Pavlik wants Sturm – News

By Peter Wells: Kelly Pavlik’s promoter Bob Arum has said that if Kelly can’t get the fight with Paul Williams finalized then they will go for World Boxing Association middleweight champion Felix Sturm. Paul is happy to fight Pavlik but only for a 50-50 purse split, and if the fighters can’t come to an agreement, Pavlik will get a shot to add the WBA title to his collection, or lose both his WBC and WBO titles. I would like both of these fights to go ahead, but a loss for Pavlik in either of these fights will be a big blow.

I hope the Williams fight come off. Pavlik people saw Williams get dropped in his last fight, so I guess Pavlik got some balls now. You can’t do what Marinez did you clown, styles make fights. Pavlik may hit harder but he is 5 times slower than Martinez and don’t forget Taylor, B-Hop and Espinoza was able to touch that ghost chin. Pavlik, you can let Bob and your trainers fool you if you want to.
I think Pavlik vs Paul Williams would be a good fight. i hope it happens.

Pavlik appears more and more as a true coward he is. Why would he say Paul Williams opted out when his official cancellation reason was staph infection (By the way, there were no scars on his hands at the weigh in).
It seems as though they are already preparing excuses……Just as he did with Abrahams. What a patheticc Coward!
When you hear Pavlik fans say P. Williams does not deserve this or that, it means only one thing: FEAR!!!!

in my opinions,the promoter of kelly pavlik give easy fight to the ghost,you see the fight beetween williams-martinez,its easy to hit paul williams and williams at 160lbs is not be able to take a powershot,imagine williams at 168lbs,he goes to the canvas.and pavlik promoters take easy fight,why pavlik not fight the best?in my opinion,to be proclamed the best,you need to fight the best,i see a fight bettween kelly pavlik and lucian bute at 168lbs.
Go for the unification bout. Help end all the alphabet champs. When Hagler was around, you new who the middleweight champ was! Pavlik can get one step closer to that kind of recognition. Williams is only a contender and doesn’t deserve a 50/50 split…so send him packing if he won’t be resonable. He needs Pavlik more than Kelly needs him.
