By Liam Santiago: After being knocked out in a matter of seconds against Breidis Prescott, I really thought that would do Khan a world of good and place his feet firmly back on the ground. But, no. He is still waffling on about achieving more than any other 22 year old, being a better champion than blah blah blah and even the ridiculous idea of beating Ricky Hatton. Is it any wonder the guy is not a fan favourite?
The idea that Khan could beat Hatton is laughable and to call the Manchester man out straight after his defeat to Pacquiao, when it was clear the Hitman was on the slide, was totally disrespectful. If Khan thinks Hatton’s punches will feel like Fagan’s or Kotelnik’s, he might be in for a huge shock. Lets face facts, Amir Khan can not take a punch. Hatton is known for his intense punching power. He has stopped Castillo, who was never stopped in 70 odd fights. He stopped Kostya Tszyu. What chance would Khan have. He would do well to last a round.
According to Khan he is a better champion than Frcoh. Is that really true? Even though Froch has entered into a tournament to fight the best in his division, putting everything on the line. That can’t be right. Lets compare. Khan has beaten Kotelnik. Froch stopped former undisputed middleweight champion, Jermaine Taylor. Let me put this straight now, Amir Khan is not a better champion than Carl Froch.

i think one of the reasons khan has become so unpopular is their treatment of living mexican legend marco antonio barrera. that fight was a disgrace and of course barrera wasnt going to end the fight.
watch frank in the background when he signals to the ref on the videos, the ref then calls the doctor in and the fight is ended, but the cut was no worse than the first time the doc looked at it. how dare they treat barrera like that, team khan lost alot of fans that night, it was disgusting. barrera asked for a rematch and was turned down.
Shabaz, Dont get carried away. You say Khan getting knocked out in such a dramatic manner was a fluke??? was it a Fluke that he was knocked downed and alot of people say out in the ABA’s?? Was it a fluke that Gomez put him over in their fight?? Was it a Fluke that the Feather fisted Limmond knocked him down a couple of times and very nearly out??? Face facts as much as you hope im afraid Amir Khan for all his undoubted Talents with his great hand speed fitness and general Boxing ability he is probably the most vunerable chined Champ there is at the min. Fact!!!! Sadly its only a matter of time till he gets put to sleep again. I myself would like him to go on and prove everybody wrong. Will it happen?? Time will tell.

Froch never got killed inside a minute by an unknown so lets not get carried away with the Khan band wagon. Give me a break who cares what Froch has done? its got nothing to with Khan still not proving himself. I agree with mini bunce could you imagine if Khan fought like Froch he would be murdered by critics. Thankfully he doesn’t.
He’s a better fighter than Froch that’s for sure, and you who disagree don’t know anything. Has speed with both hands and feet, good boxing skills, good defence. Froch is the exact opposite as he showed against Dirrel.
in my opinion hwan does not have the grit to fight the best at 140 his management is going to hide this fact by pairing him with third rate fighters and try to land a big fight when he runs out of other options. kwan has been spoild first they got him a fight with an over the hill barrera a fight he won thanks to his homeboys in england in my opinion that fight should have been stoped and declared a nocontest now he tinks he can fight another wasted fighter in the likes of hatton if he was realy looking to demand respect from the boxing public he would ask for a title unification with maidana or the other champions hell i would settle for him fighting victor ortiz.
Castillo never been stopped in 70 odd fights…forgot to mention that he has been Technically Knocked Out 6 times, one of them being a cut. Your facts are as believable as the wizard of Oz

i think froch is not a diserved champ, hes crap to watch, cant sell tickets and has no technical skils. he’s been lucky so far cos taylor is washed up and dirrel was robbed. kessler would kill him and so would of calzage and hopkins, they are champs.

he may never be a legend but he has achieved a world title at 22yrs so he’s done very well.
in every walk of life self belief is important, he had a huge knock to his confidence, he believed he was unbeatable and a world champion in waiting and he was knocked flat in 54 seconds but a far more powerful and dangerouse fighter that no one had ever heard of. he’s trying to regain that self belief and defend himself. there’s nothing wrong with that.

it annoys me that freddie has said this and then they make excuses as to why khan isnt ready yet to fight the best, but he will be in a few years….

There are alot of young champions at the moment, and considering a 22 year old is the WBC champion in the SAME DIVISION as Khan, shows he is up his own @ rse and doesn’t actually watch alot of boxing(so much for loving the sport)
Champions under 25 that i know of are-
Sithsamerchai- 24- WBC straw weight champion
Marvin Sonsona- age 19 – WBO super flyweight champion
Salgado- age 24- WBA super feather champion

Khan is a fight dodger poor old prescott smashed Khan in under a minute. He has got no rewards for that. Khan got a title shot on the back of headbutting barerra. Then won the title by doing the hit n run technique. I hope the ukranian born yank smashes him.

Problem with Khan, apart from what Sharpy said which is totally true, Is hes talking about him being at a certain level when infact hes at a level below.
Well dont to Khan beating Kotelnik and winning the WBA belt, well done to him for facing the WBA number 1 challenger. But in reality theres a fair few boxers that would of beaten Kotelnik, and a fair few of them would of done it in a much more impressive fashion.
And Salita is not in the elite band of Light Welters either.
Khan has done well but boxing fans aint stupid and we are listenin to a man talking like hes king of the world, we accept what hes done but it aint half as impressive as hes making it out to be.
Problem with khan is his mouth talks before his brain has told it to.
