Carina Moreno Receives Special Award At WBC Cares Event

Women’s boxing champion, Carina “La Reina” Moreno, received a special award from the WBC at their WBC Cares Christmas Toy Drive event ,which took place this past Sunday in Los Angeles.

World champion Israel Vazquez and famed trainer Freddie Roach, plus a number of other boxing icons joined Moreno in the festivities.

“Anytime you can be part of an extraordinary event like this is special,” said Moreno. “It’s the Christmas spirit and I’m glad to be giving back to those who are less fortunate. To be here with all these great people in boxing is something I can take with me for ever. I want to thank Dr. Noriega and the WBC for inviting me.”
