By Peter Wells: With the mega fight all but finalized between Floyd Mayweather Jr and World Boxing Organization welterweight champion Manny Pacquiao, the haters are back on Floyd’s back and Mayweather is trying to throw it back at them. Mayweather has had plenty of criticism despite nobody beating him in his 40 fights, so you can’t criticize a fighter who hasn’t had a fault in his career so far. But he’ll never silence his critics even if he beats Manny those haters will never show him respect. So Mayweather goes to talking back, making people talk about him and how great he is, most of the time, Mayweather states good points.
Whether the last sentence will be true or not is still to be found out but both Ricky and Oscar were built up by the media to defeat the ‘Pretty Boy’, but both failed.
Despite being the 2nd best boxer on the planet and before retiring he was the best, Mayweather still gets treated like just a contender trying to win over the fans. Still for some reason we don’t know just how great Floyd is, while Manny is already being named an all time great, something doesn’t seem right.
Floyd once again had to tell us all how great he was adding, “I Just know that nobody can beat me, it is what it is. For 14 years they’ve being trying to find a fighter that can beat me and they’ve come up short every time. The thing is there’s no pressure on Floyd Mayweather. Never. Whoever I face there’s pressure on them because they know they’re fighting the best. When you put in hard work and dedicate yourself to your craft whatever your craft might be, you have no worries or pressure”.
So Mayweather believes he still is the best but he has a lot of critics to prove wrong, but only 1 fight to do it in.

Manny Pacman refuses drug testing???
“Nobody can beat you”? Because until now, you have avoided the fighters that can match up with you. I have to give Mayweather props for taking this fight; I honestly didn’t think he would sign after witnessing the Pac-Cotto fight! Mayweather has avoided Cotto, Margarito, Williams and Mosley (I don’t care if Mosely turned him down years ago; it was before PBF deserved a shot)! I believe Cotto and Margarito would lose to Floyd, but I feel Williams & Mosley have the styles to beat Mayweather. I believe Williams now may be out of the question weight-wise, but I feel whoever wins this fight should fight Mosley (assuming Mosley beats Berto)!
There has been a lot of talk about Manny being on steroids. If that is the case, the Olympic style testing will find out 2 things:
1) He was on the substance previously and has cycled off at least 6 weeks before the fight. What to look for; his size and weight will drop considerably. The difference will be apparent to the world. His head, neck, arms, and legs will be smaller. He will come into the fight around his natural weight around 140.
2)The test will reveal substance abuse and the fight will be cancelled.
It won’t be hard to tell…FYI
I can honestly see Floyd losing this one, not through bias or any dislike of Mayweather as i know his arrogance is only pantomime and that the guy has a good heart deep down but just from studying form, for example De La Hoya and Hatton both had a fair bit of success v Floyd especially De La Hoya only losing via a split decision which i had him winning albeit by a whisker! Manny is a Hatton type fighter but better in every department than Hatton and i thought Mayweather struggled with Hatton for a while and v De La Hoya and as for Castillo 1 well that for me was definitely a Mayweather loss! I really think Floyd has lost his hunger through having the wealthy and flashy pampered lifestyle and really believe that this will show if Manny can drag him into a tear-up. May the P4P king win!!!
Whoever wins this mega-fight gets the bragging right of being the undisputed P2P boxer.

Floyd was beaten in the Olympics by a Bulgarian boxer. He also lost some fights in the amateurs. What the heck is he talking about? He was beaten before so he can possibly get beat in the fight with Pacquiao and any other elite fighters he has ducked.

Jake..get your facts straight…Floyd fought JMM who was the number 2 p4p guy who fought at lightweight..and got beat soundly. He fought Hatton who was a LWW who moved up to fight Floyd..who was undefeated at the time..the fight before that was against DLH who Floyd went up to fight at 154, his fight before that was against Baldomir the WBC WW champion…who is naturally bigger than Floyd who walks around at 180, before that he fought Judah who had a WW belt albeit not legit in my opinion and before that he fought Sharmba Mitchell at 147, which Floyd’s first fight at WW….again get your facts straight!

