The fight with Mosely and Floyd might not happen. According to a source close to the Mayweathers, Floyd is balking the idea of fighting Mosley because of the purse..or the lack of it. Floyd did the math, and his fight with Mosely will make him $10 million or less. The amount of money he will get is not worth the risk. He might sit out and wait the outcome of the Clottey vs Manny. He said basically why he would take $10 million or less when he can make $40 million or more with Manny and not having to take a risk fighting Mosely. Many think $10 million is a lot for Floyd but considering the money he owes, the lavish lifestyle, he needs a lot more. His expenses are, first the purse will be taxed, then he must pay…the IRS debts which he still owes. Banks are going after him for outstanding unpaid loans. Paying his entourage and staff. Paying his trainer Roger and his dad Floyd Sr. Also don’t forget his agent Leonard Ellerbe. Then Golden Boy will take their cut plus expenses accrued. Then Floyd must pay his gambling debts. Also he is facing foreclosure on some of his homes. Numerous exotic cars he owned were repoed. There are liens on his properties. Also his business ventures. His little charity organization called The Floyd Mayweather Foundation. And his most biggest expense…his lavish lifestyle. So in the end, he might just net $5 million or less.

floyd has fought one only one decent welterweight in about five years! and it was an old oscar to a closse split decision!

He wanted to fight Cotto when he first moved up to welterweight but Arum didn’t want them going against each other as he thought Cotto was still ‘green’ and wanted to build his rep as a welterweight first.

As for Mosley, he’s been calling him out since 1999 when Mayweather was a jr lightweight and Mosley was a lightweight, he last called him out in 2006 when he wanted to fight either him or DLH, Mosley ducked him because he was seen as a big risk for little reward, it wasn’t until Mayweather beat DLH and was the big draw that Mosley was interested, Floyd wouldn’t fight him then because Mosley wouldn’t give him the chance earlier when he wanted it.

Cotto has never been the undisputed champ whoever claimed it, Zab Judah was when Mayweather agreed to fight him only he lost to Baldomir in his tune up, Mayweather still fought and beat Judah and then beat Baldomir straight after.

Manny will be a very wealthy man, and could possibly be the President of the Phillipeans.

That will not change whether or not they fight.

One of these two is a winner, the other a loser.
