Helenius stops Lamon Brewster in 8th
By Erik Schmidt: moments ago, former World Boxing Organization heavyweight champion Lamon Brewster (35-6, 30 KO’s) was stopped in the 8th round by fringe contender Robert Helenius (11-0, 7 KOs) at the Jahnsportforum, Neubrandenburg, Mecklenburg-Vorpommern, Germany. Brewster, 36, was dropped in the 2nd round by the 6’6 1/2″ Helenius. Brewster was later cut over his right eyebrow. He continued to get hammed until being staggered in the 8th.
The referee then stepped in the save Brewster from taking any more punishment at 2:31 of the 8th round. For Brewster, this is his second consecutive loss and his 4th defeat out of his last six fights. Brewster might need to consider hanging up his gloves at this point.

Helenius seems to be real deal. He is big and has good power. He sticks to gameplan and avoids stupid mistakes. He has decent speed for HW and solid footwork. After 2 round hard KD it was clear that Brewster has no chance. Helenius should next fight someone who is inside top 30. Maybe 3 or 4 fights more and he is ready to challenge top-10.
For Golden Boy: You have no clue what you are talking about. Watch ballet from now on.
Helenius is sugar and has no real power. this guy is like valuev: tall, dumb, and slow.
he has no future in HW
Robert is a real deal. We might be the future of HW division.
When you look at Robert Helenius he just does not impress with big muscles and bulging arms that is until he starts punching. Fast, hard hitting, this guy could have a future in heavyweight boxing.
You have to like his cool style as well, Robert keeps his concentration under control and goes in for the “kill” at the appropiate moment. I liked what I saw, keep it up Robert Helenius…
Brewster is like most of the fat us heavyweights i cant see why they are are not working as Crash Dummies at least that way they would have had “meeaningful lives
brewster was never very good, avoided any serious contenders when he was champ, including a rematch with vlad, he was lucky to have ever been champion, more from his talent as a punching bag…he gets credit for a ko of vlad, when vlad just fell over from exhaustion….take that and be glad for the gift and retire..
loistavaa robert
