Ariza pleased with Pacquiao’s power – News

By Eric Thomas: World Boxing Organization welterweight champion Manny Pacquiao’s fitness trainer Alex Ariza is impressed with Pacquiao’s power, saying in an article at the Manilastandardtoday that Pacquiao’s power is “unreal” after watching Pacquiao beat up on sparring partners Mike Dallas Jr. and Raymond Beltran last Saturday. Pacquiao reportedly stunned Dallas in the 2nd round of their sparring session as Pacquiao pummeled him.
Pacquiao will be facing former International Boxing Federation welterweight champion Joshua Clottey on March 13th next month at the Dallas Cowboy stadium, in Arlington, Texas. Although Clottey was beaten in his last fight against Miguel Cotto last year in 2009, the WBO still has Clottey ranked number #1 in the welterweight division, which is why Pacquiao opted to fight Clottey rather than someone else who hadn’t been beaten recently.
Ariza, still gushing over Pacquiao’s sparring sessions with Dallas and Beltran, said, Pacquiao looked phenomenal today. He looked the best that I’ve probably see him. His [Pacquiao] footwork, speed, power was unreal.”
In his last fight, Pacquiao stopped former WBO welterweight champion Miguel Cotto in the 12th round in 2009. The fight was one-sided from the beginning with Pacquiao’s speed and power simply being too much for the slower Cotto. For much of the second half of the fight, Cotto was in survival mode, moving constantly.

Hmm quite logic you got there. Pacman cherry pickng a fight boxer at higher weight, most recently Cotto. Mayweather fighting biggers guys? Uhh Manuel Marquez? Asking Marquez to come up to cath weight at 144 and Mayweather coming in at 146. Yah I agree, that’s a good defense. We will see what Mayweather is made off once he square it off with Mosley.

the only thing manny has improved is his chances of winning by cherry picking. isn’t it funny that after manny signs on for a fight, freddie roach starts flapping his gums as to when manny will finish the fight. so floyd hasn’t changed his game because he thinks he’s the best? floyd used to beat people up at 130 and 135. but since he’s fighting bigger fighters, he’s relying more on his defense. its because of that that manny doesn’t want no part of him. manny and freddie always give props to those pushing the fight to manny. but once floyd came up, freddie opts to say that it wouldn’t be entertaining. that’s code for not winning.
What other thing that differentiate Pacman with Floyd is that Pacman not for once thought he is the best fighter in the world, he always thought that his opponent are far better. That is why he work very hard and willing to learn more. Floyd thinks he is the best boxer ever that is why he stops learning. We will see what Floyd is made of once he face Mosely. I hope he will not delay his figth with Mosley to disrupt Mosley’s momentum like what he did to Marquez.

Pacman is one of the most transparent boxer in the world. He is always surrounded by people and he has nothing to hide. People see him workout in a gym. He has already been an inspiration to many.

I agree you cannot please everybody. And its a human nature to get envy and jealous but it is an evil to accuse somebody that may not even know what they are talking about. I also agree that Manny’s heart is like Rocky. He loves boxing and he is winning in a clean and gentleman way. That is why he is an icon and inspiration to everybody. you know why? because when he retired he thought the sport of boxing was done with him and pacman became the new SUPERSTAR, good guy that everyone was rooting for..mayweather was indeed upset because boxing didn’t need him and every body was praising pacman for the way he was coming up in weight class and destroying bigger guys..that’s why the mayweather’s gang came up with this whole roids allegation to completely discredit pacmans achievements..although senseless and baseless they succeeded to some degree and at least put a sense of a sense of doubt in the public’s opinion..also, floyd jr is jealous because pacman has balls who’s not scared to engage someone much bigger than him..

Cant’t please everybody. But history will tell and time will be the judge. When the book of boxing history is re-written Pacman will emmerge no.2 or no.1 if he conquers the middle weight (but that’s too much for him, actually welterweight is way too much already). That is why an aroma of Jealousy and envies are brewing around the boxing world. What makes Pacman different from others is his heart. The warrior spirit on Pacman can only be seen in movies like Rocky Baloboa.
