Weigh-In: Bute 166.8, Andrade 166.71
By Jim Dower: At today’s weigh-in, International Boxing Federation super middleweight champion Lucian Bute (24-0, 19 KO’s) came in at 166.8 for tomorrow night’s bout against challenger Librado Andrade (28-2, 21 KO’s) at the Pepsi Coliseum, in Quebec City, Quebec. For his part, Andrade came in at 166.71. Andrade will be attempting to avenge his controversial 12 round decision loss to Bute from last year, a fight in which Andrade knocked Bute down in the 12th round and had him on the verge of a knockout. However, the referee repeatedly told Andrade to go back to his corner after the knockdown of Bute rather than just giving the count.
