Jones insists Green should be disqualified; Adamek-Arreola in talks for April 24th- News

By Peter Wells: For the last few weeks Roy Jones Jr has been complaining about the 1st round knockout defeat he suffered to IBO Cruiserweight champion, Danny Green. He has said that Green used excess wrapping tape and bandages around his hands and is requested that Danny should be disqualified. Really this is not that big a issue, but Jones doesn’t like losing unfairly, and who doesn’t. Even if this fight is called a No-Contest, it wouldn’t be good enough for Jones.
Jones didn’t complain straight after the fight; he just took it on the chin, giving credit to Green and his team, but since this has been brought out, he’s been nothing but going on about justice. I don’t know for sure what will happen to Green, so we’ll just have to wait and see.

Adamek-Arreola in talks for April 24th
In recent news, HBO are trying to put together a Heavyweight fight between former Cruiserweight champion of the world and former World Boxing Council heavyweight challenger Chris Arreola for April 24th. Adamek is set to fight Jason Estrada on February 6th, but will be willing to fight Arreola just 11 weeks later. Ever since Adamek moved up to Heavyweight he has wanted a fight with Arreola and a win would put him in line for a title shot later next year. There has been no word from Arreola yet, but most likely will take the offer in California. Despite fighting away from home, Adamek should bring a huge crowd with him as he is a huge hero back in Poland and won’t be alone in America.

look wat roy did to montel griffin in a rematch……….. roy would “MOST DEFINATLEY” win green in a rematch evry 1 knows that, he still has it u watch this space!!!!!!!!!!
I’ve seen the knockdown over and over again and the right was at Roy’s temple.
I believe it was a lucky shot though but for Roy to complain about it now is just stupid.
I like Green’s comment on the subject; ‘I must have hit him harder dan I tought.’ Implying brain damage being the cause of Roy’s strange behavior.
Roy get over it! Take one easy fight against a nobody so you don’t retire with a 1st round loss, and enjoy your retirement on some beautifull desert Island!
you need to prove allegations like that… you do not have to prove you’re innocent unless there is evidence…think of how stupid you sound…
no one deserves anything in boxing, espcially to avenge a loss in which you were destroyed….that anyone buys into this story shows how far american boxing has fallen…its smoke and mirrors time.
Roy believes he still has it,, anyway I still do think he can bring the good all days back.. ROY ONE OF A KIND = LEGEND OF THE SPORT
REMATCH
I do anything to see a rematch jones will smash him
green thinks he is a champ, got jone with the oldest trick in the book snake and hammer bring on the rematch cmon you promoters do something real quick.
RJ should be listen to, he didn’t complain about the tarver and Johnson KO’s but the DG he did so that tells u sumthin..he may be right when they ask DG about it he said “no comment” so RJ could have a case.
@dewi powell..RJ hitten JC with his forearm is not illegal cuz he didn’t do it on purpose..if u actually looked u would see that RJ jabbed JC and was comin with a right hook and JC ducked down tryin to avoid it and accidentally got it with a forearm.
A rematch would be fair for both sides…Green needs to prove that the allegations against him are wrong.
I see Roy winning the rematch if it ever happens
Roy is a legend of the sport he deserves to be listened too.
Maybe he is right, maybe it should have been a no contest. Green and jones should have a rematch as soon as possible.
If roy wins then he can get his rematch and payday with hopkins.
Every man deserves the right to avenge a defeat like the one roy suffered.
Supposing that Calzaghe was unable to get up form the forearm of RJJ, I wonder if RJJ would of liked to rule that a No Contest. At the end of the day what Green did to RJJ was waiting to happen because RJJ’s jab was totally unable to keep Green off, he walked right through it … in my humble opinion.
