David Haye can defeat the Klitschkos

By Dennis Broadhurst: In looking at David Haye and lokoing at the Klitschkos I think that Haye can beat them both. Haye is an extremely fast and powerful heavyweight with good footwork and decent head movement. Haye has the offensive abilities to take out anyone but can also be taken out himself because of a rather weak chin.

Haye vs Vitali: Vitali looked good in his fight against Arreola who he dominated and dismantled and while Arreola had power he had extremely poor movement. Vitali looked slow against challenger Kevin Johnson is his last fight and I think will be even slower against Haye because Haye will likely set a faster pace. By the time Haye and Vitali fight, Vitali may have gotten even slower. I see Haye’s speed, power and skill being enough to win him a decision or even a knockout over Vitali, I firmly believe that if Haye lands his best combintation on anyone then they will drop. Prediction: 12 round unanimous decision for Haye.

Haye vs Wladimir: While Wladimir may be offensively more dangerous than his brother Vitali, he is much more vunerable in the chin department. I think good pressure from Haye could result in an early knockout of Klitschko and I think that he would make a mistake by being too cautious. I think that if Haye puts on the pressure early then he has the best chance of winning. Prediction: KO before round 6 for Haye.

    Wlad is a beast

  • Jeff Tuttle says:

IF Haye thought he had a “prayer” against either Klitchko he wouldn’t have “BACKED OUT” of the chance to fight Vladimir last year !!!
KLITCHKO (either one) would DESTROY Haye PERIOD…….

good point mr c. welcome to don king’s alternate universe…have you seen casablanca…whenever there’s a crime the police commisioner says ’round up the usual suspects’. that’s how don king hands pimps out that belt, only now david haye is one of his working girls

  • jackson says:

rick’s got it right, if mormeck shakes you up…who was not even a puncher at cruiserweight and well over the hill when he fought haye, then you aint got a chance as a heavyweight, because even a glass-chinned heavy wouldnt be fazed by mormeck….haye admits barrett buzzed him…and his punches didnt even faze vlad, its a long way from 190 to 240….

  • rick says:

Haye will not rule the H/W division. Haye will get his punishment in the ring sooner or later. Talk is talk. Actions are what counts. Before the Valuev fight, Haye was bragging and talking about how he was going to KO Valuev etc. Then, in the actual fight he just runs for 12 rds and throws 10 or 12 punches per round.

  • rick says:

Haye does not have the chin to hang in there with big punching heavyweights. If Wladimir lands the right cross on Haye, Haye will be knocked down and possibly counted out right there and then.

Haye is not used to fighting big punching heavyweights. I hope that Ruiz lands some big shots on Haye. I would like to see whether Haye could even take those shots. Lolonga Mock had knocked Haye down. Mormack had also knocked Haye down. Watch that knock down. Haye’s legs turned to rubber when he got knocked down by Mormack.

just me you are either writing bs or havent seen the fight, vlad was never hurt by samuel peter, he was pushed down twice, hit in the back of the head once, and was moving back and slipped the last time….meanwhile vlad won every second of every round except for those “4″ so-called knock downs…meanwhile haye was knocked down, staggered and hung on for an entire round against mormeck…mormeck! i can assure you that no cruiserweight would ever dent vlad’s chin…i don’t think haye could, he had to hit mormeck on the chin for 9 rounds to ko him—really, doesnt sound like he hits that hard…add barrett has been knocked out in 4 out of his last 5 fights, twice quicker than haye did it, where do you get he has such a great punch….? barrett, who staggered haye, also staggered valuev twice when they fought…and his punch never even caused vald to even blink….sam peters is not slow, he has fast hands and would ko haye easily…as would most heavyweights, when haye gets the courage to fight someone under 35 and in the top 10….

When Vlad gets tagged by a good punch from any fighter goes back into his shell, leans back, and pokes out that right hand like a lance. It would be interesting to see how he would approach a fight with Haye – I think he would be very defensive. It would all boil down to whether or not Haye could pile on enough pressure to get Vlad backed-up and ruin his style.

  • slayer says:

wlad might have a week chin but his defence try gettin past dat while haye is trying to get in to land bombs wlad is going to explod a huge right cross on hayes week chin end of story

  • Pete says:

I have to agree with this article, we know Haye could get clocked himself but he is the only heavyweight with the tools to win.

Lets not forget that Haye is a cracking counter puncher which will expose Wlad, this is why I also predict an early KO.

Vitali is a lot tougher but if Haye can stay focused and stick with it he will get the decision. Haye hits fast and clean therefore is the only heavyweight who can hurt the big guys.

  • BB says:

JusMe, you obviously didn’t watch the Sam Peter fight. Wlad was knocked down 3 times but only one was a legitimate knockdown. The other one was a push and the other a punch to the back of his head and Sam Peter was a huge puncher and a very dangerous fighter in that time. Check it out on Youtube.

