Mayweather vs. Pacquiao set for March 13th? – News

By Chris Williams: Yahoo sports writer Kevin Iole is reporting that the Floyd Mayweather Jr. vs. Manny Pacquiao bout is all but set for March 13th. Iole says that he got the news from one of his sources, so let’s hope that it’s legitimate. The previous rumors that were floating around was that Pacquiao was considering a bout against Yuri Foreman while Mayweather was possibly looking at fighting Matthew Hatton. Not too many boxing fans were interested in seeing Pacquiao and Mayweather fight against those opponents based on the negative comments.
As of now, no site has been set for the location of the bout, but Las Vegas is one of the cities that is being considered.

haha grampa smith i think nepster was just having abit of a laugh dont take it seriously. Those fights you mentioned were the greatest fights in boxing history. But in recent times we havent had anything to match that so the excitement for mayweather v pacman is just huge at the moment

ESPN reported very clearly that floyd already accepted the match, Now is on pac to accepted but on my view is not goin to happend on march 13, we at least will have to wait to may.

i’ve spoken to one of pacquiao’s team they said still on negotiation….. let’s wait and see i hope they will push through the fight although pacman filed his candidacy as congressman but some of my filipino friends they want pacman not to run for dirty politics otherwise his boxing career will be in turmoil! anyway good luck to both fighters!

Manny Pacquiao on boxrec is set for March 13th with the opponent to be announced, Floyd Mayweather doesn’t have that for his next fight just yet. Looks like its up to Floyd to accept the fight on that date then. Fingers crossed, best time to have it while the hype is still huge for it!

I’m sorry but Pacquaio doesn’t need Floyd, he is the current P4P king and set a record of 7 weight division champion. Floyd needs him.

The sooner the better, this fight needs to be finalized, i cant take any more of this waiting! I need tickets to go on sale!, i need to be at this fight!. I cannot wait 10-20 years for the chance to be at a fight any where near as big as this. i sold my car to afford this, i just hope its at the cowboys stadium so theres more of a chance to get hold of tickets. i got connections to get tickets but i still think they will be very hard to come by here in the uk.
I hope the fight happens on march.

well i hope this is true, because this other story of manny fighting foreman and mayweather fighting hatton is absolute rubbish, it makes zero sense to me.
Floyd is the first to agree to the fight, so if it doesn’t happen its on Pacquio
