see a big pay day again. he will be resorted to fighting guys named oliver mccheese. arums bubble was busted when may and mosley signed to fight. he was talkigng big stuff about filling the arena, now he’s back tracking. mayweather is doing one thing right for sure…he’s taking his career into his own hands. when its all said and done..I believe he will have his health, he’ll be able to enjoy his life, and when he does interviews he won’t be slurring his words or grindin his teeth trying to talk. big up to money may

When this man whom you described as a man of faith blatantly thrashed talked, falsely accused a fellow fighter, tells a thousand lies, cheats, exploits and worship money as his God, then where’s his faith? I pray daily that you guys bad mouthing mayweather and saying he will definately lose never post on the site again after he beats mosley… as I also pray all the pacfans stop posting on this site when he refuses to fight floyd and finds another weak opponent to fight.. Hell he might fight Shane despite the loss to Floyd and what Roach said, but I’m sure you all would find a reason to justify why he fought the LOSER and not Mayweather…

floyd is scared to face somebody that has the ability to knock him out, the reason why he is facing mosley now is due to embarrasment. people know he is a genius of ducking the best opponent. as for me im not buying or wasting my money to pay PPV to watch floyd fraud act. because if we pay PPV its like tolerating floyd arrogant behavior. this guy think he is bigger than boxing in his own twisted mind. so boxing fans lets show floyd that he is not the boss here. we are.

Anyway, I’m not sure if you’re expressing worry or hope. So, I will assume the latter. This fight WILL happen. There’s too much money and time invested, and too much to be made. If there’s, by chance, an injury or something, with either fighter, it may get pushed back. But, it WILL happen. There’s NOWHERE else for either fighter to turn, and make this kind of bread. Stop hatin’, because, PBF always seems to land on his feet. He found another, arguably better, dance partner, and will come out making roughly the same money, he would’ve made with Pac.
Floyd Is FORCED to fight Mosley on May 1st.
If Shane’s original opponent did not back off at the first place Floyd does not have any viable opponent to face…what Paulie Malignaggi??

People of all races… I personally do not believe that this fight between Mayweather and Mosley will take place. Between March 14 until May 1 something will come up. Mayweather will come up with something that will jeoperdize the fight and prevent it from happening.

Floyd is not scared to anybody not even pacquiao. He is simply scared of losing. His father is a loser and he does not want to be like him.His primary concern is his undefeated record. He will pick and chose his opponents to protect his record.He will demand special terms to duck opponents.He believes that the NEVADA STATE ATHLETIC COMMISSION IS INCOMPETENT.He wants the olympic body to do the testing as if we’re in the olympics.He wants a bigger ring so he can ran and ran as if he’s in the track and field. He wants a bigger gloves (10 oz.) to cover his face from pacquiao’s power. HE is not scared. He just dont want to to knock out.

Manny will fight Shane if his team can’t come to an agreement with Floyd. Floyd has to get past Shane first or a rematch will take place at the end of 2010. My gut feeling is that Floyd will pull off a close decision. I think both fighters are to good defensively to be knocked out by the other. It would make alot of sence for Mayweather to sign to fight Manny but if negotiations stall Arum will either pick Shane or Margarito to fight Manny. This would leave Flayd back a square one looking for a dance partner not named Pacman.
$40 million is quite a bit of money. Thats how much Mayweather is expected to make for his next fight. Pacquiao will be lucky to get a quarter of that amount after paying everyone. Pacquiao could have made a lot more money fighting Mayweather or Mosley or Williams. Instead he’s fighting Clottey. Roach said he was looking at having Manny fight the winner of Mosley-Berto. Then he remembered Mosley is too good for Manny. Mayweather STARTED NEGOTIATIONS WITH MOSLEY BEFORE BERTO PULLED OUT. Pacquiao is refusing to fight the best and making over double what he gets from a B level guy. But obviously fighting the best or making money isn’t important to Manny. The hype train would derail if he ever stepped up and fought the best and Manny knows this. Mayweather can fight Williams for another $30 million after Mosley if Manny develops a new superstition again or some other lie. Mayweather has constantly fought the biggest fights out there and Manny has made a point of avoiding the best. Too many journalists were watching the Mayweather negotations so Manny couldn’t tell Floyd the truth- the same thing he told Mosley- that Mayweather is too good. So he lied about a superstition he didn’t have 9 months earlier or one month later.

