By Michael Katsidis: I think it is number one priority that I gladly can annpunce that Juan Diaz has offficially accepted my challenge with an immediate public response. Already this shows his willingness to what will be another exciting battle. I know this fight will be at his weight division of which he was formerly crowned the lightweight king of the world. Now I am champion and I am prepared to put my belt on the line against the very best, and at this weight Diaz is assured to be all that is expected. I want to make a firm point to the boxing public. I have held back the truth to my demise in ouir last fight having suffered a broken hand in the second round of our last fight. Let it be known I will come forward, I will deliver and just as I have regained my title I will dominate all that I fight as now I am far more hardened and experienced then ever before in my career. I mean this with the most humble intentions but making sure to allow prior notice so all can witness the turning point I have worked so hard for.

To demonstrate my willingness to make this fight, Team Katsidis offered to enter the back yard of Diaz in Houston in order for him to acceot this fight. Many have doubted the decisions handed over in the past. Yet, I remain silent. My time will come and with good faith I will not leave the decision of this fight in the hands of one judge.

It is with great honour Golden Boy Promotions made our first fight happen. Walking back to my dressing room after my bout with Diaz in Houston, I was enthralled to have Oscar pull me over from the side the road, from his vehicle just to tell me how great he thought the fight was. This fight now is in the hands of Golden Boy Promotions and I believe Oscar is a fighter and he too would like to see me make right and I can capoitalise on the greater points he and I spoke about on the outcome of the fight that night. Like many great battle have been made before, here you have two very willing warriors prepared to give it all for the the championship of the world..

I know there are many great fights to be made and I am not match maker nor am I a promoter… however any man with one string of common sense would not stand to tolerate the comments having being said about me by Amir Kahn the current WBA Super-lightweight champion of the world. Kahn boasts to the media he will hit me three times to my one. This is a direct message to Amir Kahn and you can post this on youtube with your past derogatory comments. I ws told your trainer accepted to fight me, he has confidence in you to beat me on the 27th March. It is clear you don’t. The Television networks, the promoters and all the people wanted this fight. I was told the only person that refused this fight was you. And..against a lightweight. Amir it is needless to say but far to many brits shake my hand and wish that one day we fight.

My deepest sympathies to the Guerrero Family and i hope and pray everything will be ok for them .
