Ward looked impressive whereas Dirrell was dreadful, he is a good boxer but has no confidence or killer instinct, besides his punches fell short or hit frochs right hand which was up by his chin. Taylor gave Froch trouble, landed good shots etc. The thing is Dirrell talked the talk but didnt deliver. I mentioned before that in the 4th round Froch missed a shot and was i a crouchlike position,perfect for Dirrell to land a big shot while he was off balance but instead opted to take four big backward steps across the ring, even the most defensive fighters like Winky Wright and Floyd Mayweather wouldnt have passed up that oppurtunity.

Good Artricle. But i see the 26 year old Dirrel outpointing abraham and Ward! or maybe is just that froch is so slow he look super fast! Its funny cause all these European were saying they havent face anyone of their level but yet they couldnt do nothing against their speed!

I thought Froch looked bad against Taylor before Froch knocked him out. Commonsense says Froch will be outboxed by everyone but he is a survivor and has got this far. I think there are still big questions to be answered by Ward and Dirrel. I shall stick my neck out but i think Taylor will beat Ward. When a boxer is headbutted and cut it ruins his gameplan, and makes him desperate. So I don’t know what i think regards Kessler except Ward shouldn’t have been allowed to get away with his “head” work.

I must admit I underestimated the Americans to. I saw them as cannon fodder before the tournament started and although Dirrell spoiled the @#%$ out of the place, he was better then I expected.

And Ward… I think he has a lot more in him then Dirrell does, he’s a really good boxer. But with the Kessler fight I didn’t really know what I saw in there…
Was it just a bad night for Mikkel, was he really outboxed or did he really got headbutted to a defeat? It’s all a bit odd, because of his skill, his experience, his toughness… Or is Ward really to much for him?

Last one is Taylor, still a good fighter but against a big puncher he’s toast at this stage of his career. Maybe he can get a nice close decision against Ward but that’s it… I can’t see him in the semi’s in my weirdest fantasies…

I still think Abraham will win it all… Dirrell can use all his spoiling techniques he wants but wont get past Arthurs defence. Until the powerpunch from Abraham comes trough it will be close, but so are all of Arthurs matches.

Good read. I agree with most of what you said. I actually like Dirrell to upset Abraham in their upcoming fight. Ward should beat Taylor, and I still favor Kessler over Froch even though he looked bad in the Ward fight.

good article. i agree with the view on froch-direll as im also British and gave the fight to direll. also predictions for the semis are correct in my opinion. keep writing please you’l stop Scott Gilfoid and Manny Perez from hogging the sight!
