Richard Cloutier Joins The Universal Boxing Organization

The Universal Boxing Organization is happy, and very proud, to announce the addition of a true boxing expert to its growing team. Quebec Boxing Council member Richard Cloutier is the new representative for Canada, and will be working with promoters, managers and commissions to bring competitive UBO title fights to “The Great White North”.

“It is a great stamp of approval for the UBO that someone as knowledgeable and respected as Mr. Cloutier has agreed to join us, and I have no doubt that Richard will be a major asset in the future”, says UBO president Joerg Herzog.

As part of his long an impressive resume, Cloutier is a member of the sanctioning committee of the Quebec Boxing Council, an International Boxing Hall Of Fame elector, a member of the Boxing Writer’s Association of America, and publishing editor of Netboxe.com (Canada). He is also author of the biography of former world super middleweight champion Eric Lucas, a book published in 2009.

Richard Cloutier: “I am happy to take on this challenge, and very eager to get started. I believe we will soon see many UBO title fights in Canada, and I am looking forward to working with everybody involved”.

The Universal Boxing Organization was founded in 2004, and currently has offices in Germany, USA, Tanzania and New Caledonia.

With title fights in places such as France, Bosnia & Herzegovina, Egypt, Finland, Tanzania, Kenya, Uganda, USA, Serbia, Vanuatu, Denmark, Poland and Georgia, the UBO has truly developed into a global sanctioning body.

We of course want to present the best boxers possible as our world champions, but we also feel great pride and satisfaction when seeing lesser-known boxers achieve their goal of winning a title, and when smaller promoters are able to arrange championship fights as a result of our cooperation.
