There’s only so much one can agree to until it gets to someone and they finally say f! With every demand Pacquiao agrees to, Mayweather comes up with 2 more. Blood tests leading up to the fight and after is sufficient enough. But like I said before, the USADA can test the day of the fight. Why is everyone claiming that Pacquiao is this unnaturally big puncher? If you watch his most important wins he did not crush his opponents with one huge shot – except Hatton – most of his victories against the elite came about from solid volume punching that broke down his opponents. The knockdowns came from highly accurate, fast shots that his opponent didn’t see coming. If any of you criticizing Manny don’t see that this is the case then you are easily brain washed by the media saying that he is this devastating knockout puncher when in fact it is that he is just so fast and accurate that he is able to land so many punches that it breaks down the other man so completely that it looks just so devestating. As for Mayweather and all his demands, if you were Pacquiao and his team, all his demands would probably be getting to you too. Whether he was given them or not it can still try anyones patience. 2)10 oz. gloves
3)More money
4)His name first on the billing for the fight
5)New drug testing
6)Not just urine but blood too
7)Changing the drug screening that has been sufficient in the past but for some reason no longer is good enough

It seems more reasonable that Pacquiao should request this from Mayweather considering they weighed the same at 16 yrs. old and now Mayweather is taller and far more muscular than Pacquiao. Also, isn’t Mayweather’s hypocrisy evident when he says that the drug screening should equal the magnitude of the fight but when he engaged in the fight against DeLaHoya, which was of equal magnitude, he never asked that DeLaHoya submit to anything more than the standard drug screening. If any of you so called scribes remember, the bout was labeled as the fight to save boxing. What better bout than that one to start creating new precedents and standards for how boxers are tested? The Mayweathers also like to consider themselves a boxing dynasty so they should know steroids don’t give you punching power. Punchers are not made there born. However, a whiner and sore loser can be made when they come from an ignorant family that relishes doing things like throwing around baseless, liable accusations, without a shred of evidence.

I don’t know too much about substance testing. But it seems to me that testing after the fight would be a valuable way of knowing if the fight was won fair and square.

Testing right now would be valuable to know if he currently has any of these substance in his system.

Testing for both would give both sets of information.

If they are pushing to only test post fight, it might be possible that they only want that set of results exposed.

Barry Bonds never failed a drug test. Yet he performed in his late 30′s and early 40′s much better than he did in his prime years. Had it not have been for a whistle blower HGH would have never been caught even with a blood test. Manny looks stronger at 147 than he did at 125 and that is not normal. Not when you look at fighters like Alexis Arguello who had 1 punch ko power in lighter weights and lost some of it as he went up in weight. The same can be said for Eric Morales, who lost power as he went up in weight. Barry Bonds never failed a drug test, but we all know the truth.

Remember what happen to Pacquiao when he was taken a blood the day before the fight between first bout with Morales?

Pacquiao was so bloody and fighting not for his life but to the Filipinos as well. He was weak but still manage to fight back against Morales.

Pacquiao is not scared of needles or taken blood perhaps. He is just scared that the first Morales fight will be the same outcome.

Think that Mayweather just beat up the little guy named Marquez. And still wants Pacquiao to be taken blood for drug-testing. Mayweather just bring some excuses so that the fight will not happen.

1st – Floyd wants it 65-35 split in his side
2nd – Floyd wants the fight at 154 lb.
3rd – Floyd wants to be Olympic-style Drug Testing

The testing that Manny’s Camp wants is the testing done by the MLB, NBA, and NFL. Submitting random urine tests, and 3 blood samples. Urine is just as sufficient as a blood test, difference is urine test will show immediately, blood tests show it no matter what, 2 or 3 months after it will show. But Liam, being tested after the fight will nullify a win and will in the long run ruin a reputation. Why would Manny want to do that? Don’t be such a Manny hater. Bottom line is, boxing has been in Vegas for years and years, decades, and they have used the same testing since the beginning of the decade in contract with Las Vegas. 3 scheduled blood samples, and unlimited amount of urine analysis, why stop now? Manny wants it this way. However, Mayweather cries to the heavens for random drug testing, which, as 2nPac said, can be done at any effin time.

This is just simply a ploy by the Mayweather camp, honestly, Mayweather didn’t pull this against De La Hoya, Hatton, or Marquez, but for a fight of “this magnitude” he makes an exception. Manny is still fighting no matter what on March 13th, whether or not Mayweather will take the fight will remain to be seen.

Answer this: How many fights has Mayweather fought is USADA testing?

Manny has fought all these blockbusters without this kind of testing. Why is Mayweather backing down? 12 hours before the fight would you like your blood taken? The reason manny wants the regular testing after is because, IF he did indeed take steroids or whatever it is, it will show and nullify the win because c’mon! steroids don’t go away in an evening.

So I must say, Liam, you are being way too hard on Pacquiao. Mayweather needs to submit to regular testing. No matter what, testing is testing, and it will show up, steroids do not disappear from the system in three months, but what Mayweather is asking can effect the fight and training.

I agree with you Liam Santiago 100%. Olympic style testing is more rigorous than the drug testing performed by the Nevada State Athletic Commission and other state commissions. It would involve random blood and urine testing before and after the fight. Nevada commission testing only tests urine for banned substances, once just before the fight and once immediately following the fight.
