Alvarez decisions Tyner
By Eric Thomas: Unbeaten welterweight contender/prospect Saul Alvarez (30-0-1, 22 KOs) defeated Lanardo Tyner (21-3, 13 KOs) by a 12 round unanimous decision tonight at the el Meson de los Deportes in Tepic, Nayarit, Mexico. Despite not having faced anyone of note in the welterweight division, the slow of hand and foot Alvarez is currently ranked #4 in the World Boxing Council, #5 WBO and #6 in the WBA. Alvarez is still only 19, but is painfully slow in terms of hand speed.

canelo is young but has talent, has discipline and most important he owns heavy hands, he need a new trainer to take him to the next level. he is not slow he is learning cus as you said he is only 19.
wow, someone’s drinking hatorade. in your brief paragraph you mentioned he’s slow twice. Alvarez is only 19 as you pointed out and is still a work in progress. He has faced decent competition especially when you factor in his age.
If Alvarez wants a title shot then he’s gonna have to fight WBA interim champ Vyacheslav Senchenko, because he is not going to fight Mosley, Berto, Pacquiao, or Mayweather.
The only other option is IBF champ Isaac Hlatshwayo, but Alvarez isn’t ranked by the IBF.
Eric Thomas is an idiot.