Maybe True, but with a dude like Arum that has connection in the Nev Com. Lord knows how many of those test never took place or dissapeared, that is what you don`t understand!! do you know that Arum was investigated by the FBI for fixing and fights and other corrupt issues? dude wake up and smell the coffee!! where there is $$$ there is corruption, So i would not depend on the Nev. Com.

All fighters in major bouts are drug tested every time after the fight. Be it blood or urine. Chavez tested positive with diuretics. The Nev. state athl. comm. drug tested chavez after the fight and found traces of illegal substance and he is suspended for 7 months. Manny Pacquiao on the hand never tested positive in all his fights.Believe it or not Manny have been drug tested many many times and passed. Floyd and his fans made it sound like manny never had a drug test and is running away from it. The state athletic commission where manny pacquiao fought required him to be drug tested after the fight. MANNY PACQUIAO PASSED ALL OF THEM.
i also pray that pacman will lose coz im sure Mosley will KO floyd. People want the match up between floyd and pacman.

Pac needs to fight Shane before he retires, his legacy will not be complete if he does not confront Floyd and take random blood test, because you could hate or love Floyd, we all know this random test is a good thing and the future of boxing, look at how Chavez was caught using illegal substance, by the way “Top Rank” sheep he is.
So if Manny does not take this random testing, it will be a black hole in his career, and forever be mentioned whenever his name pops up!!! so you Pactards, tell your Jesus/Religion, that he has no option!! all odds against him!

Fraud Mayweather’s trademark always finds an easy way out not to fight. He us scared to death by the name Pacquiao that’s why he is doing his fighting outside the ring !
floyed already ducked his way throught the ww division .and floyed said he is one of the best ww .
this is how fm thinks if you have losses on your record you are not a ppv attraction .so that means fm will not fight you .after fm fights mosley there is no one for him to fight,
floyd should take care first mosley and his IRS problem instead of pre-occupying himself with pac’s success or failure. unless he really thinks his business only depends on manny… sounds like that right?

naaah. Pacquiao is a great boxer and a great person compare to Mayweather. he can trust that Pacquiao will not cheat. but he can’t trust himself that he can beat Pacquiao.
Maywwather is sure as hell Pacquiao will win his fight against Clottey, that is why he included the rematch clause in the contract with Mosley. The rematch clause was not an insurance against Mosley in case Mayweather loses the fight. The rematch clause has nothing to do with Mosley.
Remember you guys! It is intended for Pacquiao, so he will never never fight this filipino guy ever! The only person who can beat Mayweather and wipe his face in the canvas is Pacquiao. Mayweather is banking on the fact that Pacquiao will retire if not this year, then definitely next year. That’s for sure. The rematch clause for Mosley was intended so the boxing community and the media will not pester him into fighting Pacquiao.
After Mosley, who is Mayweather gonna fight next that the people will like, who?? NONE, EXCEPT PACQUIAO. He will be trapped into a corner after the Mosley fight. His way out of fighting Pacquiao is the REMATCH CLAUSE. And by the time he will fight Mosley the 2nd time, Pacquiao would be retired and gone. SMART EH?
@mayfeather, blood testing is the only way you say? And you are basing that statement on what exactly? What you have heard in the press and blogs like these or are you basing it on some hard scientific data? Because I heard that a combination of hair follicle, saliva and urine is better and more accurate than any blood test. If you just get rid of the invasive testing, all of these issues go away. Do you really think Manny would put any restrictions on non invasive drug testing? By the way, has even one single blood test been taken of either Shane or Floyd since they signed this contract a month ago?
Mayweather wants to make sure Pac will not sure A-side meth, roids or banned juice. So, the only way to make sure is to do blood tests randomly. That’s it.
Floyd praying? Well, first of all this man has no GOD or if he has God, it’s MONEY. That’s why he’s called Moneyweather. And without a shadow of doubt, his prayers will not be answered. This is in the premise that the prayer of an “unrighteous” man will not be heard.