Floyd called out Mosley twice, yet Mosley chose not to fight him, so tell me how exactly did Floyd duck Mosley? Margarito had 4-5 L’s on his record so did he really “earn” a fight with Floyd? Cotto??? Are you serious? Cotto is a decent fighter but is not a thinking man inside the ring, thus his loss to Margarito (should not have gotten into a brawl with Margarito) and against Pac he did the same thing. Forget the whole warrior mantra, who cares if you have the heart to stand toe to toe but end up getting your butt kicked in the end. How about fighting smart and using your advantages to your advantage. If you can outbox a guy, why try to out slug them? If you can make a guy miss why stand in front of him to take his best shot? In 40 fights only 15 have gone the distance. In 40 fights Floyd has only lost on 1 judges score card..in other words in 40 fights (120 judges) only 1 has scored in favor of his opponent. Floyd has the BEST punch stat ratio in the game. Floyd has faught brawlers and won, floyd has fought boxers and won, floyd has fought bigger guys and won, floyd has fought smaller guys and won. You may not like Floyd but if you pay attention to his work ethic, it’s second to none. Floyd takes immaculate care of his body even when he is not training for a fight and always stays sharp. Regardless of how much you don’t like his talk outside of the ring, he is a true sportsman inside the ring and he shows the upmost respect for his opponent and his craft.

If Floyd Mayweather was so easy to figure out like some of ya’ll suggest, he would have been beaten by now… and NO Castillo did NOT beat him, although it was a close fight that is open to argument. The immediate rematch, however, is not.
Pacquiao is a great fighter, but PLEASE don’t be surprised if he gets dominated or even stopped. Marquez wrote the blueprint on how to beat Pacquiao. In truth, Marquez is the best fighter Pacquiao has faced since fighting David Diaz, a statued replica of Oscar De La Hoya, an over-rated Hatton that Mayweather already knocked out, and a Miguel Cotto that MOST of the media believed Pacquiao would beat anyway. Mayweather has all the tools Marquez has and MORE! You don’t have to like Mayweather, but you HAVE to acknowledge his skills.

Leading up to his fight with DLH, I think Mayweather took chances and fought all that was necessary to get the big payday and clout that comes with winning. When he beat DLH on DLH’s terms (weight, size of ring, etc), Mayweather was not in position to call the shots. If any fighter wants a shot at Mayweather, he needs to take the fights necessary (as Mayweather did) so the fight becomes big enough for Mayweather to take. There is a reason why he now calls himself Money. The only fighters that’s taken the road to demand a Mayweather fight are Pac and Mosley (if he beats Berto).

another way to look at is punch stats. pac always throw 700 to 800 punches in a full fight

Floyd looks good because he fights the ones he’s certain he can beat. He thinks Pacman is a perfect opponent for him because he’s smaller and the money is is irresistible. This is a big gamble for him, but is probably worth the gamble considering the money involved. He’ll lose this one and the real Floyd will be revealed as the product of the media just like DLH and Hatton.
Look for Floyd to do the same to thing Manny as he did to Corrales. Especially if FMJ is the underdog in this fight. Manny will go down once or twice getting caught off balance.
Floid is a fraud, he want’s to fight fighters way after their prime or after they have retiored or way smaller fighters. He has never fought a young fighter in his prime. People are Floid haters for a reason.

I know, there are more greats who used that trick to give them the edge, but it’s still a way of cheating within the rules.
And he still has to prove himself against the bests, and a record is only a bunch of numbers until you know what’s behind it all… Is Julio Cesar Chavez Jr with his 41-0-1, 30 KO’s in the same league or some of that other mexicans who only fight guys with losing records as Floyd? Of couse not, but you have to face the best and under normal conditions! He has to beat Manny and Shane after that without stupid demands and then I give the man the credit he deserves!
After that he can be as full of himself as he wants, and I would still respect him, but I don’t see it happening.

It was all BS made up by Team Pac (F.Roach) trying to play mind games through the media. If you really look at it, Mayweather really wants this fight he’s been bending over backwards to make it happen! Go Mayweather!
Floyd Mayweather Jr is a special kind of boxer and one we see not many of, he has it all, speed, power, defence, a good chin and brilliant footwork. Personally i believe we will not see the best of Mayweather untill the point there is somone his equal in the ring. I think whatever Pacquiao does, Mayweather will step up a gear and will beat Pacquiao on a decisive point victory, winning most of the rounds, fingers crossed for a great bout and for Manny to push Floyd to the point where he has to perform his best or he will lose!.
