Roger Mayweather to go to Court January 25th; Pacquiao stripped of IBO title – News

By Peter Wells: Roger Mayweather, uncle and trainer of Floyd Mayweather Jr. and father of two children, will arrive on January 25th in front of the jury on the charge of allegedly assaulting of female boxer Melissa St Vil. Mayweather was caught with his arms around the boxer, but has said that she had attacked him first. If she was to have attacked Roger, then Mayweather will get off with maybe just a fine or a few months in prison.
Roger has trained his nephew Floyd Mayweather Jr to become the unbeaten best fighter on the planet, stepping in for Mayweather Sr. It wasn’t the best thing to do, but why would you do something like that when you have so much to lose. I’m not saying he’s innocent or guilty. Only he and the St Vil know what really happened.
It would be a great loss in boxing and for a very long time. Mayweather will get his father Floyd Sr. to train him, but still he has children and would not like to end up like Floyd Sr and Floyd Jr were like before being back together.

Pacquiao stripped of IBO Light Welterweight title
Manny Pacquiao as we all expected to happen sooner or later has been stripped of his International Boxing Organization Light Welterweight crown which he took off Ricky Hatton in just 2 rounds last May. Manny Pacquiao has only fought once since for the WBO and WBC Diamond Welterweight titles and is scheduled to defend against Joshua Clottey in March. The IBO title is now up for grabs as a vacant title. I doubt we will get a good fight out of it, but the IBO can’t have Manny keeping hold of it for as long as he likes if he doesn’t plan on fighting at light welterweight.

Everyone calling Mayweather names look at the case! The so-called victim lied to police! She later admitted she lied to police! After insisting she didn’t get hit once in a 4 round fight she finally said she got hit but only in the shoulder!!! What?!? How is this St Vil not under arrest for making filing a false police report??? She already admitted she did just that.
This St Vil was just in a boxing match and originally told police she wasn’t hit in the body or the face in the entire 4 round fight!!! She said she was in a 4 round boxing match and didn’t get hit at all. I don’t know what happened but that sounds a little fishy.

Cleaning up the sport(?) should be the responsbility of the sport. Obviously, FloydRoid wants to change the way everyone from here on out conducts drug testing. I guess he is saying everyone that has won in the past didn’t do “Olympic Style” testing so we need to put an asterick next to them (except you know who).

That’s one of the reasons why boxing is slowly dying.

the IBO belt is crap. There are only the 4 belts that are recognised. WBA WBC IBF WBO. You are a world champion if you hold one of these at a particular weight. You are a unified world champion if you hold 2 of them. A Word super champion if you hold 3 of them. You are an undisputed champion. If you have the lot. Most die hard boxing fans will only really recognise the ring magazine as you can only lose this if you lose or retire.
Those 4 orgasnisation that I have mentioned recognise each others belts.
The IBO IBF WBF WBU etc can all F off. They need to put a cap on these belts. I know it will be hard to do but all these belts make the sport a joke. I no some good boxers have held the IBO. But we need to curb this as it gets confusing I can only picture in my mind some s*** fighter hold one of these cR*p belts all of his life. Never fighting anyone good. Then tell his grand kids when he is retired that he was a world champion. It is an isult to the meaning of the words world champion
My favorite moment of roger mayweather’s career is his 2nd fight against Chavez when he quit on his corner in the 10th round. Floyd is smart he won’t quit on his corner, he just won’t come to the fight. because Pac is “using steroids”, because he’s not “ppv attraction”, because he’s…..

This guy has a wrap sheet as big as the phone book and you give him more latitude as to guilt or innocence then you give Pacquiao who’s reputation was beyond reproach until the Mayweather clan sullied it with baseless accusations. Roger should call out Roach on PPV. I would pay to see that. Roger should fight on his weak hand, the other hand should be tight up.. I would still bet on Roger..even if Roach is on steroids.

And the only place that Floyd will fight is in Las Vegas because that is the only state in the US that the drug he is using during his fights is legal–in all other 50 states, that drug is ILLEGAL!!
