Although Haye is young, hungry and perhaps a little too over enthusiastic, I just cannot honestly see him even scratching the big Ukranian powerhouse. Vitali’s punches are like a hydraulic piston, and he can hit VERY hard. I believe all the talk from Haye about beating him is just hot air to psyche himself up. Don’t get me wrong, there is a remote chance of victory for the Londoner, but Vitali has an iron will (and chin), and I’d be very surprised to see Haye last more than five…

david haye does not have the power to hurt dr iron chin vitali klitschko. in all his bouts todate vitali has never been knocked down.vitali has ko a very high percentage of his apponents- vitali in under 6 rounds.

By the way, your opening gambit is completely non-sensical. The fact Vitali is making ‘dire predictions’ would have no bearing on the outcome of the fight. Unless Vitali is an oracle whose predictions always materialise in fact. What would you expect him to say? That he would get knocked out by Haye? If you want to talk about the likely victor in a contest between these two, make your prediction on the basis of each fighter’s merits. Simpleton

Haye has 21 KO’s from 23 pro fights – how could you compare him to Chris Byrd?

He employed tactics for Valuev to win the fight in his backyard, while still rocking him in Rd 12 and will be back to his explosive best against Ruiz.

118-111 for Haye using the 4 criteria for scoring pro boxing.

On defence, Haye won every round.

On ring generalship, Haye won every round.

On clean punching, Haye scored on 10 rounds, 1 round tied, 1 for Valuev.

On effective aggressiveness, Haye not aggressive enough to score on many rounds and Valuev’s aggression was ineffective in many rounds. 10 rounds with neither winning, 1 round for Haye, 1 round for Valuev.

Rewatch the fight and score the proper way (without ignoring defence). If Willie Pep can win a round without scoring a punch while making his man miss, then David Haye can win by landslide landing a few each round while doing the same.

Roots , you seem to miss the point. You say your rants are in response to some one else. Fair enough. Maybe you should then look at what we are responding to. Gilfoid is a fool, he only writes ( i use the word loosely ) about British fighters, and he 100% of the time runs them down. So he cops for some stick.

Typically British ? A melting pot of nationalities means you cannot be typically British.

As for the keyboard warrior comment, pot, kettle and black come to mind.

How you can’t see the inconsistency in praising dirrell and criticising haye is baffling. Well at least it would be, if your agenda weren’t so brazen.
