Pacquiao-Mayweather, The Saga Continues

by Kaygee Ocampo: When the news broke out that Pacquiao-Mayweather fight will be set on March 13, the news was too good to be true, however as they say, some good things never last. Demands were raise from both camps, demands that generate million questions from boxers and boxing fans alike. Demands that generate doubt to solidify the legacy of Money and Manny. Demands that set the fight not to happen. Demands that if could be answered from both camps with evidences, will turn the dream fight into reality. Here are some of the questions regarding and the fight and relating to every people around it.

The drug test. Why is there a need for another drug test? If blood test were more effective that urine, why does the world does not standardize their method of testing to what test is more efficient? Can the so called “drug experts” provide substantial evidence to their claim that blood test if much effective than the test taking urine? Since Pacquiao and Floyd Mayweather Jr. are set to fight for professional bout, why hire agency that cater to amateur rules/events? If USADA is the standard laboratory for drug testing, why doesn’t professional leagues tie up with them for drug test? What are the reason behind 24hours drug testing? What are its pros and cons if the blood were to be taken 2,3,4,5,6,7 days before the fight and 2hours after the start of the fight?

Bloods and Needles. Can they provide evidences that not all people get physically weakened after blood is taken? Can we question one’s belief even without scientific facts to support it?

Opinions. Why Oscar De La Hoya suddenly had change of heart? Why only now he wanted blood test when his fighter is against a suspected user and not before when his fighter is a suspected user? If Pac punches where nothing as what De La Hoya said before, why did he quit? And why did De La Hoya suddenly felt the punching power? Is Cotto’s claim might only be to increase again his confidence because he have not yet witnessed someone took his punches like Pacquiao did? If you are to say you’re the great, would you make excuses? Is it right that what we call the “greatest” is someone who’s willing to take the risk despite the big disadvantages?

The fights and the duck. Is Pacquiao legacy can be represented by his record and his opponent? Is PBF record can be represented by his record and his opponent? Do both of them fight the top fighters of all possible division they are categorized in? Do both fighters fight all of their opponents in their prime or did they retire them while they are still in their prime? Why did Mayweather retire when all the top welterweights battle for the supremacy of the division? Why he didn’t fight Pacquiao right after he came back? If Mayweather is the champ, why didn’t he fight the best offered challenges? If Pacquiao ducked opponents why would he fight the champ at each division?

The 10million per weight excess. Would the demand be made if Mayweather has not breach the contract when he exceeds the 144lbs weigh-in limits? Is the demand not logical?

IF the blood test will be settled does this mean, every fans is guaranteed of Pacquiao and Mayweather fight? Or are there any issues that will be both raised by each camp?

These questions will silence haters and will make them thinks whose camp says the truth and who clearly duck.

    To all Mayweather fans:

“I am disappointed in the sense this fight will not happen,” Arum said. “I’m not surprised. I always knew Mayweather would kill it because he didn’t want it. He didn’t want to lose.”
Arum traced the history of Floyd Mayweather Jr’s mental state, which he said is coward’s mental state, adding Mayweather will never agree to take a tough fight where he stands any chance of losing reason many of best fights in the welterweight division never took place.

He points out how Mayweather walked away from a very lucrative rematch with Oscar De La Hoya in 2008. De La Hoya gave Mayweather a very tough fight in 2007.

“Floyd Mayweather walked away,” Arum said to USA Today. “Our guy was agreeable, Mayweather wasn’t. It’s not surprising. I always felt that he wasn’t going to do the fight. He knows Manny will beat him. Mayweather’s never stepped into the ring with a guy he had any question but that he was going to beat.”

“That’s why there’s never been a (Shane) Mosley, there’s never been a (Antonio) Margarito, there never was a (Miguel) Cotto, and there’s no Pacquiao. Floyd Mayweather is a coward. He will never fight anyone that will remotely give him a tough fight. Here’s a guy who, the rematch with (Oscar) De La Hoya was a huge fight, it would’ve made millions and millions, and he walked away from it.. .. I’m not disappointed in the sense that I always knew it was going to be this way.”

Mayweather killed the whole deal!!! He never wanted to fight the real deal!

Mayweather needs the fight more than PACMAN does. My prediction … PACMAN will continue to fight stronger and better fighters (without drugs) while Mayweather will go back to retirement, or try his hardest to draw a bunch of suckers into watching him defeat fighters who the world knows he can beat.

Congratulations PACMAN, the title of best “pound for pound fighter” goes to you. And the whole world knows it.

Mayweather, there’s other reality shows that you would be good in. And I’m sure you’ll come out on top in that arena.

check your facts right.. Dont take afraid of needles literally, it means he dont want the test 48hours before the fight, but days prior, he is willing to. For 10million penalty, if PBF doesnt exceed the catch weight with his fight to JMM, Pac would not make such a proposal.

  • lex_fugitive says:

Pacquiao isnt saying he won’t give blood jusst a few days or a week before the fight. Roach had said that and said that a cutoff date of at least 5 days before the fight would be fair. Arum and Manny said Nevada had to do the testing. Mayweather said ok. Then came the excuses. First he was afraid of needles, then he found out he had tattoes. Then he had a superstition about giving blood within 30 days of a fight. Then he found out he did just that 9 months ago. Then he said he would fight by all the rules of all the fights in the history of boxing. Then he found out a $10 million dollar per pound penalty has never been a rule. So he filed a lawsuit and said he wants yuri. 3 excuses, all lies, and no response from Manny to explain any of this.

blood test and catch weight fight dont match as the day before the fight is the weigh in,so if you give blood 3 day or fight day you need to rehydrate (doctor says) eat back to normal, but if the blood test is 3 days or fight day ,you take the blood out you cant eat as 2-3 day both fighter will fast to make the catch weight, its a double whammy to rehydrate in one day. but floyd didnt want the 10 million taken out for every pound over the 147lb so was floyd wanting to cheat and not fast and come over .like his last fight, while manny would fast ,be weak from giving blood and rehydrate half way .
if floyd can slow manny work rate down 700 to 800 punches vs floyd 6oo punches he wins.

  • DBeals says:

Robert you may be stuck with Cotto vs Trinidad. I heard Trinidad has called out Cotto.

Man, gag me with a spoon!!!

  • DBeals says:

Yeah Robert but it’s not random if you dictate when you want the test done.

  • honest boxer.. says:

With all these questions.. can’t see any pac haters comin..

  • honest boxer.. says:

With all the question.. cant see any pac haters? are all of them in doubt now??

  • boxer 101 says:

  • BARELY YOYIE says:

    Saga?

Isnt it clear already that Money is the ugly duckler?
The belt, and split of share were laid down to the table
but look who is not dancing with the music?????????????
Lets give first Mayweather a couple of fight before we can
say that our money is worth buying ticket for this dream fight of the two.(more training Floyd)

he he he told you! No predictions first until both side
    sign the magic contract.

  • BisDak says:

Watch this video in YT. this is the reason why Pacman doesn’t want blood test so close to the fight.

This was after Pacman’s lose to Morales.