Vitali looked slow against Johnson but in his career he always looked best when he is challenged like in the fight against Arreola. That was a great fight and if Vitali is in that shape i think he is unbeatable. He will retire by the end of this year and i guarantee you that Haye will not fight him.

I understand that the heavyweight division is boring right now and that everyone is hoping for some excitement but unfortunately i don’t think that David Haye can bring it.
I like Hayes fighting style but i am dissapointed by him talking so much and then ducking both Klitschkos and choosing to fight Valuev who was not even the legitimate champion at that time.
Many didn’t even see him win that fight. to earn any respect he needs to prove himself against the best and stop fighting bums. I hope he starts doing that soon.

Against any Klitchko Haye will either run or get knocked out. I mean anyone has an outside chance but you need to come into reality.

  • Eagor says:

Haye running and avoid fighting with Klits , talking and writing any articles is nothing serious we have to trust. Anyone who believes that Haye can beat Klits , please tell him to fight any brother .Here does not matter any contract and any money if Haye want to prove that he is stronger then both Klitshchkos .
Fact is that Haye will loose to both of them 1000%

  • David says:

Klitschko will own Haye enough said

  • patpump says:

Haye will not get past Ruiz much less some of the elite of the division

  • JusMe says:

Heres the fact of the matter. Sam Peter a slow plodding, slow-handed, one-dimensional fighter was able to put Wladi on his back 4 times. Wladimir’s chin is certified glass, this is just the truth, but the thing that makes him so good is him using his reach and fighting from range and sticking jabs and rights in these guys’ faces so they can’t get in on him. The thing about Haye is he’s agile enough to avoid, evade, and get inside the guard of Klitschko and trust me when he lands Wladimir is DEFINITELY falling.

As far as vitali goes, he’s just getting old. This is actually a slightly easier fighter for Haye in my estimation simply because Vitali has absolutely no legs anymore and if his last fight shows us anything he’s starting to get faded in the championship rounds. Fact is Haye has got every tool necessary to beat both Klitschkos now its all about making the fight happen.

  • BB says:

I think that Haye has much more a problem of being off balance than having a weak chin. he is a big puncher but he leaves himself very open and is vulnerable because of that. Wladimirs chin is also not as weak as some say. he took some huge punches from Samuel Peter and although he was knocked down in that fight he recovered very quickly and won very convincingly. he has since dominated every opponent he faced. Haye has not proven himself against any serious heavyweights yet and i don’t see him knocking him out with one punch. Hayes problem is that he will not get many chances of hitting them and might take too much punishment early in the fight. it would be a interesting fight but my prediction is that Haye will avoid them as long as he can and try and keep his belt against weaker opponents. I wish him good luck but i don’t think he has a chance against one of the brothers. He underestimates the heavyweight division and would probably loose against fighters like Arreola, Povetkin or Chagaev.

David “The Hayemaker” Haye will knockout both the Klitschkos with ease and save the heavyweight division… David “The Hayemaker” Haye will save the day!!!!

The editors really need to do a better job

  • rob says:

answer me this……where do people get off saying haye has a weak chin ?

his only loss to date was against the former cruiserweight world champ in only his 11th fight, and beleive me carl thompson could bang..!so there is no shame in that loss, but it was not a knockout haye lost by tko, the ref stepped in due to the amount of punishment thompson was handing to haye.

and if its the half slip come getting punched on the back of the head when down on one knee by monte barrett, then…please pull the other one.
and to add more barrett is a known concussive puncher with 20 knockouts on his resume from 34 wins.
he also was down against mormeck who again is a known concussive puncher although at cruiserweight…with 20 ko’s from 34 wins.
to date haye has beaten all before him other than the loss in his 11th fight, he has gone onwards and upwards since that setback nd his become undisputed cruiser champion and know holds a title at heavyweight that he took from a guy that has given ex-world champions alot of trouble.

but, please tell me why haye keeps having this so called weak chin questioned ? wheres the proof it is weak ? he has been knocked down BUT got up and went on to stop his opponents, in the past fighters who have done that at world level have been labelled true champions an warriors, because the sign of a true warrior is surely how you deal with adversity and turn the situation around to one to your advantage and take victory from the hands of your opponents.i don’t see where that shows he has a weak chin…only a huge heart and will to be the victor in each and every fight.

GIVE HAYE CREDIT FOR HIS ACHEIVEMENTS SO FAR AND DONT QUESTION HIM UNTIL THE IS PROOF THAT HE ACTUALLY LACKS IN THE AREAS THESE CLAIMS ARE BEING MADE IN.

i’m with u on vitali i feel hes there 4 the taking i think johnson coulda won a decsison if he didnt bottle it and fought more,, however wlad would pose serious threats 2 haye hes just 2 much of an accomplished boxer

  • Darren says:

It’s all about the Hayemaker, those robotic Klits won’t know whats hit them.
