The outcome of this fight will depend on the quality of Mitchell’s defence. If Mitchell keeps it tight, makes Prescott miss with his sweeping shots and counter punches with authority I believe that he will win on points or by late stoppage.

If Mitchell get’s wreckless in the early rounds then I see Prescott winning.

Needless to say Brit fighter = Gilfraud prediction they will lose – surprise, surprise.

there are questions to be answered with mitchell stepping up in weight, but ability wise he is streets ahead of prescott. you have obviously not seen mitchell fight very much have you?

Interesting … is this another ‘bash the brits’ rant or is Scotty boy actually saying something ?

Uhmn, now I do think that Mitchel is a little jumped up at times, but he is a genuine talent, no doubt. I do agree, however, that this really is a dangerous dive into the deep blue, and not only because of coming up in weight. On the contrary to Scotty, I think the move up in weight will benefit Mitchel somewhat, making hiom a touch faster than Bredis ( very important if Mitchel is to get inside and make his shots count agauinst Bredis.
Bredis can be wobbled and is no ‘iron man’ … yes, he is a lethal puncher, but I am sure that Mitchell’s people were fully aware of this fact before they took the fact – this, in turn, means that they have put together what they believe are the effective game plans to beat the guy.

I think if Mitchell can control his agrresive style and has the ability to take the odd shot here and there, he will win this … possibly by stopping Bredis and making a real announcment about his arrival in the division. However, to stop Bredis, he needs to respect the fact that bredis is constantly dangerous as long as he is on his feet !

mitchell will win, he’s a slugger yes but can box very well also. Scott it was a well written article but i think you over estimate prescott.I cant see him winning on points and i can see him getting outworked by mitchell. Mitchell has not looked good of late but he has all the skills he needs to beat prescott.

mitchell has took a risk by taking this fight but then who else at this weight that is british would? exactly wat i thought no one to many boxers including khan especially are being brought through the ranks wit a silver spoon. they need to fight real ppl an that is exactly wat mitchell done a few fights back against johannson even tho i dont see carl at prescotts level he is still a banger an a good well schooled fighter. after two rounds if it does go that far my money would be on mitchell prescotts big wild swings i can see being avoided by mitchell an he will then take full advantage of the open chin that prescott provides this will be a war not a first or second round knockout mitchell has a chin unlike tinchin khan cant wait for the fight going to be a cracker

i dnt fink it will be that easy for prescott.mitchel has hell of a chin,i followed alot of his fight agaist sum prity big bangers and hes never realy been flinched,so any1 with his chin and power will always have a chance.

Another biased and pointless article by Scott whats his face (boring zzzzzzz). I think Prescott has explosive power for the first few rounds but as he proved in his last fight he cant carry it through to the later rounds. I think if Mitchell is able to move and make Prescott miss it will wear him out and Mitchell could get the win
