Gamboa destroys Mtagwa

By Jim Dower: World Boxing Association interim featherweight champion Yuriorkis Gamboa (17-0, 15 KOs) made easy worker of tough Tanzanian challenger Rogers Mtagwa (26-14-2, 18 KOs), taking him out in two rounds at the Madison Square Garden, New York, New York. Gamboa’s speed was way too fast for the slower Mtagwa, who was quickly knocked down in the 1st round and another time in the 2nd. The fight was stopped by referee Steve Smoger at 2:25 of the 2nd round. Mtagwa gave Juan Manuel Lopez fits in his last fight, hurting him badly and almost stopping him before losing a 12 round decision.

juan manuel lopez trying fit his weight in 125 bls because he doesnt want to face gamboa in 130 bls.
Juan Manuel Lopez is a sack of patato compare to “El Ciclon” de Guantanomo Yuriorkis Gamboa. You have no idea in what kind of problem Juanma is getting into if he figths Gamboa. Gamboa has more speed, more power, and much more technique than Juanma. I am not saying that Juanma is not a very skilfull boxer but in my opinion he does not have enough for Gamboa. In the United States manny Boxer fans dont know to much about cuban boxing. From “Kid Chocolate” in the early nineteen hundre, “Kid Gavilan” in the fifthty, Mantequilla napoles to now boxer like Casamayor, Erislandis Lara, Solis who beat Haye when they face eachother as ammateur and Gamboa, Cuba has always produce world champions. Remenber that there has never been so many cuban boxer defect from cuba at once to come figth as profecionals but now that they are here they will give you a true class of boxing. I hope they match Juanma and Gamboa soon that way you will see if Juanma is a true boxer.
before people says that gamboa looks better than juanma because he was fighting a easy figther ,that mtagwa was to strong that he was better than his record ,he has a chin like a rock, juanma words let gamboa figth mtagwa to see what happens, now that he destroy mtagwa in 2 round,he is to easy ????? and juanma is figthing a champion????? yeap a fake champion…. and juanma open his mouth after 4 round he was tired plssssssssss
What? He just annillated the guy who was seconds away from knocking out Juanma and that’s not enough?? Gamboa will blow Juanma away, I didn’t realize Juanma was that much slower than Gamboa…
GAMBOA LOOKED GREAT TONIGHT! BUT IMO JUANMA WILL TAKE HIM DOWN, WHY? BECAUSE GAMBOA HAVENT GONE LATE ROUNDS TO PROVE HE GOT HEART NOR HAVENT FOUGHT ANYBODY “GOOD”, GAMBOA NEEDS TO FIGHT MORE TO PROVE HIMSELF. BEATING MTAGWA MEANS SH*T. gamboa is a beast. Juan manuel lopez looks tired on this fight with luevano. I think gamboa will beat lopez
