King Khan ready to take on the world after stopping Salita
By Amar Jahangir: The words of Freddy ‘The Master’ Roach just minutes ago after Khan produced an amazing display of speed, power and intelligence. I hope Khan goes for Ricky Hatton next, I honestly think people do not understand how talented Khan is, at only 22 he was world champ. He is the quickest boxer alive today, even faster than Pacman and Mayweather.
Salita was floored by a lightning-fast left-right combination after just 10 seconds and never recovered.
The New Yorker clambered to his feet, but his legs had gone and the referee had no choice but to step in as Khan continued his bombardment.
He launches punches every five seconds and is now developing his defence, American fans may still be saying, who is Amir Khan? Well he is The Pacmans chief sparring partner for the Mayweather fight on March 13th. Khan in my opinion is the 2nd best 140 pound fighter alive after Manny himself. He will prove them beyond doubt in 2010, he will go for the big names, Hatton and Marquez who now wants to fight in that division.
Who is next to feel the wrath of Khan? Timothy Bradley, the undefeated American is the next target for Roach and Khan, the guy does not stand a chance, Amir is ready to take American by storm and he will be the first stepping stone.

respect to pimp p kam hasn a clue get khan in with someone who aint a cab driver.
as soon as khan gets hit on the chin he will be out cold and all the hype will stop, i think khan is a great boxer but he has no chin and as a boxer that is the worse thing to be without!
good article jahangir, khan was very swift and his combos were very brutal i would like to see khan vs hatton it’s a perfect match the british would love to see, khan will be explosive and then to the states well done amir awesome.
Tim bradley v kahn would be a top fight as bradleys no push over
shut up colly u p rick, ur just a khan hater listen he is hear to stay get used to it or change th channel
Colly- he beat the # 1 ranked fighter for his belt, that’s all that can be asked of him, they’re were plenty of so called experts on here that thought Salita would take Khan out with his big left hook- he needs to step up next year but credit where it’s due- no one can argue that Khan doesn’t bring excitement to the sport
lets be honest he beat a cab driver from new york,i never heard of salita till he took on khan.the ten names above would not give khan the respect he got off that bum last night.he wont go forever without getting caught on the chin.what nationality are you amar?
Somebody mentioned Khan v Mitchell. What makes you think thats guna happen?
Khan made his 1st defence of the Lightwelter crown, Mitchell fought a division lower and thats coming up from his usual Featherweight.
Khan really does need to be taking it to the REAL big boys of the LWelter division now. He has his awful chin but apart from that he seems to have all the tools required.
People are sayin he now has the power, hes always had the power hes just not been using it unitl last night since hes been with Roach.
salita is a good fighter, i’d just like to see khan do more than one round, i’m just glad i never paid to watch the fight
Eye stop indirectly whinging , Salita was undefeated and was the WBA No 1 contender this fight was mandatory get over it geeez
Where is Salita now? after the BIG talk… we need your words man.
i had the pleasure of being there at the metro radio arena and can safely say i have never ever seen a faster punch in my life live or on broadcast; all ten thousand went ballistic. some dude walked through the door as the fight was waved off. the only bloke in the building i felt sorry for more than salita.
im with you on that one zab

i think khan is ridiculously lucky…he has manny pacquiao as a sparring partnr, and freddy roach as a coach! Thats an unbelievable advantage.
for manny’s part, amir khan is one of the fastest hands in the world and a world champion. world champions for sparring partners. I dont think mayweather can match that caliber of sparring.
surely the world wants to see amir take on knockout artist marcos maidana, its the biggest fight out there for khan at present
khan has more to prove still, the sooner he stops fighting b fighters the better.
Personally, I would like to see Khan vs. Ortiz
Personally, I sould like to see Khan vs. Ortiz
After Khan was knocked out by Prescott last year everybody had written Amir off but now they must admit they called it wrong, big time. Khan will be the most exciting fighter in 2010/11.
i dont think we should be talking about marquez or maidana, not right now. i think khan v mitchell up at upton park will be a good 2nd defence. it also gives khan the oportunity to learn his trade with roach just this little bit more.
It’s immensely hard to out-point Amir Khan for anybody in the division. Apart from Pacquiao, no one will beat Khan unless they knock him out in the light welterweight division. He has the speed, defence and now, the power to take on anyone.
Everyone should stop over hyping Maidana. He’s powerful and could knock out amir khan with one punch, but khan could just as easily knockout marcos or outpoint him.
way too easy for khan, i could say i’m disapointed for him having it over quick but salita just wasn’t on his level, khan needs better fighters than that, i want to see khan in the ring with the best warring it out all rounds.
