Khan-Bradley will defiantly happen early 2010
By Peter Wells: Well the good news just keeps coming, as WBO light welterweight champion Timothy Bradley’s promoter Gary Shaw and World Boxing Association light welterweight champion Amir Khan’s promoter Frank Warren are hoping to arrange a super unification bout, most likely to be on the Mayweather-Pacquiao undercard. Don’t worry these aren’t silly little rumours, both promoters have been in talks since Bradley clearly outpointed challenger Lamont Peterson.
Without Freddie Roach, Khan would be annihilated, but with Roach in his corner he has a serious chance, but they are the fighters and if it came to that I would have no doubt in my mind that Bradley would win. Freddie knows how to beat everyone, but doesn’t always have it go his way, he has built Pacquiao into a superstar, but it’s not really Roach who is winning the fights for him now, it’s just that Manny is that good. Khan is still being baby fed and hasn’t really been tested by a hard opponent yet, and this could prove very difficult in the ring. It may seem easy for Freddie to explain to Khan how to win, but it won’t be that easy to do it, and really Tim should win this fight.
If Khan is something special then he should win this but unfortunately he hasn’t fought anyone good enough to say he is the next superstar, and Bradley would be the one to expose that. So we may have to wait till this fight happens to see if Khan really is a force in boxing or just another contender like many other hopefuls who have failed at the first hurdle.
This fight hasn’t been made official yet, but expect it to be done and dusted quite soon, and this should get a lot of people talking. Bradley has already proved himself as a great fighter and can adapt to any style. At the moment I would go with Bradley because unfortunately I can’t just go with Khan’s recent fights as none of those fighters are in the same league as Bradley.

I think that khan has the ability to beat Bradley with roach and alex beside him and training with the P4P cham pac-man he is picking up on stuff but as long as he doesnt get caught cold by Bradley!! other wise who knows what might happen.
Jo if you dont believe me that this fight might happen early next year then search on google amir khan and on the news section there it is.
Yeh pigs can really fly then you having a laugh khan will not fight tim bradley the guy would murder khan he would bash him up really bad look for khan to fight another stiff with a built up record who we have never heard of that you can guarantee/
Was the title of this article supposed to be Defiantly or definitely?
BOXING is a lot different to cricket if you dont catch the ball someone else will there is no one eles in the ring to take punches for khon bet he wishes there was though
Peter – What a disgusting article, if you have such clear contempt for Khan, why blog about him
This is the reason i dont like boxing, look at sports like the football, cricket, tennis etc… they all have one thing in common, for a shot at a world cup (football/hockey/cricket) or title (tennis) the best have to go against the best. In boxing however its more about politics…
This is good news. 1. because it shows that the WBA have overlooked the mandatory for the unification, which lets face it is what should happen for the benefit of the sport.2. Bradley was happy to fight Khan in Britain and the fight being in the USA is a good gesture.2. Even if Khan lost on points it wouldn’t be the end of the world, they will both be better fighters for it, and it is Khan’s chance to showcase himself.
im not surprised if floyd wanted out.manny called his bluff and now he is ready to fold lol!!!
Khan has faster hands, and speed will prevail. When Bradley gets hit, lets see if he continues to be aggressive, I really doubt it. Let’s not forget that Khan trains with Manny, and that’s not an easy task. Did I forget that he also has a 5 inches reach advantage?
im not the biggest fan of khan but he would gain a shed load of respect from me if he where to just to take the fight, not once has he fought any “real” quality (barring a shot barrera)…
2010 is setting up to be a great year for boxing with
Mosley-berto
mayweather-pac
khan-bradley
hatton’s return(hopefully)
haye-either klitschko
lots to look forward to
good article and what an undercard it would be. Very hard fight to call, im leaning towards Bradley but i’ve not doubt that Khan will become a superstar in years to come
well if its the undercard of Pacquaio Vs Mayweather i think Bradley will beat him cause freddy would spend all his time with Pacquiao…
These kind of fights are never usually on undercards *sigh*
We’ll just havbe to wait and see. Great fight though. Khan UD
Bradley will win imo due to his experience at the top level and his all round boxing abbility. He has no real flaw but Amir has two, his chin and his lack of experience. Glad he is stepping it up though. Just wish the brits (like myself) would stop hyping him so much over a tiny win over a poor opponent.
March 13 is gonna be one hell of a night, I’m gonna need to call a cab for sure…
bradley will never take this fight because he will get exposed! bradley hasnt fought anybody special. bradley wants to make money and aint guna risk losing his rep just yet. he knows khan wants him and will wait for some time before he choses to fight some one like khan.
Bradley is at the top of the 140lb division.Bradley will out box khan for the whole 12 rounds.Amir should be looking for a unification match against the slower Juan Urango or a fight with Paulina Malinaggi.
Trust me no one is touching Timothy Bradley at 140lb.
im a khan fan and i can not wait to see him step up in class. bradley will fall short against amir tho ,as wud maidana, and ortiz wudnt stand a chance
Neale i probably agree with wat u said ..malignaggi and then bradley..as he’s got 2 win sum kind of fan base in america before he starts looking for the big boys
Great news if its true. Great news if it happens, good luck to Khan this is a massive fight Bradley is very very good and tho not a KO specialist has enough to test a glass jaw, questions levelled at Khan will be answered that night.
And if he gets knocked out trying? so what, atleast hed of put it on the line at the level we say hes been dodging. Good luck to him.
Unlike alot of people i refused to give any critisizm of him having Salita as an opponant, Mandatory defence.
But i did acklowledge that both Salita and Kotelnik were not of the same standard of the big names of the division. Bradley as far as im concerned is a class act and though not a knockout specialist hits enough to floor somebody with a glass jaw.
This is the direction i wanted him to go in, good luck to him.
Would be a great undercard
Huge test for Khan but can see his promoters choosing Malignaggi then maybe Bradley I think they must realise Bradley is the main man in the division and wont wont to rush him
This should be a great fight! Cant wait! I think Bradley will win on points
This is what i want from Khan, people like Bradley, people with the other belts in the division.
If hes guna get Knocked out trying then so be it, if he can protect the chin and use his speed and combinations you never know.
People ripped Kotelnik and Salita apart when they became opponants of Khans but Bradley is a very very good boxer, not huge power but more than enough to knock out somebody glass chinned.
If Khan was to get this fight and win it id love to see how it gets interperated in some articles on here.
so when khan beats Bradley is every1 going to lay off and khan and show sum respect…answer to that is NO..so i will always say the lad is 23 and is getting better..he will develop and get better..by no means is he complete but i think he will beat bradley on points
About time Khan stepped up in class, lets see how good he really is
author is a nonce, khan is nothing special? im guess ur mummy and daddy can throw 5 punches in a second, khan is one of the fastest around, haterz…
Wow a fight like this on an undercard? That would be great, I can’t remember the last time I saw a fight on an undercard that would have been worth watching by itself.
