Khan: ”Froch has proved he is jealous”

By Liam Santiago: Amir Khan told the Express and Star that he believes that World Boxing Council super middleweight champion, Carl Froch has now proved he is jealous of the Bolton man. Khan also stated that he is not the only British fighter to fall as a victim to Froch’s insults. He claimed that David Haye, Hatton, Calzaghe and himself all receive the criticism.
Khan said, ”I think it’s childish, talking about another fighter, and I think that he has shown that he is just jealous. He is making himself look silly and it’s always the same thing – me, Joe Calzaghe, Ricky Hatton, even David Haye get the treatment from him. It makes you think, what don’t you just support people Carl? We are both different weights, would never meet in the ring, so what’s his problem? Maybe that is the way it is when someone’s career is not going the way they want it to go. He’s 32, I am 23, and I am already doing the things that he has done. Maybe it’s just jealousy, and I am just going to ignore him”.
Froch recently stated in an interview that he is not the jealous type and would much rather settle for the ordinary life in Nottingham.
Hopefully Amir Khan will now fight his next challenger, Marcos Maidana in a fight he can hopefully be victorious.

and once again i actually rate froch and not for his boxing skills but coz he’s all heart and there’s only two boxers at present that are all heart froch and danny williams..they are not technically up there with the best but they got a good heart…and i actually rate froch over calzaghe who once again i said was boring against kessler and lost against the LEGEND Benard Hopkins..now s h u t ur mouth Oli

Who has Khan actually beaten again?
Froch is entitled to mouth off at Khan, he’s fought and beaten the better fighters. Khan fought a dull fight against Kotelnik and beat up on a geriatric Barrera.
If Khan wants some respect, he should get up against some REAL fighters.
carl froch has never insulted hatton or haye thats just khans bollocks. He didnt really insult khan he just gave his honest opinion which in truth had a lot of basis to it
Froch has only insulted Calzaghe and Khan, to my knowledge he hasnt insulted Hatton and he is an old time friend of Haye, they roomed together in their amateur careers in Europe and always praise eachother on their victories.
I Can say as an English man, Carl Froch is the only fighter i am looking forward to getting knocked out, The way he talks about other boxers is like Froch as been there and done it all, Froch as still a hell of alot to prove….
But if you can punch at all then u WILL ko him. Had barerra not been cut i believe eventually he would have got inside and put khan out with a good shot
froch is just a heavy bag, he will lose very soon, hes been lucky in his last two fights. i still give him credit, but hes ordinary. if you had to fight for a world title you would want to fight carl froch as hes very beatable, khan is also beatable but if you dont ko him you will probably lose.
Bruno…what does Kessler/Ward have to do with this article? If you followed boxing you would understand that you don’t get a No Contest when being cut, from an accidental butt, in the 10th round. Kessler got his a55 beat…get over it. As for Froch…his 5 minutes are over. Seems like he is trying to garner some attention through s65t talking…hey…it worked for David Haye.

Froch can’t handle another british boxer doing well, he was lucky against Dirrel and should keep his mouth shut about other boxers performing in fights.

I wonder how when Nate Campbell was head butted by Bradley it was a no contest and when Kessler was headbutted 5 times it wasn’t. Maybe it was something to do with them both being American. No European fighter will ever get a fair deal in the USA.
I’m 50 and a Bolton fella. I can tell you Khan is hated by the MAJORITY of the towns people. Cra boxer, cra mouth. Even at my age i’d spark him out cold, unconcious, snoring and leave him for dead. Two fists is what i got and blinding speed. I’d love to accidently pass him in a back alley, no ref, no witnesses, nobody to stop it!

I like Froch as he is an aexciting fighter, but his behaviour out of the ring leaves a lot to be desired. I was a massive Joe Calzaghe fan and I can understand Froch trying to goad Calzaghe into a fight, but the guy is now well retired and that aint never gonna happen. Any one with any boxing knowledge knows that although Froch is a good fighter he aint in Calzaghe’s league and I feel Froch would have gained a lot of support for shopwing Calzaghe the respect he deserves.
