Margarito vs Jones Update

Carson Jones says “Let him Fight!” – Carson Jones is slated to face Antonio Margarito on March 13th, pending Texas approval of Margarito’s application for a boxing license. There has been a loud public outcry opposing Margarito’s reinstatement from concerned fans and boxing figures.
Carson Jones:
“If Margarito is not allowed to fight, that takes food off of my table and robs me of a chance to show the world that I am the real deal and hurts me far more than it does Antonio Margarito”
“I wish people would stop trying to prevent this fight from happening. This is a dream fight for me and something I have worked all my life for to have an opportunity to do. The public needs to let me handle the punishing of Antonio Margarito, because that is exactly what I will do if he is allowed to fight me on March 13th. I ask all the people who want this fight stopped, to just support me on March 13th when I pull off my second upset in a row”
“I think he has learned his lesson and I am not concerned at all about him trying to do any of the things that he has been accused of doing in the past. This is supposed to be his comeback fight, it will be his retirement fight also, trust me.”

all i know is that antonio margarito is one of the elite welterweights in the world. he has called on people like mayweather, mosley, dela hoya and others and i know that he would ko or pound on all of them. i would love to see him come back and take this weight class by storm. viva mexico!
For people saying we should put this hand wraps thing to rest did you forget that he could of possibly killed people with his dirty tactics? Boxing in itself is a deadly contact sport, and the chance of death or severe injury increases greatly when a fighter uses illegal hand wraps. The man had cement hands. To be quite honest, Margarito is a disgrace to the sport of boxing because I believe he knew what he was doing as did Bob Arum and his trainer, and he should be banned from boxing for life.
I think it’s about time to put this Margarito-hand wraps issue to rest. He served his suspension even though he could had fights in his native Mexico or some other foreign country during that time. Give him back his license, put him on a short leash and let him fight Carson Jones in March. We all make mistakes and most people should be given a 2nd chance in life. Margarito has been and will probably always be a tough opponent in his weight class. I say let him prove he is not a cheater by being clean in all his future fights.
And yeah even with the wraps Margarito is going to knock out Carson early!
I agree about not letting Margarito back to fight because of what he did. But since i got tickets to the Pac vs Clottey fight, I wouldnt mind for him to be on that card, so what the hell let him fight. Im sure they will reinstate him back sometime this year anyways might as well be at The Event in Arlington!

Margarito should never be granted with a licence to kill.He is not a boxer, he had intentions to hurt other boxers just to get himself to the top.Send him to be a Mexico Police Officer, he will make it good there.
Good question, why didn’t he fight in Mexico? Is the punishment for getting caught with Plasters down there much worse?
I am really shocked that he is allowed to fight in the U.S. again. But hey, that’s boxing for you. If they can screw up a Pacquiao-Mayweather fight, they can bring back Margarito.
why didnt margarito fight in mexico? is it because mexican fighters down there will try to kill him to get that rep and fight in the states?
margarito is blessed to get another chance let him fight but cotto is done thanks to plaster beat down he took 11 rounds and then defended marg saying it was not his night he still has class but came back done.
I support Jones for wanting the fight. Sure! But I agree with Boxing Fan. Be very careful for what you wish for! Even without the plasters, Margarito is relentless. However, Mosley proved that his in invincible and I hope for your sake you studied those tapes very, very well! I am disappointed with Margarito for cheating and if the boxing world completely band him for life, I would’ve agreed. But it seems that he’s coming back. And if the ruling bodies of the boxing world let him, then we boxing fans should demand that he get punished the good ol’ fashion way…Put him up against the best and let him have it! An execution of a cheater is always worth $49.95 and up!

johnson seems counting the chicks just before even the eggs are being layed,be careful what you wish for because margarito have the skills and talent even without those wraps and it might be you who might be upset and retires after the beating you get from margarito trust me and mark my word.
